3. I suspect that the world may have been a better place and Europe may not be dying had the Germans not lost the first battle on the Marne in 1914. We would just have to deal with German hegemony in Europe, which we already have. The death of Western culture essentially occurred at the first Battle of the Marne, six days in Sept that changed to course of the world.
