His fate offers a perfect case study in the art of modern character assassination. Except that in this instance, it unravelled and the whole nature of the trick can now be exposed. The first stage is a verbal attack on what they said or did.

Trump never held himself out as a conservative. He was always a NY liberal. He now seems to be more conservative but I would think that is more related to his age. He’s seen it all. Heard all the bullshit and has no aspiration to a political career so he calls it as he sees it. Nothing more dangerous than an old guy with nothing to lose.
I know lots of conservative men and women – you probably do to. They may not be conservatives in the political sense but they’ve got a set and when push comes to shove they’ve got your back.

Sadly today, the “out of context” defence has been somewhat neutralized by lefties who use it to insist that they didn’t say something which they clearly did say, and without exculpatory contextual qualifiers fore or aft.
“Out of context” for many, then, has become as laughable as “spend more time with my family”.
That said, Sir Roger needs, not self-censorship, but to be more street smart; to be careful about the use of words like ‘tribes’and ‘invasions’. He needs to realize what the purpose of a liberal interviewer will be and to speak accordingly and not provide easy fodder for the assasins. Oh, and not talk about jooos in the collective sense.
Better yet, study the background of the interviewer and usually just not do the interview.
