  3. You can read about his heroism in the book “Flyboys”, he was shot down on what can only be called a suicide mission, rescued by a sub within sight of a Japanese-held island, his buddies shot down and captured had their heads chopped off and their livers eaten by Japanese officers.

  8. He caused me to vote for Ross Perot. Because he clearly wasn’t interested in getting re-elected. Ran a half-hearted, lackluster, roll over and die campaign. Sheesh … why bother? This was the FIRST time I became aware of the GOPe and just how deep the Uniparty was embedded in America. It also paved the way for my Trump vote and support. THAT will be Bush Sr’s. legacy to me.

Both parties result in similar policy outcomes because it is a fake democracy where the media (AKA propaganda arm of the state), crony corporate interests and government institutions ensure no change. The “Uniparty Trap” is that you are lead to believe that you MUST vote for one side or the other to prevent the other side winnign; but it makes NO DIFFERENCE when both result in the same policy outcomes.

  11. GHWB successfully guided the US/West through the end of the Cold War. This is a significant accomplishment that will earn the respect of future, objective historians. He was a very good VP….resembling the way that Pence is a good VP today. GHWB’s ultimate weakness was his inability to go low or be vicious in his self defense. In an era without blogs or tweets, it was difficult for a decent man like GHWB to defend himself against a unified Dem/Hollywood/Media that was obsessed with punishing him for the successes of his essentially untouchable predecessor. He could’ve beaten that crass nobody from Arkansas had he run an aggressive, nasty campaign in ’92….but he by nature was above that. The fact that he became close friends with BillyJeff after all the low things he did and said during the ’92 campaign speaks volumes about GHWB’s character. I, too, wished he would’ve not run in ’92 – it was obvious his heart wasn’t in it – but he pressed on out of a sense of duty. May he rest in peace. (And to the nut jobs obsessed with the whole New World Order thing….please go die in a fire.)

Then his son wouldn’t have killed as many as a million innocent Iraqis and thousands of Americans in the Iraq War. Right was on America’s side in the Gulf War. Stupidity was on their side in the Iraq War.

    Staying unclassy, CKNW led off rttacking Trump, followed by another finger wag for the POTUS’s attendance at the G20, with Trump “snubbing,” Putin and hanging out with the Saudi king, his “fellow outcast,” not with the cool globalist statists.

    Even CBC had the decency to focus on Bush’s excellent relationship with our PM Mulroney.

The TBF could also, instead of a large torpedo, carry four small bombs, which GWHB and the other two lads deployed to destroy a Japanese communications station just before they were shot down. He was the only survivor.

    1. Interesting, I wasn’t aware the TBF Avenger was involved in the Battle of Midway with poor results, along with the TBD Devastators, with neither having fighter escort. But they kept Zeros wave hopping chasing and destroying them, leaving the way clear for the SBD Dauntless dive bombers to deal a devastating blow to Japanese naval aviation.

      Clearly the Avenger enjoyed more success later in the war. Yes an aside to the passing of Bush but still significant imho.

    It now falls to good Americans like President Trump to undo the damage he did.

    1. If GHWB was single-handedly masterminding the Global World Order, how’s come he couldn’t manage to achieve something so simple as his own re-election?

    2. Since every single time the Markets fluctuate it is no doubt the result of a conspiracy by the Global World Order – the details of which are of course at your finger tips, how’s come you’re not a millionaire?? I mean, since you know exactly when the Global World Order is going to crash the Markets, then why don’t you go short on everything? Oh, I know….you don’t want to play along with the Global World Order. OK….I get it. You know, the whole “compromising your morals” thing….
