March 20, 2019: Reader Tips

Editor’s note: Your tips and comments are welcome, but I’m going to crack down on the page long cut and pastes. If you want to link to an article, link to it. A line or two of quoting is sufficient, otherwise your comment may get deleted.

  1. Good one Kate and please use the same handle at the top of all your comments.
When did long stupid comments become your name?

    1. Yes, thank you for highlighting this and taking a stand, Kate. Totally inconsiderate practice to do on someone else’s blog.

nold, you mention another annoying habit these same people/person seem to deploy. If you want to be a regular poster here, it seems only fair to the rest of us to stick to one name. And addressing one of your own posts under an even different handle seems as disingenuous as hell, to me.

      1. “it seems only fair to the rest of us to stick to one name”
Using a variety of names is annoying and distracts from the thread, but that’s the aim right.
Kate has been very patient but just try that guff at WUWT for example and see how far it takes you.

        1. ” try that guff at WUWT for example and see how far it takes you”

How would you know that? You just gave yourself away.

          1. Because those of us who are long-time readers of both will recognize that Anthony has deliberately called people out for doing that, and has had to use IP tracking to ban some of the worst offenders who would not follow his house rules.

And the sesquipedalian nameless one might want to keep in mind that this is Kate’s house. Very nice of her to let us in and keep the fire stoked for us. Mind your manners, and leave dirty boots at the door.

          2. The word sesquipedalian is likely a couple of pay grades above the comprehension skills of our resident ass clown.

    2. Kate, I agree with your comment, and nold’s idea of continuing your comment for awhile moving forward.

  2. Yay picture of mental health:

“One time, according to a friend, Beto collected an especially verdant turd from one of their kids’ diapers and put it in a bowl, telling Amy it was avocado. (Neither would confirm this, though Beto did allow it sounded like something he’d do.)”

“In January, Beto hit the road, much as his father had done before him, and drew energy from the people he met, and — on one stop in New Mexico he didn’t write about in his blog — by eating New Mexican dirt said to have regenerative powers. (He brought some home for the family to eat, too.)”

    1. Larry. Thank you for this link.

My psyche is more or less post-anger at this point.
Or at least I thought it was. After viewing this I have a renewed white-hot hatred of the CBC and am embarrassed for my cynical defeatist comments concerning calls for shuttering this evil government entity.

    Turkey: Putin’s Ally In NATO?

    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-03-19/turkey-putins-ally-nato

    Excerpts;

On March 7, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey would never turn back from the S-400 missile deal with Russia. He even added that Ankara may subsequently look into buying the more advanced S-500 systems now under construction in Russia.

The S-400 is an advanced air defense architecture, especially if it is utilized against Western (NATO) aerial assets and firepower. It is an elementary military software fact that Turkey cannot use this system against Russian aggression or Russian-made weapons. With the S-400 deal, Turkey is simply telling its theoretical Western allies that it views “them,” and “not Russia,” as a security threat. Given that Russia is widely considered a security threat to NATO, Turkey’s odd-one-out position inevitably calls for questioning its official NATO identity.

Turkey has NATO’s second biggest army, and its military love affair with Russia may be in its infancy now, but it undermines NATO’s military deterrence against Russia.

      1. … and civilization.

So he gets new toys from Pootin but will not be able to shot down more russian planes like the one few years ago that made the Pootin fans on SDA throw a memorable tantrum. Oh my what a tangled mess we have.

    1. Ok did these three pilots report this problem and to whom?

How did the third pilot acquire the knowledge of how to turn that system off?

I hope the investigation answers these questions.

      1. “How did the third pilot acquire the knowledge”

I imagine he was the only one who actually read the flight instructions for the new aircraft. It is interesting how both aircraft that crashed were from shithole countries with English a second or third language. The instructions for the new model only involved something like 30 minutes. If the pilots read the instructions I’m guessing they didn’t understand the significance. Early reports said the Ethiopian aircraft was spewing luggage. That narrative is obviously done with.

Not much about where that next attack was to be but a lot about the return of the victims bodies to families for burial.

“They’re offering nothing, they’re saying, ‘We’re doing our procedures and process.’ Why do I not know what you’re doing to identify the bodies?” Safi told CNN.
“They know that our Islam is about patience. They’re testing our patience right now,” Safi said.

  5. And now the CBC this morning. No more stories on the Lavalin scandal. The network obeys Prince Justin’s orders to drop the subject. Major story that Kenny and the UCP are racist bastards and corrupt. Wonderful shot of Comrade Notley smiling to supporters. She is so wonderful! More New Zealand shooting stories. No word about the shooting in Holland. Trudeau’s budget is wonderful, Trudeau is wonderful.

    1. True. Getting rid of the electoral college would be complete folly. It would spell the end of democracy in the US. There would be zero concern about issues in the vast swath of middle America. Also, when the majority of votes are concentrated in a couple of regions, it really simplifies rigging the elections. I believe that is what the Communist Dems have in mind.

      1. Madison at the Constitutional Convention

// The question of how the president should be elected was a hotly contested issue at the Philadelphia Convention in 1787. Numerous systems were proposed and discarded before a final decision was reached. The fault lines in the debate lay between two cross-cutting divisions among the states at the Convention: one between large and small states, and one between slave-owning and free states.
It was this latter split that ended up being most salient in the Electoral College debate. The College’s primary purpose was not to give small states greater representation, as is often claimed by its defenders today. Instead, the Electoral College was created to reflect the political realities associated with accommodating the institution of slavery into our electoral system. //

    2. Pocahontas wants reparations for blacks. In 1865 2% of whites owned blacks. The roots of more than 50% the population likely immigrated after 1865. Let’s tax 99% of white people on the right side of history and let’s also tax black people who came after 1865 to pay it to black Americans, who if they were a country, would be richer than much of Europe. It would be a grossly stupid wealth transfer encouraging idleness and emigration of capital.

    1. I suspect SNC has procedures for bribery and they follow them religiously.

And the brown paper bags are all of a standard size and made to the highest quality.

    2. Just have to love this line:

“Ethisphere completed a thorough assessment of SNC-Lavalin’s Integrity Program and benchmarked it against its 2018 World’s Most Ethical Companies data set, providing insight into the programs and practices of leading companies around the world. SNC-Lavalin’s performance was specifically evaluated on six main areas: program resources and structure, perceptions of ethical culture, written standards, training and communication, risk assessment, monitoring and auditing, enforcement, discipline and incentives.”

That right there sounds like it was written by a CBC or Tor-Star editor.

I have had to work with companies who had these very programs. The talk of the company culture was marvelous, the reality was that nepotism, disrespect and backdating were the reality. Statistics and numbers can all be manipulated to make a turd into a tenderloin!

  6. According to Macleans the budget includes 55 million dollars to pay for consultations with whiny indians over a two year period regarding the Trans Mountain pipeline. Does this mean no decision will be made on the pipeline for two years? Is that ok with Comrade Notley?

    1. Notley and her party have opposed every new pipeline out of Alberta. She is a master of the delay game.

  7. Liberals are in a mess no amount of money can clean up. Looking at their bench reminds of a rogues gallery.

    1. They are in a mess, but are people angry enough to toss them? I see commentaries and posts that want to equate SNC and Duffy. The only comparison is the level of media attention (over the last several weeks, anyway). Duffy was never even found doing anything wrong, and the issue seemed to hinge on paying money back. If anything, Duffy was evidence of the media happily allowing themselves to be manipulated by the Liberal mafia. Liberals survive time and again because the media will not hold them to account. SNC scandal — what’s that?

      1. Now that the budget has been read and the Liberals found themselves not guilty in any SNC LaveLib Conservative contrived scandal the media will go full steam ahead until October to reelect the Borgia Liberals and their Soros puppet.

        1. Wait patiently for the VAdm Norman storm to hit the Liberal fan. Added bonus: it will be much easier to explain (“PMO obstructing justice and hiding documents from defense”)

  8. I apologize to Kate for being guilty of a long cut and paste. I got carried away on the SNC Lavalin scandal. I only did it once that I recall. Although I have had some long winded posts, like some others here. I only ever use the one name. Again I apologize, I won’t do it again.

    1. You really, REALLY need to filter ZeroHedge’s content; I’m a daily reader and some of their stuff is so far out in left field they can’t see the backstop from out there. You can find two different stories that totally contradict each other; and I gave-up reading the comments to their stories awhile ago – utter lunacy, and a lot of rabid anti-Semitism – but a lot of solid- heavy-hitting stuff at the same time, elsewhere on the site. As Abraham Lincoln (reputedly) said, “Don’t believe everything you read on teh interwebz”.

An example, in (almost) this case; ZH had several articles calling the Skripal poisonings false-flag operations by the UK, CIA, whoever, etc etc to embarrass Russia. Bellingcat has traced and identified the Russian GRU operatives who did it – and Bellingcat publishes its methods. Likewise, ZH had articles positing that MH17 was not shot-down, or if it was it wasn’t a missile, or if it was a missile it wasn’t a SS-11, or if it was a SS-11 it wasn’t a Russian one, ad nauseam – Bellingcat has identified the launcher and has pictures of it crossing-into the Donetsk from Russia that morning.

Who knows the truth?, but ultimately, this is the sort of thing Russia and/or Abbas have done time-and-time-again in the past; so why would I believe them when they say they didn’t do it this time?

      1. Yah Y.Knott Freedom of Speech and Liberty in General is very messy. You will love after Trudeau and company have you completely bound and gagged with their dirty socks. Saudi Arabia would be a good model. Or the UK where they will jail you for saying the wrong gender noun. Canada has done such a good job of coddling and weaving you into a safe little cocoon. Dunce.

    1. My recent trip to Honolulu looked similar, as the homeless encampments are everywhere outside of the Waikiki and residential areas. Lines down the sidewalk on the west side of downtown, and many closed side roads off the freeway to the airport, I counted 5 shanty towns.
It’s easy to be homeless in Hawaii, great weather for it! Seattle? These people must be nuts or drugged out, but hey! It’s bad to institutionalize or jail lawbreakers and the mentally ill. Let them roam free to cont8nue their lives of ongoing petty thefts, BnEs, and rampant drug use and dealing. Hell, everyone’s got insurance don’t they? /sarc

  9. “The more people rationalize cheating, the more it becomes a culture of dishonesty. And that can become a vicious, downward cycle. Because suddenly, if everyone else is cheating, you feel a need to cheat, too.”

    Stephen Covey

“There are six things the Lord hates, no, seven that are detestable to him:
    proud eyes,
    a lying tongue,
    hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness whose mouth pours out lies
and most of all, a person who stirs up conflicts in a community.”

Spencer Fernando, exclusive to the National Citizens Coalition

And, while Trudeau and much of the establishment media claimed Canada was in a recession in 2015, it turns out that wasn’t the case, something even CBC had to admit in an article posted in May of 2016:

“Canada’s economy expanded by 0.9 per cent last year, but there were wide differences across the country. Statistics Canada released final numbers for 2015 on Thursday that showed the economy expanded in seven provinces, but shrank in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador.”

  11. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has said that living with terror attacks – like the one that hit New York at the weekend – is ‘part and parcel of living in a big city’.

This should be the only response of any free thinking individual the next time some crazy targets a mosque. No apologies, no sympathy, no going to vigils. Make them live up to their own rules. Stop apologizing, and stop voting for people who jump on virtue signalling bandwagons.

“The attacks on mosques in Christchurch NZ are just part and parcel of living in a big city.” ME.

I am done apologizing. I am done dodging. I am done trying to avoid criticism. I am done protecting people from the consequences of their own poor decisions (like voting for Justin Scheer; or is it Andrew Trudeau?). I am done caring about the opinions of people who care what SJWs think of them. I am done listening to people who preface sentences with defensive remarks.

Give me a regiment of Donald Trumps who give not a single feck, and I will give you victory.

Crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and hear the lamentations of their soy boys.

I love the smell of SJW tears in the morning; it smells like victory.

  12. Canada set to begin collecting data on travellers leaving country

Ottawa will soon start collecting data on every person leaving Canada by land and air in a bid to identify and track anyone from potential terrorists to snowbirds who lie about their residency to claim government benefits.

The new measures, expected to take effect later this year, aim to strengthen border security, enforce residency requirements for permanent residents and pinpoint those who fail to leave the country as required.

    https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2019/03/19/canada-set-to-begin-collecting-data-on-travellers-leaving-country.html

    1. We are already tracked by our passports by both US and Canaderp customs, they already share the info, and know how long we have been away. It’s readily available.
This is just more political class war, giving the appearance of watching those awful rich people, who have worked all their lives to enjoy their retirement in the warmth.
Seems no end to the phony class war by Trugroper, pretending to be the great middle class champion! All the while, he is Mr 1%, living off his multi-Million dollar inherited trust fund, while defending his 1% friends at SNC, and the rest of the Laurentian cabal.

      1. Yep! When you travel between countries they know all about your border crossing history and extrapolate how long you’ve been in either country. If you visit the US and they have no record of you leaving within 6 months, expect questions on your next visit. This isn’t new.

    2. Most countries already do this; when I travelled to Slovakia in the early 2000’s, I was monitored in and out. Even on my most recent trip, the EU (via Schipohl Airport to and from), I was tracked both ways. Have long wondered why Canada did not do the same.

  13. Star EDITORIAL
Ardern’s example, and Trump’s abject failure of leadership

Faced with that, Trump could not even bring himself to recognize the growing threat of white nationalism. Instead, he played it down, calling it only “a small group of people that have very, very serious problems.”

This flies in the face of evidence from his own administration, not to mention independent analysts. The FBI and Homeland Security have both documented that white supremacist groups have killed more Americans than any other type of extremists (including Islamist terrorists) over the past 15 years.

This is no marginal threat, and Trump had no excuse not to know that.

    1. OP-ED
Allan Cahoon: Real leaders want to make a difference, not enhance their egos

We’ve seen this before in the 1930s in Europe and we are seeing an emergence of this again in the Americas. These populist leaders call us to coalesce around an exacerbated fear of some kind of a potential “enemy” that they are able to vilify — people who are different, immigrants, biased media, fake news, etc.

In The Political Brain, neuropsychologist Drew Westen gave us a scathing, sobering diagnosis of how our political thinking has changed and why political rhetoric stimulates voters, by appealing to their hearts rather than to their minds. Maybe we are just getting the type of political leadership that our subjective selves seek rather than the type of political leadership that we think we should have.

      https://vancouversun.com/opinion/op-ed/allan-cahoon-real-leaders-want-to-make-a-difference-not-enhance-their-egos

    2. Your “white supremacist” statistic is highly suspect.

The U.S. has many thousands of homicides every year – but when you dig-into the statistic, the first thing you discover is that over half of them are suicides, that are tacked-onto the total (especially during Obama’s day) to pad justifications for demanding tougher gun laws. Most of the remaining ones – and I do mean most – are drug-related violence in Democrat-controlled cities with tough gun laws. Outside those areas of those cities, the U.S. is one of the safest countries in the world in which to live.

So, how many people a year are these white supremacists killing, and why do we never hear of them? Other than Timothy McVeigh (I concede you’re right on him) and the Vegas incident (and he wasn’t a “white supremacist” so much as a simple nut-job), the two most poignant I can think-of in the U.S. were Orlando and 9/11; and they weren’t white supremacists.

      1. About 45,000 suicides per year in the USA.
        About 17,500 homicides.
50 people murdered by terrorism in 2018.
19 of the 50 murders in 2018 were by people who were led primarily or secondarily by their ideology. All of these were assigned to right-wing extremism.
The people who write about white supremacists are the same ones assigning murders to right-wing extremism. It’s a great gig, a self-fulfilling prophesy.

    3. The MSM will exploit any event to bash Trump. It is very, very sleazy and shows no awareness of the multitude of factors that drive violence. I think the “white nationalist” violence is overstated and distorted. “The FBI and Homeland Security have both documented that white supremacist groups have killed more, etc.” What exactly is a white supremacist group? Is that like a motorcycle gang? Or drug gang? In which case, they are primarily killing each other and not people praying, I think someone should look more carefully at those stats that supposedly come from the FBI. I believe they are bring pumped up to support a narrative.

That particular piece of writing was downright cringeworthy ( all the “isn’t she wonderful” talking points.) Silly.

      1. Yup — they are counting gang and drug crimes: “The ADL counts non-ideological murders committed by extremists in its tally — so a dedicated white supremacist who commits a murder unrelated to his political beliefs would be counted, for example.”
From an NBC news item. This just further confirms the left and the media’s attempt to paint a picture of “danger on the right.”

  14. I have to admit my interest in SDA has been tested by the cut and paste crowd.

While were at it a cut back in the vicious vitriol and threats wouldn’t be a bad thing. I’m fine with sarcasm- engage it it myself but I don’t want to associate with people, even those using fictitious names making death threats. We can keep it above that.

      1. And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the beast.” Revelations 17:12-13.

The Bible correctly predicted the European Union so I would take heed.

        1. Well said Steve.

          Freedom of speech lives here…

          I’m from Georgetown btw.

          Cheers…

      2. I ignore the bible quotes. Deal with the JW’s the same way. They show up doing gawds work or whatever it is they do and I am polite. I tell them I will come find them if I need them.

I think we have a few of them here @SDA.

  15. The crucifix in Quebec’s National Assembly: Why its symbolism matters

The first clash over a cross in Quebec occurred almost 500 years ago.

As non-Christian immigration has made Quebec’s population more diverse, many in the Christian majority have resented what are seen as “reasonable accommodations” for minorities. Polls indicate most Quebecers support the ban on religious symbols worn by government workers — but they want to keep the crucifix in the National Assembly.

Frédéric Bastien, a Quebec historian and political commentator, said most Quebecers see no contradiction in keeping the crucifix in the National Assembly while outlawing religious symbols among some government employees.

“The crucifix is symbolic,” Bastien said. “It’s not like a police officer who would be wearing a kippah or a turban or a Muslim veil, a person who is exercising some authority and is arresting you.”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/18/nyregion/black-students-nyc-high-schools.html#commentsContainer

On one hand you could force the “elite” schools to let in more Blacks and Hispanics. The schools claim that would water down their schools and it is unfair to deny Asians who qualified to enter such schools.

On the other hand you could direct energy toward the non-elite schools and make them better.

The government has chosen the former solution and the Asians are hopping mad.

  17. Andrew Sheer Tweet

Soon, under Justin Trudeau’s plan, the government will spend more in interest payments on debt than it does on healthcare. That’s the consequence of Justin Trudeau’s reckless spending and massive deficits.

    Vidéo below

    https://mobile.twitter.com/AndrewScheer/status/1065775941866201088

So we’re paying 14.8 Billion of compound interest every year on just our Federal Debt let alone adding on top of that all our municipal, provincial debt as well meanwhile all we have to do is put into power a political party that will reinstate the use of the Bank of Canada to its original purpose, by exercising its public statutory duty and responsibility. That purpose includes making interest-free loans to the municipal/provincial/federal governments for ‘human capital’ expenditures (education, health, other social services) and/or infrastructure expenditures.

How come no political party, politicians or media has ever mentioned this.

The biggest best kept secret ever!

No political party and or politician including Trudeau, Sheer or Max has ever mentioned that all we have to do is put into power a political party that will reinstate the use of the Bank of Canada to its original purpose, by exercising its public statutory duty and responsibility and we no longer have to pay compound interest on any of our municipal, provincial and federal debt.

No politician can save us for we Canadians need to do this together, collectively to reinstate what was just and fair for us and our children and great grandchildren.

We owe it to them for it was taken away on our watch though no media, politician or political party ever told us the truth, they all kept their mouths shut for I gather they were to busy bellied up to trough of governmental debts and compound interest and stuffing their faces with our 50% in tax money paid every year.

Reinstate the Bank of Canada is on Facebook. To connect with Reinstate the Bank of Canada

    https://m.facebook.com/RCUoBoC/

    1. “pay compound interest on any of our municipal, provincial and federal debt.”

Why are all the people who know nothing about finance obsessed with compound interest? Finance lesson – virtually no-one pays compound interest. When paying a loan, first you pay interest and then you pay a portion of the principal. If you are in default the interest is compounded. Back when I wore short pants and we used to do interest calculations by hand we used to deduct the payments from principal for 6 months (semi-annual compounding) and then add back 6 months interest to the principal. The net effect is still the same – at the end of a particular period you pay interest first, then a portion of the principal. Normally you pay absolutely no interest on interest. Also. I would assume that the federal government pays no compound interest on its debt. Financial instruments can be nearly infinite in variety but normally the government would pay interest on its bonds yearly and the principal when it matures and none of the devil’s compound interest.

      1. Why are you distracting from the fact that if we reinstate the original purpose of our National Bank this year we would save paying 14.8 Billion dollars in interest payments and that 14.8 Billion dollars could go towards debt repayments, healthcare, schools, roads etc.

Convenient how you left that out.

        What was the purpose?

        1. “Convenient how you left that out.”

Old social creditors must have more wrinkles than Keith Richard’s scrotum by now. Note – government doesn’t pay compound interest on bonds. Government does however issue new bonds to pay interest on old bonds. I am not sure what you are talking about and I am not interested in watching some hour long horse shit video made by kindergarten kids.

A couple more things. Banks do not create money. The banking system creates money. If I have a million dollars I put it in the bank. Then the bank lends out most of that million to someone else who spends it. Whomever receives it then puts it in the bank and so on. Note that me, who started the process is the only one with a net worth of a million dollars. Everyone else’s net worth is zero with assets offset by an equal liability.

The other common financial quackery is to have the central bank print money as in Obama’s quantitative easing. This is simply theft from existing holders of dollars by dilution.

          1. Why do you Scar always try to confuse a simple thought process of interest.

            Interest Free = Zero Interest

            Sheer said

14.8 Billion of Interest every year paid out on just the Federal Debt let alone what we all pay in interest on all of our provincial and municipal debt.

But to you scar it’s nothing and we don’t understand your grand Poohba false teaching of the actual truth.

          2. I believe that in the US, the Federal Reserve via the Federal Reserve Banks creates money which the people and institutions then borrow and pay back with interest. Where exactly do you think money comes from? Did your millionaire just conjure up those dollars using a magic wand?

          3. Don’t forget that banks lend with leverage. If you deposit $1 million the bank will lend out $20 million. In a sense that $19 million is created by the bank because the government allows them to do this. If the bank lends someone $1 million of the $19 million they created from your money and that person buys derivatives on the market then the leverage is ratcheted up to $30 million. This is why there is more debt in the world than there is money.

      2. What part of Interest Free Loans by the Bank of Canada that you don’t understand Scar?

We use to have interest free loans from the Bank of Canada look at World Way II come the end of it we had the third largest navy and fourth largest air force in the world.

We did that with interest free loans from our Bank of Canada that’s how…

        1. “We did that with interest free loans from our Bank of Canada that’s how…”

Theft from existing holders of dollars by dilution.

      3. “virtually no-one pays compound interest”. Maybe not on bonds but it is true for mortgages. You pay interest on a declining balance. So every person who owns a mortgaged home pays compound interest.

        1. “So every person who owns a mortgaged home pays compound interest.”

Bullshit! How are you paying interest on interest when you are paying all the interest every month plus some principal?

“If you deposit $1 million the bank will lend out $20 million.”

Bullshit! The banking system will create $20 million by loaning and reloaning the same money. In the normal course of business a bank cannot loan more than it has on deposit.

And to repeat – The central bank by lending money to the government, that will never likely be repaid, does so only by stealing the value from holders of currency by dilution.

  18. SENIOR UKRAINIAN OFFICIAL SAYS HE’S OPENED PROBE INTO US ELECTION INTERFERENCE

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko told Hill.TV’s John Solomon in an interview aired on Wednesday that he has opened a probe into alleged attempts by Ukrainians to interfere in the United States’ 2016 presidential election.

“Today we will launch a criminal investigation about this and we will give legal assessment of this information,” Lutsenko said last week.

Lutsenko is probing a claim from a member of the Ukrainian parliament that the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Artem Sytnyk, attempted to the benefit of the 2016 U.S. presidential election on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

Obama WH counsel faces possible prosecution in Mueller-initiated probe

Former Obama White House Counsel and Clinton-linked attorney Greg Craig may soon be charged by the Justice Department for engaging in illegal unregistered overseas lobbying, in a case initially probed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller — a development that would make him the first Democrat to face prosecution amid the long-running Russia investigation.

    1. The big book-publishing corporations love the NDP and the Liberals. And CBC News is working overtime to defeat the UCP in Alberta.

    2. No surprise. This is expected from politicians these days. Harper is one of the few politicians who did not puff himself up like this. Even his latest book is thoughtful and about world problems– not about him.

  19. Ceasar-Cheves (sp?) has announced she will sit as an independent.
11 more and thats an officially recognized caucus.
Not that I am suggesting anything.

    1. If Scheer was the leader that he thinks he is he and the Conservative party should have pushed all of the ingenue newbie liberal back-benchers back at the very beginning of this government circus and told them that the Conservatives will be pulling all of the stops to make sure that the one time wonders would never pick up a pension check if they stuck with the Liberals until the next election. Well the time has passed and Scheer and the CPC are powerless to effect change. They have no voice in the MSM and this budget will ensure that they never will have. Harper as good as he was had no stomach for eviscerating the CBC. The Liberals are throwing off their clown suits, and their propaganda machine will now be going full tilt extolling the virtuous Liberal Party. Hitler and Goebbels would be proud of how their legacy has survived. First control the press, then control the law and the courts and you have total control of the country.

  20. Just heard the lengthy interview of SNC Lavelin CEO Neil Bruce, with Amber Kanwar on BNN-BNN-Bloomberg. One morsel that came out of the interview was that SNC Lavalin did not tell Justin Trudeau’s PMO that the company was thinking of pulling its head office out of Canada. Neil Bruce seemed decently honest enough. So if he is telling the truth, then Justin Trudeau and his apparachiks are lying.

  21. Breaking: Libersl MP Celina Caesar-Chavannes (the MP Justin Tudesu yelled at) just quit the Liberal caucus.

    1. “Mr. Prime Minister, have you anything to say on her leaving the caucus and sitting as an independent?”

“Mth Thaether-Thavanneth experienthed our dithcuthion differently.”

    1. Tis about control….a declaration of Sharia…

The Muslims ought to understand why this happened since they believe in an eye for an eye. Quel est le problème? Hope to not seem too callous or indifferent to suffering, because I am not.

    2. Ugh. That is awful. Talk about pandering. I hope people are courageous enough not to wear that symbol of female oppression. They are destroying their own culture. Very sad.

  22. New Zealand attack; Australian hate
OPINION Mar 19, 2019 by Gwynne Dyer Waterloo Region Record

Extreme right-wing terrorism, mostly of the ‘white nationalist’ variety, is becoming as big a problem as Islamist terrorism in many places. That’s certainly the case in the United States, where the U.S. Government Accounting Office calculated last year that 119 Americans have been killed by Islamist extremists since the 9/11 attacks, and 106 Americans by far-right extremists.

So the real question of the day is: why is Australia like that? Why did it make more sense when I heard that the Islamophobic mass-murderer was Australian? The answer may lie largely in the character of the Australian media – and I don’t mean the social media. I mean the ‘mainstream’ media. Mostly, I mean Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.

The monolithic dominance of Murdoch’s News Corp. over the Australian media landscape has few counterparts in other democratic countries, and it is reflexively anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant. Indeed, Murdoch himself was over 40 years old before the ‘white Australia’ policy (no non-white immigrants) was officially abandoned.Je

Do we see the narrative from the Presstitute media and how they manipulate the sheeple.

    1. White nationalist extremists being a big problem is fake news. The Muslim extremists are killing innocent people. The White nationalists are killing each other — drug deals gone wrong, etc. The narrative is being deliberately pumped up to make Muslim terrorism not look so bad, but it is a crock. Even Charlottesville was deliberately set up to make right wingers look bad. There were maybe 35 people in that torch parade and they were told by organizers (Spencer, the former leftist) to bring those torches. The plan was to scare everybody that the KKK is back (the organizers plan, not the dupes participating). Too bad for them they did not get much of a turnnout. These days it is the leftists going around in hopes and masks.

The SNC-Lavalin Scandal Has Left Me A Conflicted Voter

I have always veered hard left in my support of political parties. I’m a woman married to another woman and raising four children, one of whom is transgender. We are the quintessential LGBTQ family and, as such, human rights and safety are a top priority.

The Liberals, with their promise to bring in protections for gender identity and expression, easily won my vote four years ago. But now I stand conflicted. Is this party, with its broken promises and questionable ethics, who I want at the helm for another four years?

    1. She’s “married” to another woman and one of their kiddies wants to “cross the floor”. It sounds like the ideal Liberal family, doesn’t it?

      1. After reading through the article at the URL, I found this gem, which has more about that “family”:

        http://tinyurl.com/y42ca8jq

They’re not quite the ideal Liberal family, as they’re all white, though there’s no mention about their religious affiliation, if you get my meaning.

        Yikes!

Mystery parties seek secrecy in Jeffrey Epstein-related suit
The two said they could face embarrassment if the court makes public records from the suit, which accused a longtime Epstein friend of engaging in sex trafficking.
By JOSH GERSTEIN 03/20/2019 02:39 PM EDT
Two mystery litigants citing privacy concerns are making a last-ditch bid to keep secret some details in a lawsuit stemming from wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein’s history of paying underage girls for sex.

Just prior to a court-imposed deadline Tuesday, two anonymous individuals surfaced to object to the unsealing of a key lower-court ruling in the case, as well as various submissions by the parties.

    1. https://truepundit.com/busted-muellers-new-star-witness-trump-caught-partying-exclusive-island-resort-bill-clinton/

George Nader testified last week to the Mueller grand jury.

Mr. Nader is an adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, the de facto ruler of the United Arab Emirates. According to The Times, Mr. Mueller is investigating whether Emirati money found its way to the Trump campaign, which would be illegal.

That sounds very official and all but perhaps Mueller might ask his new star witness in the Trump investigation what he was doing partying on an exclusive island resort with Bill Clinton.

See more pics of Bill and Mr Nader in the link above/

    1. This was done in an Islamic state. People need to understand what Sharia law entails. I am surprised the Professor did something so foolish. In my view this crime is different from knifing someone in the UK for just walking down the street. We don’t agree with Islamic law, so this is a good illustration of the ultimate incompatibility of Islam and Western culture. Our politicians need to pay attention.

  25. Retired manitoba judge Brian Giesbrecht wrote an interesting article in c2cjournal.ca.

He sets the record straight on who pressured who in the Jody Wilson-Raybould saga.

Calls out JWR for her native activitism and interference as AG/ Minister of Justice. Even the libranos couldn’t take what she was doing. The SNC affair was a smoke screen according to the judge.

    1. Blame the victim or is it bait and switch?

How about it’s both and it’s all corrupt!

Censorship Tightens As Governments Lose Control

Governments have lost control of the narrative that they are in control of events. Everyday I wake up to another instance of outrageous censorship from some ‘social media’ company blocking or banning someone for no apparent reason.

The latest outrage is Twitter banning the account of Wikileaks publisher Julian Assange’s mother, Christine.

Australian and New Zealand ISPs have gone bonkers IP blocking sites in the wake of the Christchurch massacre. Sites like Zerohedge have been targeted in the past two weeks for publishing narratives orthogonal to what the governments in the West are comfortable with people consuming.

First it was Facebook, blocking and then unblocking Zerohedge with no apparent reasoning behind it. Now its ISP’s over-reacting to an emotional event ensuring that a good crisis never goes to waste.

  26. First it was “story hour” in public libraries. Now they’re in restaurants:

    http://tinyurl.com/y5u86wck

What’s worse: the performer, the establishment for allowing it to take place, or the parents who willingly allow their children to be exposed to such garbage?

  27. What has happened to blazingcatfur.ca ??
Here (Australia) we have only got
    “This site can’t be reached
http://www.blazingcatfur.ca’s server IP address could not be found.” for the last few days.
And no simple search on google reveals any relevant report or comment. Does anyone know ?

  28. Thanks Fake Me
    Cleared all over all time.
Went to that link, which gives a list of links …
They all give the same result. … IP address could not be found
Blazingcatfur is invisible in Australia – well, at least to me on both my MS laptop and on iphone.

    1. Well the links work here in Canada so I guess your government is being tyrical…

Don’t worry it’s happening all over the world.

You could try changing your IP using a company like IPVanish it’s not that expensive and then you can bypass your governments totalitarian war against free speech.

You should of kept your guns now their losing them in NZ and soon they will try here as well.

When do we all fight back?

      Best of luck mate…
