    In America, the MSM openly encourages hatred and violence against Trump and his supporters then they falsely and consistently whine that THEY are the ones who are poor, dear, innocent little victims of partisan threats. A stunning level of hypocrisy, transference and denial… even for them. To that end, does anyone else here remember how the excitable Acosta’s life was in jeopardy at a Trump rally from a little old lady? Ha, then shortly afterwards, he and CNN go on to aggressively incite hatred against some innocent schoolchildren. They are f**king shameless.

    The legacy media is absolutely packed with partisan liars AND cowards. No wonder even a healthy percentage of liberals now find these MSM lowlifes despicable and untrustworthy.

    1. I am happy to hear that liberals of your acquaintance are waking up. I wish I could say the same. With two exceptions, liberals of my acquaintance are desperate to avoid the truth and will engage in spectacular rhetorical gymnastics to deny obvious facts. They simply scoff at any suggestion that the CBC might engage in deceptive practices or fail to report important events.
      But then I live on the left coast.

Boy, I wish I could claim that ‘liberals of my acquaintance are waking up’, but I was referring mainly to the numerous American polls where they claim many on the left no longer trust the legacy media, either. After two-plus years of their non-stop Russia Conspiracy hoaxing, ratings clearly show that some of the least dense liberals have figured out that they were used, abused and put away wet by the immense Dem propaganda machine.

        As for the leftards I know, I just throw the many PROVEN cases of media fraud out there and make THEM defend the media. ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’, the Covington teens, Trump ‘calling all immigrants animals’ are all easily provable media frauds, just for starters. My personal favorite is the clearly debunked ‘Trump made fun of a crippled journalist’ hoax.

        BTW, I moved from the left coast about 5 years ago and settled a bit further inland. Best decision I ever made for both my ‘quality of life’ and sanity. There are leftards here too, but nowhere near the overwhelming numbers you are dealing with a couple hundred kms west.

        Keep up the good fight, DLM, because we surely cannot rely on BC’s conservative politicians to do a damn thing to right this ship.

The academics report that they had been expecting to measure a rise in racist opinions, writing: ‘The normalization of prejudice or opinion leadership both lead us to expect that expressed prejudice may have increased in this period, especially among Republicans or Trump supporters’. They had been led to expect this, they say, through an extensive reading of recent literature in social sciences which, they say, supports the notion that racist attitudes lie dormant inside many people, waiting to be triggered by certain events – of which the election of Donald Trump might be one. There could, after all, hardly be anything more calculated to awaken an incipient racist than the president calling Mexicans a bunch of rapists.”

    Yet the study found exactly the opposite. Americans, claim Hopkins and Washington, have actually become less inclined to express racist opinions since Donald Trump was elected. Anti-black prejudice, they found, declined by a statistically-insignificant degree between 2012 and 2016, when Trump was elected. But then after 2016 it took a sharp dive that was statistically significant. Moreover, contrary to their expectations, the fall was as evident among Republican voters as it was among Democrats. There was also a general fall in anti-Hispanic prejudice, too, although this was more evident among Democrat voters.”

I may be too much of an alarmist, but I see Britain and eventually other European states descending into the violence that occurred in Germany in the 1930s when the Spartacist League (communist) and various nationalist groups fought in the streets. We know that the Nazi organization, also with socialist worker roots but with a strong nationalistic element, eventually amalgamated all the various right wing groups under their banner and defeated their communist opponents.

    It is even possible that the US will descend into the same sort of street violence with the end result being a split in the country such as Kurt Schlichter writes about in his novel, “People’s Republic”.

    2. I too see in the not to distant future a great deal of blood spilled in Britain. This has been their history with every great migration/invasion be it Celts, Romans, Saxons, Vikings and Germans. This when the overall market has done really well. Kicker… just about every McClatchy paper has a business section. Heh!

  15. I have mentioned this elsewhere and has been constantly on my mind thinking of the media driven horrors of Rwanda. It is not just political violence it is all kinds of violence and disregard for any law or decency, take what you want because racism, white supremacy etc etc blah blah. It does not matter that any particular media is losing money. Making money is not the goal. Tearing down western civilization is the goal. Leveling the playing field to the absolute lowest common denominator. There can be no more reaching across the aisle for compromise. There has to be the most serious consequences for the media and the Democrats and the traitorous Republicans. Get on the Trump Train or get washed away. I believe Trump knows full well the consequences of not going for the “kill”.

    For instance, does failing to condemn certain incidents of political violence equal encouragement? And what is a non-Leftist?
    Is it that silence is now to be taken as encouragement and does any apolitical individual of an apolitical affiliation qualify as a non-Leftist, and if so, what examples of targeted violence against these Trappist Buddhist monks do we have to consider when we adjudicate the above query?
    Interested people may want to know…

    Perhaps, just perhaps, the question is too mealy mouthed and the asker should grow some cojones and just state that it’s time
    to pull triggers instead of pulling puds.

Statism which has two main variants, socialism and fascism, is premised on the notion that the state is supreme and any residual sovereignty in the individual exists only at the pleasure of the state. This means that coercion and terror is not only acceptable but essential to enforce the inherent slavery and hierarchy in such societies. Statists naturally encourage freelance looting and thuggery as long as it is directed at the enemies of the state. Whether it is union mobs, paid green activists, Venezuelan motorcycle gangs or the seventh century retrogrades imported to feast off the carcass of western civilization, the left is on their side and that includes the vast majority of the media.

  19. Huge difference between left-wing and right-wing media. If the former have a headline that is a question the answer is nearly always “no”. If the latter do the same, the answer is usually “yes”.

    It’s all about honesty. When you are right (pun intended) then honesty helps. When you are wrong, dishonesty helps.
