    1. Bravo for Sheila Gunn-Reid.
Some members of the Media Party have crossed the floor. Briefly.

“It’s a long, long road, from which there is no return
While we’re on the way to there, why not share?
And the long doesn’t way me down at all
      He ain’t heavy – he’s my brother
      He’s my brother – he ain’t heavy – he’s my brother …”

    2. Nice to see solidarity among the journalists and stand up to the pissant freeland. She is a certified phoney.

SGR (who sounds somewhat like freeland-ha) generously mentioned Andrew Lawton and his news group True North. I’ve been a fan of Lawton’s for years. A solid conservative worthy of support.

    3. My guess is that the liberal media objected because it was what they wanted, but it would look bad to go so far so fast .

      1. Possibly. My guess is that Libranos were so ostentatious in their contempt for freedom that even some from the MSM gagged.

  1. CTV always has an US Political scientist on who is an idiot, but they never follow up or understand what he says.. Tonight he said that non-citizens are mainly Democrats & their VOTE will be suppressed… He doesn’t know that non-citizens can’t legally vote, or he has admitted to Democrat voter fraud… He must be stoked

    1. ss, the stupid is strong out there. having read about the average drop in IQ it comes as no surprise. people who desire that which will reduce their freedom are really losers of the first order.

    1. There’s a more likely story making the rounds. Acosta says he was told to lay off cuz Epstein was working for intelligence service.
      Whose? More Russian meddling?
Expect another BS cover-up a la 911 inquiry and Mueller report. Guaranteed BJ Clinton won’t be getting an honourary mention.

      1. Mossad. His girlfriend Maxwell is the daughter of Robert Maxwell — major spy for Mossad.

  2. Old joke.

What do you call a half dozen Liberal MPs, wearing cement shoes, at the bottom of Lake Ontario?

    A start!

    1. And yet try to find an apprenticeship to be an electrician. Nobody’s hiring, nobody’s looking.
I suppose it’s probably somewhat of a localized issue (Ottawa), and might be different
      in other locales….

      1. That is more of a curiosity of minimum wages for each stage of apprenticeship vs. what they are allowed to do. At least that is the case locally.

Virtually every trade has a block in the wage/responsibility pairing where it is impossible for an apprentice to be productive enough to cover their wages unless they get on with a company that has very large projects where they can always have a journeyman with them, or they work for daddy until they get their hours in. The companies with the large projects are usually fully staffed anyway.

      2. oooooooh lordy tell me about it.
        I had the following:
        -1st year documented already
-4 yrs as an assistant doing everything from multi station alarms to 600V 3 phase.
-all my own tools, transportation, availability
        -NEVER showed up stoned etc.
-strong legs for lifting those coils up flights of stairs,
-enough experience with electronics to know relevant stuff
        – exceptional tolerance for working outside in the cold, a trick I used was to put a bunch of vinyl gloves on and stick the fingertips out of my gloves.
-always always always figuring out ways to work efficiently, first on the job to use the trick of locating rebar with a friggin stud finder so as to not waste 2 hours and dull the bit cutting holes for conduit.
-EVERY TIME anything I did was inspected it passed first time without exception.

        etc et blood CETERA.
EVERY major accomplishment in my life, incl learning how to swim, getting TWO bachelors degrees, buying a house at 27 yrs age,
on and on and on was because I found out HOW to do so and then DID the work.
but an appretiSHYT was not to be had because it depended on some miserable cigar chomping gut complaining about how much it ‘cost’ to train me.

so screw ’em hard and long and more of the same. bastards.

      3. I agree. Very hard to get apprentiships. I think an earlier Conservative government under Hudak hoped to address that, but he did not get elected. I believe the problem is the Unions who keep tight control over who gets in.

  3. People in Alberta get to worship our Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau for the next couple of days. Yes feminist Trudeau is burning jet fuel again at taxpayer expense on his new Doug Ford is Hitler tour. He meets with carefully selected pipeline workers in Edmonton. We can assume he won’t be bringing his new Greenpeace, anti-pipeline candidate with him. We can also assume none of his loyal media will ask him about it. He then burns jet fuel to the Calgary Stampede to pretend he cares about Alberta.

  4. I hope Albertan’s give trudope the welcome he deserves when he shows up at the stampede .

  5. Everyone held accountable or no one is. Let’s put it all out there in one easily accessible source. It’s amazing there are as people on the planet as there is.

    https://www.thoughtco.com/facts-about-the-spanish-conquistadors-2136511

“In Mexico, Hernan Cortes and Pedro de Alvarado ordered the Cholula Massacre and the Temple Massacre respectively, killing thousands of unarmed men, women, and children.”

Cortes, wouldn’t it be funny if AOC was descendant from conquistadors. Different spelling I know but that would be really funny.

    1. Good point.

The conquistadors were the finest of the psychopaths the mother country had to offer. They took native princesses for wives and raped the rest wantonly. They destroyed the existing social structures. Lat Am countries to this day have a class system based on ethnicity with privileges accorded per ones position in the class structure. The rot and corruption in the Lat Am countries can be traced to the culture imported from the mother country and the genetic prevalence of psychopathy among the ruling classes.

The brownie SJWs a la AOC (Mestizos) want to target whitey and blame him him for the ills of colonialism. They can’t see themselves as being of a class who still subjugate the indigenous to this day. And so we have hordes of indigenous trying to flee sH*thole countries the likes of AOC are responsible for making. e.g. https://www.smalldeadanimals.com/index.php/2019/07/10/tropical-storm-corruption/

      1. We gotta’ be historically fair – so did everybody else back then. And the church, which ran EVERYTHING and burned-at-the-stake those who tithed less-than-enthusiastically, was fine with it – convert heathens or eradicate them – and that was all that mattered. Look-up ‘selling indulgences’; you could buy an indulgence for murdering a stranger you hadn’t even met yet, and the conquistadors came-back quite rich enough to buy-off any sins the church might drag-out of them in the confession booth.

As Mark Twain put it, it does seem a shame sometimes that Noah & party didn’t miss the boat…

        1. There’s nothing fair about how the progressives play at identity politics.
We can keep defending or we can start playing by their rules and take the game to them,
e.g Rabid front holer Megan Rapinoe Taken Down a Few Notches.

    2. What would be really funny is the possibility that a DNA test might reveal that the conquistadors had a great deal of Muslim ancestry. Five Hundred years of Muslim dominance on the Iberian peninsula must have left a mark in the culture that dominated the Spanish/Portuguese section of the New World. That might explain the barbarity that happened in the southern districts of the New World, it might also explain the slavery traffic that infected the culture that became the southern States. But hey! we don’t want to go there because that’d be racist!

  6. Two horses dead in the chuck wagon races. Shameful the yahoos are allowed to keep doing this or even have an audience to watch the cruelty.

    1. If it wasn’t for the “Chucks”, Frenchy would have eaten that horse years before

    2. Yes it’s dispicable.

Better that the horses be canned after their career as a race horse.

      1. How many calves are injured and terrorized in calf roping? It’s beyond my sensibilities to imagine even watching such cruelty.

        1. The point of chuckwagon races is not cruelty. It is which team can run the fastest. Are we to quit every activity when unexpected results happen? Besides, horses love running. Are you in a your safe space? 2,000 people die, in Canada, from car accidents every year. Whine about that.

          1. “unexpected results”
mmmmm, ya, but after a while it kinda IS expected.
people dying in car crashes for the most part CHOOSE to get in said car.
Im not the country type, never been to the Stampede, but I do believe there is room for improvemnets to reduce odds of this happening.
and no, I dont mean some goofy thing like diapers on the horses.
            ?
wass diapers got to do with horse racing?
            EXACTLY.

        2. Calf roping done properly doesn’t injure the calf. Ranchers don’t deliberately hurt their animals. Neither do rodeo ropers.

There is a technique involved where the cowboy ‘flips’ his rope that creates a soft catch. Failure to do so gets you disqualified. The calf gets up and runs off.

          1. If you were being sarcastic about canning the horses, and I missed it, then please disregard my remark.

          2. Calf roping happens everyday around the world on cattle farms, just part of the job. So what if they show off their skills once in a while.

      2. What a load of crap from the Conibear Kid. Pretty sure the horses would choose racing, well into their teens, over a visit to Perkytown.

  7. Liz, I will give odds that you are pro abortion. Animal rights people seem to have to balance their concerns. Maybe the abortion procedure should be broadcast nightly so people could find that there is a hundred percent death rate involved.

      1. Why do people get all uppity about the Calgary Stampede. Yes, it is sad when an animal dies, but everything dies.
The most laughable is the “stampede must be banned”, and “Albertans must change their ways” crowd.
In our day and age, we cannot do either, if fact, our Prime Minister endorses the stampede.
        We call it D-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y.
Diversity either includes Western Canadian diversity, including Alberta, or it remains the political claptrap that it started out as.
If another race of people started it, mandatory participation would be required.

        1. I am looking forward to the day when the Stampede becomes a national celebration in the Dominion of West Canada.

    1. Max wont care he will get them built and do you realize how many Quebecers have worked in Western Canada oil patch, lots.

Did the NDP when in power give what Albertans wanted?

      No

So just because the Quebec governments don t want pipelines doesn’t mean the people dont.

Quebecers remember: Massive explosion after train derails in Lac-Megantic

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzfhrQZI8QI

        1. No that would be the LibCons Diary Queen Scheer.

You have proven you dont like Quebec but should I have hated all Albertans when the NDP were in power.

Two wrongs dont make a right Joe.

Max is the only leader how has the balls to do what he says.

All we have to do is give him the opportunity to do it.

Scaredy-cat Scheer has already shown us he is a globalist who will carbon tax us.

          1. Angel, Quebec receives a lot of money from Albertans. All we hear from Quebec is “keep sending money”.

Quebec has had more corruption inquiries than any other province.

Max won’t end equalization. He says it will be renegotiated. Yah, we’ve heard that before. Every time results in more money going to Quebec.

Max should be trumpeting oil and gas development in Quebec. Quebec has both oil and natural gas deposits. And it should be front and centre in the PPC platform. However, nothing is there.

        1. And then he’ll built a road to Japan

Your confusing Diary Queen and Trudope.

          Max wouldn’t do that

Well Scheer did build one thing for sure.

He turned the Conservative Party into Liberal Party #2 Too!

          Yep

    2. There should be no social acceptance in Canada for that hillbilly French K-becers speak. Le le. WTF is that shit?

    3. I am a bit surprised by Quebec’s position on this. Are they stupid? Typically Quebeqers favour positions where they have some clear financial advantage. This is not one. They need to do a rethink. A champion in the Province could help. Max?

  8. Things you won’t see on the CBC: Ezra calls out Pakistani Foreign Minister at Free Speech conference.

To every yellow journalist and politician in the Country – here’s what guts, balls and honesty looks like:

    https://youtu.be/hw55FBbifAY

    1. BRAVO, Ezra!
The haughty Pakistani Foreign Minister couldn’t handle the truth! It’s amazing to see our Ezra in action. This was like a scene out of “A Few Good Men!”

    1. There are names for people who think that you can tax the climate into submission. The kindest one would be idiot.

This game-changing technology invented by an Alberta entrepreneur could solve many of our environmental problems.

Note to Trudeau: This is way more efficient than your plastic ban and carbon tax.

Note to Scheer: This entrepreneur did not need your green subsidies.

  10. To my surprise, on the second day of the Defend Media Freedom Conference in London, UK, I was invited to be part of a panel of young journalists!

I’m really not that young anymore, but I was happy to participate.
That said, I didn’t sense that the younger reporters were as dedicated to free speech as I am…

Liberals and Conservatives have proven themselves inept.

Crushing debt, vote pandering, corruption and entitlement are the norm.

Both parties expect your vote because ‘they aren’t the other guy’.

    Not good enough.

    Not anymore.

In 2019, you can vote to put Canada first. #PPC2019

Cosh: “The first question that should greet any appeal for a National Something Strategy:

how is this crap the business of a federal government at all?”

    It’s not.

Unless you want a bigger, more centralized gov in Ottawa like NDP, Libs, Cons, and Greens.

Colby Cosh: Why all these ‘national strategies’ in our supposed federation?

Hey, guys, Jagmeet Singh has found the signature policy that is going to blast the New Democrats into power. You won’t believe this, but it’s a “national strategy” for something. That something is cycling, which as we all know is the single most heroic and socially improving habit a human can adopt, with the possible exception of donating blood to injured cyclists.

  13. Trudeau’s loyal media is reporting that Justin is having a great time in Alberta. Hell why not, taxpayers are paying for it. Yes as part of his Ford is Hitler campaign tour, he was sitting with carefully selected pipeline workers along with his Edmonton area MPs. He had his sleeves rolled up and his hair slightly ruffled for the ladies. He is so cool and wonderful. He explained to journalists that there is no threat to unity in Alberta. Next stop the Calgary Stampede.

  14. Rex Murphy at the National Post website has a funny take on the census issue in the States. Conrad Black also has an interesting story.

    1. Cape Breton has a university?

I’ve been to CB. Zero economy.

It’s hilarious that a ‘prof’ would demand moose meat. That’s a first. Hell that’s what the neighbours want out here at the trap shack! ha.

Never heard of a professor asking for sex……think it could be true? Naw

      1. Well, at least he didn’t ask her to buy booze as she probably would have been underage.

  15. Bongo’s in AB….

Said he want’s cooperation from the premiers so they (the libranos) can make investments in the Province.

We’d like him to get the hell out of the way and we’ll find our own investment money.

  16. A photo of a Canadian sailor found on social media apparently triggered a member of Generation Snowflake.
