Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors

Imagine, if you can, becoming the GLOBAL EDITOR IN CHIEF of Business Insider (and INSIDER, a venture I still couldn’t define for you) without knowing one of the most basic facts about how American government works.

  1. In this brave new world the chaff is elevated and celebrated.
Is there an emptier husk than PM Turnip?

    1. Yes, there are emptier husks than PM Turnip: Bill de Blasio, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Barack Hussein Obama II, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

But what unites them all? The greed for ENORMOUS power, wealth, and control at world-wide scale.

That’s what the Climate Change Ideology is all about – power, wealth, and control at a global scale – and that’s why AOC is pushing this “Green New Deal”.

All those people and others like them are simply licking their chops like Dracula.

  2. Actually if this new editor of Business Insider gave a rat’s behind about how the U.S. government works, I’d be surprised.

The whole point of their world-view is that THEY DON’T CARE. They don’t care one iota.

Big power, wealth, and control – HUGE amounts – are to be had when governance is had at a global level.

You think Washington, DC, is a vast concentration of power, wealth, and control? Just wait until you see it on a global scale. You can get an understanding of it by looking at the European Union.

People with a globalist mind-set are just licking their chops.

And they will NOT have anyone get in their way.

Alexander the Great and a certain Bohemian corporal would be proud.

  3. Nicholas Carlson is right about Representatives being in perpetual campaign mode, though.
It makes them easy targets for lobbyists because they don’t have any time to understand the real issues.

    1. House members should be selected by random lottery. The total tonnage of corruption that would immediately evaporate would be immeasurable.

There should also be a ban on lawyers serving in the house or senate. Lawyers making law is the ultimate conflict of interest.

      1. The total tonnage of corruption would immediately switch focus to fixing the lottery. (If it would be harder to fix the lottery results than to scam the voters, the return on investment in corruption would be reduced. If that were the case, the lottery would be better.)

  4. The USA seems to be in constant campaign mode and the media loves it,gives them something to report on 24/7/365.

Now, not wishing to expose my ignorance of the Canadian system, how often are our Senate elections and why do I never see them advertised by anyone? I have been voting since 1968 but have never caught a senatorial election and feel properly guilty about my failure to do my duty as a good Canadian citizen.

Maybe we should just wire everyone up to a Elections Canader website and vote for MP’s and Senators once a year, with no expensive campaigns at all, no lobbying by interest groups, just a statement by each candidate on who he/she is, qualifications and where he’s situated in the political realm, and if he/she is a phony, after a year we can rid ourselves of the s/dob.

Btw, I wonder of Trudeau would get more votes this October if he grew a beard, probably do wonder in attracting the Left vote.

    1. Elections to the Senate of Canada are held at irregular intervals. There is only one voter in each, the Prime Minister of the day, and they usually don’t miss them. (It is much to be regretted that Prime Minister Harper declined to participate in so many of them, and even more to be regretted that his successor didn’t follow his example.)

  5. In addition to his total unfamiliarity with Article One of the U. S. Constitution, perhaps the fact that Mr. Carlson cannot distinguish between the possessive adjective _their_ and the contraction _they’re_ indicates a general deficit in (what used to be) a fundamental American elementary school education.

    1. sort of, when they can get all the illegals out to vote, and make sure the voting machines have been properly set.

  6. And he’s still ahead of Trump.

He’s right though: the US has way too many election way too frequently for too many positions.
