      2. Also needed is a mandatory review cycle and sunset clause for every piece of legislation unless a demonstrable need is shown to retain the legislation for another cycle. Every tax would be dedicated for the intended purpose it created. No taxes would go into general revenues to be sprinkled into the wind. Term limits (a couple terms) would apply to each and every politician so that they can serve people and not themselves. Some form of term limits (maybe four to ensure continuity of smooth administrative service to tax payers) needs to be applied to keep civil servants from being career bureaucrats. Bureaucrats would be prohibited from politicking. Only citizens with ID can vote. Earn and qualify for citizenship then you get to vote. Require immigrants to learn English and French. (Oh yeah privatize the CBC.)

  9. First principle: aside from honing the military skills of Western nations, Islam contributed nothing to the development of the West. Its values are perfectly opposed to personal freedoms and liberties.
    So why is it being imported? It contributes to the crises needed to curtail freedoms and liberties of the masses. This is the impetus of the ruling elite, even those who give (much) lip service to freedom.
    Consider the solutions offered by rulers to absolutely every crisis: 1) tax the producers; 2) curtail liberties, especially those of the producers. Enslave all.
    Islam will increase domestic terrorism and violence and so the call will go up for more state control of things. Even conservatives can get caught up in this without seeing how the game is played. The state wants absolute power, and it is often handed over without a fight.
    Climate change, Islamophobia, Homophobia, Transphobia–they are all manufactured crises to this end. The real question is, will you (in general) be their useful idiots?

There are many who will not run in the next election… not one of those gutless weasels have said boo about what is transpiring in Ottawa and within their own party.

    I honestly think a case could be made that we are seeing a transformation here of the Liberals into a Defacto NAZI party of Canada….their attitudes, actions & methodology are strikingly similar to the National Socialists Post 1930 Germany.

      Replace a leader of a majority government that is mired in scandal and while there appears to be a public mood to see them turfed. Yet in spite of this the governing party persists in the belief that they will win the next soon to be called election with a new female leader.
      Where did I see this story before?
      Can’t be, in the scenario I recall the PC party of the day actually got two majorities under its belt before they got pummeled under Kim Campbell.
      But this could be a precedent.

        This is all conjecture, of course; and you are right, she may be another Campbell, but the media has only reluctantly covered a fraction of what they could be focusing on with Shiny Pony, and I really do believe that if they tout Freeland as the “New Savior” of progressivism, she will win.
        I mean, the MSM wants to have an excuse to persuade people to vote Liberal/left, and this could give them that.
        And they are deliberate….look at the Alberta election. No sooner was the writ dropped than all sorts of stories surfaced about Jason Kenney. Whether those stories have any basis or not is not the only point….. the main point to me is that the MSM sat on those stories for what, 2 years??? And then released them once the election was called.
        Deliberate actions chosen to sway an election.
        They will do the same federally.

      2. Kim Campbell became Prime Minister after lyin’ Brian Mulroney’s resignation; he was at 9% popularity and plummeting, despite being Prime Minister with a majority government. Dim Kim was seen as the saviour of Canada, not just the Conservatives, and stood at 49% popularity – so popular that long-time, seasoned Conservatives didn’t bother running against her for Party leadership. That lasted until she became Prime Minister and proved “unable” to turn-back all the disastrous Mulroney policies that made him skunk-at-a-garden-party-unpopular – notably the GST – and showed herself to be a bubblehead in all other matters. In the ensuing national election, the Conservatives returned two seats.
