Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Trump The Establishment
Meanwhile in the (formerly) Great Britain, Tommy Robinson was sentenced for additional 66 days in prison for committing journalism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w6LdNh7MKw&t=0s The contrast could not be more striking. Trump should offer him political asylum.
And publisher Julian Assange is also a political prisoner
Nah. He’s a self-inflicted wound.
Shoulda gone back to Sweden and faced the music for his sexual peccadilloes.
He’d be a free man now.
That’s a big leap.
So you pick up a woman, get invited back to her place, have sex, sleep, wake up the next morning and have a second round.
Then, months later, she decides that she never said yes to the second round and calls the cops, who are just looking for an excuse to get him back to Sweden.
Yes, totally believable. But he is as good as dead because “we always have to believe the woman”.
OTOH … Assange is such a creepy weirdo … I cannot imagine any woman voluntarily having sex with him.
No. Assange is a political prisoner and he did not bring this on himself– apart from offending TPTB over Wikileaks discoveries. The whole Sweden thing was trumped up. Going back to Sweden for the phoney case was not going to clear the air. His rights have been seriously violated.
He provided aid and comfort to the enemy and should be hanged by the neck until dead. End of story. FETE.
No liberal could even imagine this point of view — I am actually concerned that Donald Trump has not done enough. He is obviously better than the alternatives (at least those who were available to voters in 2016). But do we really think he has done enough? The actual amount of pushback that is required now is perhaps too great to comprehend fully. And what I fear is that after Trump has come and gone, and the globalists get back into power, they will be able to see very clearly where their opposition lies and they will move to neutralize it for good. Or they may just decide to let nature take its course. Most of Trump’s support probably comes from people nearing or in retirement age. Wish it were not true, but I have to say that unless he gets cracking on certain matters, it might be better to search for somebody who is more willing to take the actions required.
Or we can all wait around and see what happens after 2024. I think it’s fairly obvious what will happen, one weakness in the Trump “movement” is that it has no citizen participation other than people showing up at rallies to cheer. Trump may be a swell guy but when he’s gone, then what?
I hold a number of things against him – wonder if he cares? – first among which is, he had two years in which he had majorities in Congress and the Senate, in which to build his wall – and he didn’t. It must’ve been obvious that, after those two years were up, he’d lose Congress – they were Repub majority because of opposition to Obama, so with Obama gone, they’d likely revert.
Another one I hold against him is going to collapse the ‘States eventually if something is not done about it; Obamacare is being carried-out in such a corrupt and underhanded way that turning-loose the auditors of war would drop costs by a bit less than half, almost overnight – and that’s applying black-letter anti-trust law that’s been on the books for ~100 years.
Still better than Hitlery…
Yes, because Trump had the support of the Senate while McStain was still breathing. Best laugh I’ll have today.
He didn’t really have the support of the House, either. Ryan was a spineless weasel of a Speaker and was no ally of Trump.
You also have to understand that most Congressional Republicans are bought & paid for by big business, who loooooove illegal immigrants. All that cheap labour to exploit & abuse. Big business also looooove trading with China. No pesky environmental standards or safety laws and lots of cheap labour to exploit & abuse. There are lots of big-money forces out there who hate Trump’s guts for what he’s dared to do.
You beat me to it. Paul Ryan is still attacking President Trump (to sell his book.)
The Republicans had control of both houses. President Trump did not. Realizing how deep the swamp is, I wonder that he has done as much as he has.
You take your allies when and where you can find them. McConnell is cool with strict constructionists nominated to the Supreme Court. Linsay Graham (!) wants to defend Republican nominees. But Paul Ryan represented Big Business, and had no interest in building the wall. Many other Republican representatives felt the same way, but didn’t need to say anything as long as they had Ryan.
The Koch brothers demonstrated the truth of what you said about big business. W was the kind of Republicans they want. But when faced with the reality of Trump, they opted for the Democratic party, as much as it is holding on over the left chasm.
“And what I fear is that after Trump has come and gone, and the globalists get back into power, they will be able to see very clearly where their opposition lies and they will move to neutralize it for good.”
Exactly. They will move to neutralize it for good.
Much like what has happened in Canada after Trudeau defeated Harper. Trudeau is doing his best to destroy the western Canadian economy so that no conservative power base threat ever arises again to threaten the Laurentian Elite stranglehold on Canada.
Darrel Bricker and John Ibbitson were wrong when they wrote “The Big Shift” in which they suggested the country’s power base had shifted to the west. They didn’t count on the deep seated strength of the Deep State coalition.
Trumps executive order on citizenship is right on.. The IRS has testified that they know who are Citizens & who are non-citizens…..That was before they collected the Obama Care & Medicaid that identified everyone… The Border problem also has a nice benefit.. The DNA swabbing to determine the children’s parentage provides positive Identification that can be used to trace them ALL once they are in the USA… The ER hospital logs are also ripe…. The Courts F@@ked up because all that information will now be collected and available….
Trump’s EO is 1000x more effective than a question on the census. Yet the FAKE media are unanimously reporting that Trump lost. Trump was humiliated. Yadda yadda yadda … The American people (American citizens) know better.
Reminds me of that equally hilarious video they made for when he met Kim Jong-Un.
Peter O’Donnell, the Democrats are capable of anything, but I don’t see brilliant minds in their party such as the Candace Owens/Charlie Kirk ETHICAL duo.
Did you see the brave Brian Karem call out Seb Gorka? /s

Trump is looking more and more like Caesar flanked by Brutus and Cassius … I hope he has some close up support.
Trump had much to do in his first two years … he also had to learn the ropes while being attacked from all sides all day long.
Cut him some slack. Ryan was working against him and that is why he couldn’t get some stuff done. Ryan was the grotesque asshole of the GOP. I think he probably still is poison from whatever perch his may be upon at this time.
duke, with a thousand issues, or more, some in here think they know which should have been first. I love when know nothings criticize people’s job performance, whe they themselves could even start the job, much less accomplish anything.
Trump reads people very well and treats them accordingly. He has rendered his opposition stark raving mad, left them nothing more than blubbering fools. We need a Trump right here in Canada. Max may be closest but we are taking a big gamble to vote for him if we are to defeat the mess we have.
Hardly. Trump won election, Bernier has no chance except to get Trudeau re-elected. Opposites in reality and effect.
I agree Bernier has no chance, Conservatives who vote for him will benefit Trudeau and company.
About 3 years ago, during the primaries, I wrote here that Trump had no chance; that choosing him as the GOP candidate was handing the election to Hillary.
Gawd, I am so glad I was wrong! Maybe the “conventional wisdom” is wrong about Max as well.
In the End Liz….it doesn’t matter anymore who gets in to be PM, without exception they will bend the knee to said Laurentien elites and kiss kebecs ass – as its been since Pierre singlehandedly set this Leftist Commie Filth in Motion.
We need to move on, create our own country.
NOTHING LESS.
..and to that end, I am voting for the best policy book out there; The one written by MAX. It’ll be the first time in my life that I’m not voting AGAINST anyone, rather, I’m voting for someone.
Should PM dipshit retain his throne…all the better to move Alberta and Saskatchewan to Sovereignty.
Exactly. Ryan is a prime example of the Deep State operative.
President Trump doing all he can to protect free speech. Trudeau & the extreme left are doing all they can to censor free speech.
Say what you will about the guy, but he sure doesn’t read from cue cards well.
So no nationalizations, no Silicon Valley godfathers being frogmarched out of their palaces at dawn by armed men, no panicked FAG stock speculators.
So no action likely to do a damned bit of good.
No wonder the MSM mostly ignored this in favour of pearl-clutching over Trump asking politely for citizenship data, data he should not have to beg for.
But the President is in the persuasion and education phase on this issue; he is the only national voice talking about it. Once more people see the problem, more can be done. The Congress has always been a slow-moving branch. As President Reagan said, they must feel the heat to see the light.
Look at how he has moved Congress- including Democrats -on issues such as China, immigration, Iran that both parties avoided under Obama. Action on all of them required him speaking over the naysayers to produce the pressure on Congress. Kavanaugh would never have been seated without Trump leading the way.

Thanks. That’s a very satisfying story. The cops and DA aren’t going to do shit. The father, with the help of the public, got to beat the shit out of the POS. And the POS is dead. Awesome.
Ikr, the last think going though his head was steel toed boot. 24 prior arrest and convictions. Well deserved.
