Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!

2015: “This broader challenge of countering extremism is not simply a military effort. Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.”.”

2019: The evacuation scenes have been apocalyptic.

  1. So sorry, but this Canadian is all out of give a ***ks.

Every – or nearly every one of these ‘refugees’ is and will remain an ISIS supporter, religiously, morally and politically. A clear and present danger to any nation willing to accept them. Nonetheless, I would expect our oh so compassionate PM to be in the forefront of virtue signalling our ‘Canadian Values ™’ by not just accepting, but openly welcoming our ‘fair share’ of these sisters of evil and their spawn.

    1. After committing the most horrible atrocities imaginable, these people are completely unapologetic.
They are true die-hards. As such, they will never fit into any civilized society.
At the risk of sounding like a complete A-hole, I’ve got to ask the obvious question:
Why were they allowed to surrender?

  2. Idiots need to understand the term no quarter. These goat shaggers will live to fight another day.

  3. “I think this is the reason for the failure of the Islamic State … God protected us (from the international coalition.) But when there was corruption inside us, God stopped making us victorious,” she said.”

Even when totally and utterly defeated, they still cling to the idea that as long as THEY’RE erstwhile husbands are in charge and winning, they should be able to do whatever they want with a blessing; when they lose, WE do whatever they want, namely giving them a safe space to regroup. We’re insane.

“Pleasing your enemies doesn’t turn them into friends”, indeed. Crush them utterly. When you have your foot on their throat, press harder. They can, will, and have done the same to us the very moment they are able to.

  4. Nothing Obama ever said about Islam was true.
Nothing extremist Moslems ever say about Islam is false.

  5. Napalm/cluster bomb/MOAB them all. And FFS do not take ANY prisoners. if it is wounded put a bullet in its cranium and move on the next one. Lather rinse repeat. Fast track them all to their 72 virigin goats.

  6. These guys need to be dead. If not, we will see them again. Belonging to ISIS should be a capital offense.

    1. An interesting problem is emerging. According to international law they are allowed to return to their countries with their fate in the justice system. Big problem is there is no evidence linking them directly to any crime. So they could all go free (in countries like Canada).

      1. All we need is someone with the balls to charge them with crimes against humanity, and conspiracy thereof.

      2. How hard can it be to find evidence of membership and aiding ISIS? Which should be a crime. Yes let them return-then arrest them.

  7. I remember back in 2014 (ish) there was an interview with a war journalist on Fox News. He said the only way to defeat ISIS was to go door to door and kill the men. I don’t remember him ever being on again but it looks like someone was listening.

  8. Her husband, a mosque cleaner, had been afraid to leave.
“Sir, of the 500 prisoners. 495 say they are mosque cleaners.”
Turdeau: “Ahhh, We can ahh, ahhh, um, find jobs for them in ahhh, Canada. We are all about jobs.”
(And a cool $10 mil in compensation.)

    1. Mosque cleaning is a special skill. it takes a keen eye to spot which garbage bags contain garbage and which bags are covering women.

US Army Takes 50 Tons Of Gold From Syria In Alleged Deal With ISIS

According to reports by Syrian state news agency SANA, U.S. forces struck a deal with ISIS whereby the terrorist group would give up 50 tons of gold across eastern Syria’s Deir el-Zour province in exchange for safe passage.

The precious metal, worth about $2.13 billion, was plundered by the self-designated “caliphate” as its reign of terror spread across Syria and Iraq between 2015 and 2017.

Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah reports that local sources claim U.S. Army helicopters have already transferred the gold from the U.S. forces’ base in Kobani, the Kurdish-controlled city that lies close to Syria’s northern border with Syria. A portion of the gold was also distributed to the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), which dominates the U.S.-allied Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The news comes after SANA claimed that locals witnessed U.S. helicopters airlifting large cases of gold amounting to about 40 tons from the al-Dashisha area in Hasaka’s southern countryside earlier this month. The gold was purportedly looted by ISIS from Mosul in Iraq and other parts of Syria.

The Syrian state media outlet claimed that ISIS leaders were on-hand to guide the U.S. helicopters to the places where the gold was stashed, “closing a deal by which Washington spared hundreds of the terror organization’s field leaders and experts.”

The claims by the Syrian government outlet coincide with reports by U.K.-based war monitor, the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR), which alleged that the U.S. and its Kurdish allies had been sparing ISIS fighters in hopes of acquiring the group’s war spoils.

    The SOHR said:

“The U.S.-led coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) deliberately do not target the areas under the control of the ISIL terrorists and commanders in Eastern Euphrates in Deir el-Zour as they are trying to locate this treasure by forcing the ISIL militants to speak about its location after surrendering.”

Syrian and Russian media alike have long alleged that, contrary to Washington’s claims, it is waging a war on the extremist group. U.S. forces are instead collaborating with them in myriad ways.

During the destruction of ISIS-controlled Raqqa in Syria by the U.S.-led coalition, a secret deal was struck with the group that granted members safe passage as it evacuated the area. The deal, uncovered by the BBC, ensured the survival and freedom of many top ISIS leaders and a number of foreign fighters.

  10. “Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.”

But first you might wanna get the “ideology” to stop shooting you. It’s kinda hard to get a better idea across when you’re dead. Just sayin’.

  11. ISIS isn’t dead, its just regrouping in the UK, Canada, Germany and Michigan.

    1. We all know that but the politicians don’t. Looking at it thru human eyes, there’s no hope.
But with all that, seeing those poor children suffering as desperately as they are is breaking my heart so I say a prayer for them. We can all do that.

  12. ” Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.”.” — Sure. Because “better ideas” fought the battles of Stalingrad and the Scheldt. Ideologies are defeated by external forces otherwise they self-perpetuate. Justin Hairdo has obviously never cracked a history book (or probably any other book for that matter).

    1. probably any other book for that matter

He probably has two publications in his library. One is an issue of Playboy and he hasn’t coloured in all the pictures in the other one.

  13. “Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.”

Not when those minds are closed to other ideas!
TRY getting a mohammedan to change his beliefs…just try! I dare you. It’s like a roll-up steel shutter going down, followed by naked hostility.

    1. They’re not allowed to change their beliefs because those who do can be executed under the terms of Islam.

  14. We need someone with the authority to declare Exterminatus Extremis.

  17. If this story were read by a Western Leftist, is there any doubt that they would STILL believe that the greatest threat to the world are Trump supporters? These neanderthal brutes are “just understood”.

  18. Wars that end in the utter annihilation of the vanquished are not just a perfectly legitimate way to settle disputes between the civilized and savages, and between good men and the wicked. They’re the only thing that ever has.

God ordered Israel to exterminate the Amalekites for a reason. If Israel had obeyed that commandment, we would never have heard a word about the false prophet Mohammed.

Islamic State? If you fancy you and yours a nation, much less a state, fight for your freedom.

If you win it, like Israel did, you are a nation, with whom God is well pleased.

If you can’t win, either have the courage to die trying or learn to live as the slaves of your conquerors, bevause that’s the most you deserve.

Ideas? Every freshman at Ryerson has ideas.

    1. “God ordered Israel to exterminate the Amalekites for a reason.”

If god ordered that, maybe god ordered the Nazis to exterminate the jews for similar reasons?

I just bring this up because jews say we should never forget the holocaust, but likely the first holocaust in history was the jewish extermination of the Canaanites. Never is a really long time and if we should never forget what the Nazis did to the jews, maybe we should never forget what the Jews did to the Canaanites, and Amalekites. Just something to think about.

      1. Except the Jews DIDN’T annihilate Amalek. Both the Jews and the Gentiles have paid the price ever since.

  19. I think every Liberal member, donor, their families, should be handed over to ISIS after the next election. They knew what they wanted, they deserve to get it good and hard.

  20. “Ideologies are not defeated with guns…”

    Oh, I don’t know.

After all, Nazism was completely discredited as an influential ideology through the comprehensive military defeat of the Third Reich.

  21. Regarding the arguments that these ISIS members could get past a trial because it couldn’t be proven the individual was directly involved in an atrocity; anyone see a downside to declaring ISIS a criminal organization? They have admitted their guilt. Outside of a battle it is just not right to kill in cold blood.

  22. When the government bans your guns is when the time has come to banish your governments right of ever making another law against you by using your now illegal firearms against them.

Is Venezuela paying the price for adopting gun control?

The shocking nature of Venezuela’s economic collapse has been covered ad nauseam. However, one aspect of the Venezuelan crisis that does not receive much coverage is the country’s gun control regime.

Fox News recently published an excellent article highlighting Venezuelan citizens’ regret over the gun control policies the Venezuelan government has implemented since 2012. Naturally, this regret is warranted. The Venezuelan government is among the most tyrannical in the world, with a proven track record of violating basic civil liberties such as free speech, debasing its national currency, confiscating private property, and creating economic controls that destroy the country’s productivity.

Elections have proven to be useless, as they’ve been mired with corruption and charges of government tampering. For many, taking up arms is the only option left for the country to shake off its tyrannical government. However, the Venezuelan government has done well to prevent an uprising by passing draconian gun control which will be detailed below.

Venezuelans are now defenseless against a government that runs roughshod over their civil liberties, while also destroying their economic livelihood. As if it weren’t enough, everyday Venezuelans must put up with rampant crime and the constant threat of colectivos, Venezuela’s infamous pro-government paramilitary units.

Although gun control in and of itself does not automatically lead to tyranny, historical events remind us that well-intentioned interventions from previous governments can be used by the next round of political operatives for nefarious purposes. Firearms bans, confiscation, and registration give the state a virtual monopoly on violence, thus turning its citizens into defenseless subjects. When the rubber meets the road, a disarmed populace has no chance against a well-armed Leviathan.

    1. Venezuela’s Guaido calls for massive protest as blackout drags on

CARACAS, March 9 (Reuters) – Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido on Saturday called on citizens nationwide to travel to the capital Caracas for a protest against socialist President Nicolas Maduro, as the country’s worst blackout in decades dragged on for a third day.

Addressing supporters in southwestern Caracas, Guaido – the leader of the opposition-run congress who invoked the constitution to assume an interim presidency in January – said Maduro’s government “has no way to solve the electricity crisis that they themselves created.”

“All of Venezuela, to Caracas!” Guaido yelled while standing atop a bridge, without saying when the planned protest would be held. “The days ahead will be difficult, thanks to the regime.”

Activists had scuffled with police and troops ahead of the rally, meant to pressure Maduro amid the blackout, which the governing Socialist Party called an act of U.S.-sponsored sabotage but opposition critics derided as the result of two decades of mismanagement and corruption.

Dozens of demonstrators attempted to walk along an avenue in Caracas but were moved onto the sidewalk by police in riot gear, leading them to shout at the officers and push on their riot shields. One woman was sprayed with pepper spray, according to a local broadcaster.

The power flickered on and off in parts of Caracas on Saturday morning, including the presidential palace of Miraflores, according to Reuters witnesses. Six of the country’s 23 states still lacked power as of Saturday afternoon, Socialist Party Vice President Diosdado Cabello said on state television.

“We’re all upset that we’ve got no power, no phone service, no water and they want to block us,” said Rossmary Nascimiento, 45, a nutritionist at the Caracas rally. “I want a normal country.”

At a competing march organized by the Socialist Party to protest what it calls U.S. imperialism, Maduro blamed the outages on “electromagnetic and cyber attacks directed from abroad by the empire.”

“The right wing, together with the empire, has stabbed the electricity system, and we are trying to cure it soon,” he said.

Several hundred people gathered at the rally in central Caracas for a march to denounce the crippling U.S. oil sanctions aimed at cutting off the Maduro government’s funding sources.

“We’re here, we’re mobilized, because we’re not going to let the gringos take over,” said Elbadina Gomez, 76, who works for an activist group linked to the Socialist Party.

      CLINICS IDLE

Julio Castro, a doctor and member of a nongovernmental organization called Doctors For Health, tweeted that a total of 17 people had died during the blackout, including nine deaths in emergency rooms.

Reuters was unable to independently confirm the deaths or whether they could have resulted from the blackout. The Information Ministry did not respond to a request for comment.

Clinics in the sweltering western state of Zulia, which suffers chronic regional blackouts, had scaled back operations after nearly 72 hours without power.

“We’re not offering services and we don’t have any patients staying here because the generator is not working,” said Chiquinquira Caldera, head of administration at the San Lucas clinic in the city of Maracaibo, as she played a game of Chinese checkers with doctors who were waiting for power to return.

Venezuela, already suffering from hyperinflation and shortages of basic goods, has been mired in a major political crisis since Guaido assumed the interim presidency in January, calling Maduro a usurper following the 2018 election, which Maduro won but was widely considered fraudulent.

Maduro says Guaido is a puppet of Washington and dismisses his claim to the presidency as an effort by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump to control Venezuela’s oil wealth.

Former mayor and exiled opposition activist Antonio Ledezma on Saturday called on Guaido to seek United Nations intervention in Venezuela by invoking a principle known as “responsibility to protect.”

The U.N. doctrine sometimes referred to as R2P was created to prevent mass killings such as those of Rwanda and Bosnia and places the onus on the international community to protect populations from crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing.

“President @jguaido, (you should) formally request Humanitarian Intervention, applying the concept of R2P, to stop extermination, genocide and destruction of what’s left of our country,” Ledezma wrote via Twitter.

At the opposition rally, Guaido said he would not invoke an article of the Venezuelan constitution allowing the congress to authorize foreign military operations within Venezuela “until we have to.”

“Article 187 when the time comes,” Guaido said. “We need to be in the streets, mobilized. It depends on us, not on anybody else.”

Trump has said that a “military option” is on the table with regard to Venezuela, but Latin American neighbors have emphatically opposed a U.S. intervention as a way of addressing the situation.

  23. “Ideologies are not defeated with guns, they are defeated by better ideas.”

I’m so glad the Allies defeated Hitler with better ideas.
Although it does help that Nazism and it’s symbols are illegal in Germany today.
We could do that same thing with Islam if we only had the will to do it.

  24. “Why are anti-gun activists so violent?” When you turn that question around and ask it the other way (why are the government supremacists so opposed to private humans being armed?) then it pretty well answers itself.

    Push back.

Don’t let the communists seize the high ground on language; if gun violence is responsible for two thirds of all suicides, is it rope violence if they hang themselves? There is no communist country in recorded history that permitted private weapons ownership. I say again, you will note that the disarmament enthusiasts NEVER advocate the disarming of government forces. It is not even in their “moral” imagination.

    Ever. -BB

And keep this in mind the next time you are chatting (is that possible?) with a government supremacist troll (friends, neighbors, countrymen!) and ask a simple question:

“Is there anything, one thing, in your agenda to recreate man in your image that doesn’t require violence to implement?”

In other words, is there any leftist* creed that does not require you to bow and scrape and submit to the state in every facet of your existence

    Push back.

Don’t let the communists seize the high ground on language; if gun violence is responsible for two

“You only have power over people so long as you don’t take everything away from them. But when you’ve robbed a man of everything he’s no longer in your power — he’s free again.”

“It is perfectly possible for a man to be out of prison and yet not free—to be under no physical constraint and yet be a psychological captive, compelled to think, feel and act as the representatives of the national state, or of some private interest within the nation wants him to think, feel and act. . . . To him the walls of his prison are invisible and he believes himself to be free.”
