    1. I read the young man’s comment. I’d be proud to be his father. He was calm, true to his beliefs, and mindful of his role – his duty – to his school and his friends and his religion.

      That sense of duty is missing within many Canadians today. They are far too many who see the government as a piggy bank, there to pay their way, without recognizing their duty in return to the country, and to its values. I went to a boys school, and I remember feeling each time I put on my school blazer and tie, that I had to represent the school now. I couldn’t act like a normal teenage lout until I went home and put on my jeans. I felt that sense of a moral standard beyond one’s own didn’t seem to exist as much today, but this young man’s actions, and his thoughtful response, shows me that it is still there, at least in the US.

Opus Dei and his ultra conservative Catholicism utterly DESTROYED his life.

    Don’t lose sight of the fact that malignant and depraved adult activists targeted and set up children to be villified and demonized by the media, their neurotic crackpot minions, and ankle biting celebrity media whores. The MSM utterly failed to detect this and didn’t correct it until they were exposed. Did any media outlet either hold off or try to get the story right? I have seen some photographs purporting to be Covington students in black face but it looks like kids painted in their school colors. Unfortunately or conveniently, the photograph is in black and white.

    If you see something weird and you can do so, use your own video recording camera or phone. You may save some innocents from the hysterical lynch mob.

    Some of the stuff directed at these children is vile and deranged; the media has been negligent and bears some responsibility for this. I hope that the participants can be identified and sued.

  35. I think the media should look at what’s gone terribly wrong in J-schools rather than spending their time attacking high school students. Accusations and self-righteous condemnations were made with zero effort to fact check the video footage they received. Journalists, as a group show, shocking levels of incompetence.

    If journalism sees free press rights come under attack, this kind of “reporting” will be Exhibit A. Just like you’re not allowed to shout fire in a crowded theatre (without a fire) because of the risk to human life, maybe it should also be illegal for journalists to shout “get that bigot” in the public square. Journalists know damn well that the progressive mob will furiously attack the target with death threats, attack their families, jobs, schools, friends and tear their life apart.

    At some point people will naturally wonder if it is necessary to curb press rights before idiot reporters get innocent people killed. Reporters that endangered the safety of underage teenagers in their rush to condemn him and his classmates as “racists” is about as incompetent, unprofessional, immoral and unethical as it can get.

    Those kids had a very close call. I hope everyone takes a step back and realizes how lucky those kids were that the unedited video was located and recovered. That tells the tale. You can be sure without that video evidence those kids would be persecuted indefinitely and their town turned into Ferguson MO. The media would have scuttled any exculpatory evidence and vilified any eye witnesses who did not corroborate the narrative.

    1. I don’t know the details of how the original video was recovered, but I’d like to, if anyone comes across the story. Though he/she is a hero it is probably better to be anonymous; I would guess a whole lot of malicious people have zero interest in the truth and would have disappeared the unedited video if they could have.
