For years, Justin Trudeau and his MSM fanboys & fangirls have portrayed him as a super progressive breath of fresh air in Ottawa. Bill Wilson, father of Jody Wilson-Raybound, begs to differ in this discussion with Roy Green [Duration 14:49].
Related: The NY Times has a long, interesting piece about the downfall of the Shiny PhoneyPony.

Regarding the NYT’s article, consider this: Catherine Porter is ex-Torstar working for the Times, has written award-winning feminist columns, and enjoys community activism as a past-time, according to her NYT bio.
Go figure.
If it appeared in the NYT it must be true. Imagine them hiring a leftist!
From the article :
“SNC Lavelin, a multinational engineering company based in Quebec, paid 47.7 million Canadian dollars in bribes to officials in Libya to win contracts there, and defrauded the Libyan government and its agencies of 129.8 million Canadian dollars.”
It took an article in the N.Y. Times to find out the truth about the 129.8 million. We get half news here. Well fa là là, HRH Truduh. The the article does not say anything about Obstruction of Justice. It is a serious crime. It was too soft on Justy. Where did all the money go?
Hey, but SNC didn’t bomb the shite out of Libya leading to the assassination of the ruling familly and installation of islamic and tribal mobs running slave markets.
Bill Wilson’s comments on Harper make me wonder what exactly his complaint was, not enough acquiescence to the Indian politicians, not enough extra money flowing into their pockets?
Note too, that Wilson refers to his people as “Indians” repeatedly, while they make white people jump through hoops to call them the absurd,”First Nations”.
Wilson might be right about one thing, the huge bureaucracy in Indian Affairs (his words) and his statement that they spend 48 billion dollars per year on the IA portfolio to little result. Like 95% of his people though, Wilson still beats the same old victim drum, always blames the evil white man and never accepts any responsibility for Indians problems.
Like Kate says,”why is there a big screen TV and an SUV at every Chief’s house?” Nope,no possibility of corruption here, it’s The White Man’s fault.
And if IA did what Wilson suggested and just sent a cheque directly to every Rez dwelling Indian instead of doling it out to the Chiefs to dole out to their people, the Chiefs would have their relatives block every road and rail line in Canada, as their source of wealth would disappear. The Chiefs drive those Escalades for a good reason; they’re ripping off their own people.
The White Man may be partially at fault for the Indians woes, but until people like Bill Wilson will admit that the other half of the problem is Indian politicians, the situation will never change. Chief Wilson is probably just like Quebec, wants to bitch and blackmail us until hell freezes over because if we DID finally solve all the Indians problems, there would be no use for Indian politicians any more, and they are just as interested in maintaining the status quo as anyone, even more so.
Don at 11:49 asked what was Wilson’s complaint with Harper?
Accountability. The chiefs did not want to have to account for the money they were getting.
I too noticed he said indians. I’ve heard this repeatedly from Wilson. Funny eh. If I was from India I might take offence.
“Accountability.”
Never forget that accountability=racism.
Roy Green seemed to go for it. I thought the Scheer interview that followed the Bill Wilson bit was almost an ambush. Green challenged Scheer to reply to the things Wilson said.
There is nothing Scheer could have said that would counter the kind of bs that Bill Wilson pedals. Oops that’s raaysist.
I could care less what Bill Wilson’s whining was about. This matter has nothing whatsoever to do with Indians, women or anything other than the legal system. The attempt by clowns like Bill Wilson trying to turn this into a matter that it isn’t is typical of the trough feeders. Now, let’s get back to the issue at hand…..which is political interference in judicial matters…..and while we are at it, maybe we need to look into the slow walking of the SNC executive corruption charges that were stayed because the prosecution didn’t aggressively pursue the charges and allowed them to essentially time out.
Thank you Joey, finally someone that’s talking sense. People, try to expand your small weak minds and Look at the bigger picture please, this is about the corruption of the top levels of the liberal government, the corrupt prime minister and his officials. Please keep the focus on that.
I was in a room with Bill Wilson when he looked at those of us representing forest companies in an NDP inspired land use plan for Vancouver Island and he said, “we should have killed you all when we had the chance”. The man is a nasty piece of work and like other professional indians, in it for the long game. The more JWR is unlike her father, the more respect I would have for her. His hatred for the Harper government is Harper’s badge of honour.
JC – “like”
“We should have killed you all when we had the chance”
I’ve heard that line before and replied in several ways.
“You mean before you left Asia?”
or
“You mean kill us like you did all the large mammals in North America?”
And had they done that, their eventual confrontation would have been with the Spanish whose inclination is conquest and plunder, not trade.
I think the history that Wilson and others like to forget is that had the British not settled the West Coast, his ancestors would likely have either been killed or enslaved by the Haidas. They didn’t bother with treaties because for the first time in their history they were free to continue fishing and hunting without fear of inter-tribal genocide, slavery, and even famine. They surrendered de facto with the absence of treaties not becoming an issue until decades later after apartheid and years of inter-generational marination in welfare and resentment along with the rise of legalisms and the indian industry. His long game isn’t equity but revenge.
I am happy to stand back, and not interfere in any way. Jody chose socialism. Now Jody gets to experience the allies she wanted. Good and hard.
I would stand with Gerald Stanley; Raybould is on here schutzstaffel justice own.
Big Chief Jody deciding to run for the Liberals again just proves the point that there are no heroes in this scandal. She also wants special status for indians in our criminal justice system, etc. etc. The only solution is to vote the Liberals out of office and a rejection of both sides.
I’m with you, Ontario John. She has a long game that is all about more race-based rights for Aboriginals. Don’t heap accolades on her. She also guided the legislation through that lets the police stop, search and interrogate you for no reason.
I watched an interview with Jody Wilson’s father – the First Nation Chief from the lower mainland. He stated that we should be very proud of his daughter because she has stood up for – and he looks right into the camera and points his finger at us all – “YOUR LAWS.”
To me that says it all. He, and probably most of his colleagues, have no respect for, nor do they recognize Canadian Rule of Law. And we continue to provide billions and billions of dollars to a group that doesn’t respect us nor do they consider themselves to be Canadian.
My cynicism would suggest that this whole scandal has been orchestrated by the First Nation Chiefs to make Trudeau look bad such that Wilson’s daughter could make a run for the leadership of the Liberal Party and hence become Canada’s first Indigenous female PM. She would win a landslide. If that were to occur stand by for heavy rolling.
I am no fan of Trudeau but this whole thing makes me wonder.
Wilson Raybould is playing Trudeau, she has him by the short and curlies, he’s got no wiggle room to even consider ousting her from the party, not allowing her to run in the next election under the Liberal banner. She has already said she will be running for the Liberals which is calling his bluff.
I’m not a fan of “Shiny Pony”. My nickname for The Justin always has been and always will be “Boy Blunder”. And it truly is a shame that there’s never a second avalanche around when you need one.
I’m no fan of Roy Green. I think he’s a light weight thinker. A guy who’s been at the job for 25 years and has one years experience 25 times. Never got to year 2 of the program. Can’t see a big picture.
As for Bill Wilson someone above pointed out he’s a professional Indian which he is. Been at the trough his whole life. He’s making the most of his daughters notoriety. I’ll bet there’s a good chance the two of them don’t speak to each other.
I’m not from Canada, but it sounded like the chief said that Trudeau is simply a mini-Harper and that conservatives need to pay for the damage done by Trudeau’s party…
