      1. R of O, I just watched CTV’s Question period this AM, and was shocked when Craig Oliver,Tonda McCharles and another female CTV’er whose name escapes me ALL piled on Trudeau,even Dad Pierre’s former lover Oliver!

        They had Scheer and Peter McKay on separately, and Scheer did fairly well, but when asked the ONE BIG question,” do you agree with Deferred Prosecution Agreements”, he skated around it,just like Trudeau. As you said, Scheer left that question alone as he would do exactly the same thing. The CPC still hasn’t figured out that they won’t win Quebec,don’t have the political-corporate connection the LPC does. Mulroney was the exception because he was Paul Desmarais boy from early in his career.
        In the second part of the program,they had Wab Kinew, the Manitoba NDP leader,and he absolutely shit kicked Trudeau, who it appears has lost the FN vote.

        It will be interesting to see if the CPC has the good sense to campaign heavily in areas they have a chance to win, Ontario,the Prairies,B.C., or if they will waste huge resources on Quebec and the Maritimes.

          But wasn’t Scheer simply, as Opposition Leader, consulted on how this law would affect the SNC investigation and they have seen been convicted of fraud, or some plea bargain, which he would not be a part of?

    I like the latter phrase. We can start using the phrase “shift in trajectory” every time a pc person gets caught in a lie, and when the media cartel get caught spreading the lie for their own political purposes.

      1. I used to build model airplanes during my high school years. I never built any that used engines, but I did make several that were rubber-powered.

        Now, if AOC was truly concerned about the environment and helping the third world, those buses would run using rubber bands. No batteries to worry about, no electricity using those nasty carbon-producing fules would be required for charging, and think of how much business all those jungle rubber plantations will have by producing the raw material for the elastomer.

        Ah, but it requires some thinking and that doesn’t appear to be one of She Guevara’s abilities.

He was never on the inside, but his “boss” always threw enough crumbs on his plate to make him think himself an insider. Any info he spouts from “insiders” was given to him by those with an agenda. The takeaway is that the info he gets fits his narrative, namely that he is on the outside and it must be someone else’s fault. So as long as the info he’s fed fits his narrative with just enough proof to believe it he can be counted on to regurgitate.
          He’s not been talking to his old boss about any of this or he would have said so in his “musings”. Right now he’s spouting off what some in the lpc might be thinking.
          He’s still playing the part of the usefully naive individual but he’s on the outside and he places the blame on the supporters in the PMO.

  11. The catholic church has been the go to repository for homosexuality for centuries. Their practices are now on display for all to see including the faithful who put their trust in the institution.

    The church hierarchy has been loath to admit to their vile conceit and it is now too late. They still hold tenuous sway in the uneducated 3rd world but that is ending as everyone now has access to the net.

    No amount of apology can rid the church of it’s odious practices.

    However, Black Caviar never lost a race, won a Newmarket with top weight in record time and won the Diamond Jubilee at Ascot in her only overseas run.

  20. Just saw “Darkest Hour” the portrayal of Churchill dealing with the appeasers in his midst trying to arrange a Munich do-over.

    The parallels with Never Trumpism and the opposition Churchill faced struck me, who’s worst foes were also from within.

    Both of these leaders emerged because the place was a mess, and someone needed to blow government up and start over again.

    Granted one was an existential war and the other a sovereignty struggle, each came to power to reverse course on ineffective governance, the progressives on one hand and the appears on the other.

    It got me thinking the Democrats are approaching Trump all wrong. Everybody knows their ideas are ridiculous.

    They should give Trump what he wants, let him solve all the problems like Churchill did for Britain (and the world), then just like Winnie, turf the bellicose Trump after he solves the state. Then yell “we’re back” and get the swamp topped up asap.

    1. I saw them at the old Stampede Corral in Calgary in 1978. My ears were ringing for the next 3 days. A week later, I saw the Eagles at McMahon Stadium, but I brought earplugs along.

        The Beach Boys rushed through and were done in 60 minutes. We witnessed a dancer hydroplaning on the stage. She went down, kaplunk! Poor thing looked embarrassed, but like the pros that they are, the show went on. As far as sound goes a few pieces isn’t too bad, but a large band close by is impossible. If I go to a concert now I like the nose bleed section, far and up away from the crazy people is fine, ha!

        Umbrella man smiled at me!

      These guys are in a league of their own.

      I Get Around is still one of my personal favorites. When I hear it I always think back to my old high school band. We’d finish a gig and go eat at this dive that had a juke box. 3 spins for two bits ha.

        Brian Wilson, 76, is still at it. Check out this song he wrote called “Run Away Dancer” from 2015 in an album entitled “No Pier Pressure” which features Sebu Simonian. I liked this song after I heard it a couple of times, it sort of grows on you. I had this concert recorded – of the whole album from a PBS Show 3 years ago. It was quite enjoyable. The comments after this vid are a mixed bag, some like it, others don’t.

        I erased the show now and hope to catch it again as I can’t find Sebu on line doing “Don’t Worry Baby” which was very sweet! This singer seems to have disappeared, unfortunately.
