The results were as follows:
Confidence in the Prime Minister: 200
No Confidence in the Prime Minister: 117
Majority: 83
Her win is being spun in many different ways. May loyalists claim that the result strengthens her position, as she gained one extra vote compared to the number of Tory MPs who initially voted for her during the leadership election. Jacob Rees-Mogg and the Brexiteers, however, see it quite differently.

So she’s safe at least until this time next year, since party rules prohibit the caucus trying again in less than a year. And at that point they’ll be not more than three years from their next General Election and she said she won’t run again, so depending on how she gets on with the Brexit the rebel faction may be content to just wait her out. But there are other things that can persuade a politician to leave office, no telling how it will go in that three years. Theodore Dalrymple has an explaination of why such a mediocre person became PM:

“You will be lucky to get this man to work for you.”
Reminds me of a story, set in India during the Raj I believe, wherein a particularly mendacious Indian employee requested a reference from a home-bound Englishman.
Knowing that a poor submission would simply get trashed, the Brit wrote what superficially appeared to be a glowing endorsement ending with “If you ever give this gentleman a berth make sure it’s a wide one”.
Sadly, I suspect that Brexit is dead.
It can’t be dead! That means that people who refuse to accept the will of the people have won their battle and no election, nor plebiscite, is safe ever again. It mustn’t be allowed to happen.
Running out the clock on the people … denying their votes … all perfectly bureaucratic. The cold revolution will heat up in the face of such despicable maneuvering.
That is what our friends near Southampton are afraid of. May has sold them down the river.
May is engineering the globalist desire for “divorce with bed privileges”. If you think Brexit is screwed up now, wait until you see the finished product!

And she’s off to Brussels for more time to bring British patriots and Ulster loyalists to heel.
She won’t get it, of course.
The EU’s ultimatum remains just that: if Britain will not accept vassalage or agree to hand over Ulster to the Dublin globalists, Britain will be starved into submission.
Walk away and prepare for another war with Germany, prime minister.
Walk away and prepare for another war with Germany, prime minister.
Do you seriously think that the British Muslims and German Muslims will go to war with each other? Not likely.
I see the person named at the top of the list to replace May is the Home Secretary Sajid Javid. His family is from Pakistan (where else?) and he is married to a non-Muslim and practices no faith.
Can’t see a war in Britain’s future.
Take a look at what the electorates of the great democracies have served up as leaders. What a pathetic bunch. A few exceptions in the countries that were recently under communism, but on the whole, truly miserable fare.
“Can’t see a war in Britain’s future.”
Be assured there will at minimum be chaos and potentially civil war at some point in Britain’s future.
When the Euros request UN Peace keepers to restore the shit storm they have coming I can only hope that Canada and the USA sit this one out. Germany is the only country in the EU that lends any credibility and now their banks are going under.
Laughable that progressives point the finger at POTUS Trump for world instability when the inevitable EU collapse will likely be the Black Swan that triggers a fiscal crisis which will dwarf 2008. Who has run Europe for the past 75 years other than progressives.
CT – No question the EU experiment is coming to a close. Round two of their financial crisis is upon them. They will not survive.
I agree with your Black Swan analogy.
Europe will go back to the tribes. Germans hate the Dutch, Finns hate Swedes, Poles hate Russians the Fwench are universally despised and on it goes.
abtrapper – ct. Agreed on the coming demise of the EU, it was inevitable was it not.?? Pensions/Retirement kicking in at ~50 at Monthly rates that would astound Canadians. Those that actually do work are given an annual Paid Vacation on top of their salaries. (4-5 weeks I believe). All the while a dropping brithrate thanks to feminism and all the rest of the Multi-Cult Progressive BS reducing the $$$ coming in. At some point it had/has to break….?? The “THATCHER effect”. (when ya run out of others money). NO surprise there….and given JustDims foreign Largesse-Globalist desires here in Canada, we will soon be in an identical leaky dinghy.
As to the Germans hating the Dutch..? I would argue its the other way around my friends.
Whatever keeps Corbyn out of power. Even the EU is preferable to him.
