Poland is very likely to stay out of a United Nations pact promoting an international approach to safe and orderly migration, the country’s prime minister said Friday.
Mateusz Morawiecki said during a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Warsaw that national sovereignty and border protection were the issues behind Poland’s opposition to the migration compact.
She didn’t seem amused.

Takes on a whole new meaning now … doesn’t it?

“My people” in Poland have been sufficiently invaded in the past… I think it’s terrific they’ve found a spine in this regard. (and the other countries that have led in this regard).
I’ve read recently (no link) that if these countries that are “supplying” migrants were to lose 1/2 their inhabitants, those countries wouldn’t be any better off, that their problems are institutional, not structural (too many people), and the countries absorbing these migrants would be very much harmed.
I expect the same to happen when those Somalians from their virtually ungoverned people start to arrive en mass next year. The Canadian Liberals are set to destroy Canada. They’re not “on our side”.
How can you tell Merkel’s face went sour? (not joking at her perennial dour expression). Has she had a stroke? Is that expression from shit being coughed up daily?
Good for you, Poland! Hold your ground.
Poland knows very well the pain of lost sovereignty. Don’t lose it again!
If ever Poland folds on this it will be through opposition to Law and Justice party from within Poland. The more outsiders push, the more Poles are willing to gird up their loins and hold the line, they did that many times in the past.
Orderly Migration?
I am sure the Romans rolled out the red carpet to the Vandals and the Huns too. They brought diversity and new culture to Rome. That worked out so well.
Interesting, but not unexpected. Merkel is a joke, and her police force(s) are a joke too.
Relatives there say, due to concern of personal and female safety, local patrols are out there. Welcomed by the German people, and starting to be feared by Merkels immigrant leeches.
A proud, productive, fairly tolerant population, living in fear of no rules, come on in, we’ll pay your way, you don’t have to integrate or accept values of our nation.
Enough, and frankly, past due. It is a nation, it has values, and long past time to slam door and evict the leeches.
Those who have integrated, go to work, respect the nation that gave them refuge and sanctuary, welcome. Others however, plane/boat/train leaves tomorrow at 8 AM.
Take the nation you and your forefathers built back. Love it, add value, contribute, or bugger off. UN and EU or not. Congrats to Poland and others who are taking a stand.
Long past due.
….The Polish People know better than listen to Germans!
I regularly watch the Polish news. The governing conservative party PIS (Law and Justice) has strong support regarding immigration. They already have thousands of refugees from Eastern Ukraine that have relocated to Poland. This is rarely mentioned in Western media. This is probably because most private media outlets are owner by German interests. Often a story that is published by these German controlled media companies is immediately repeated in translated form (English / French etc…) to the news outlets that we can normally see in Western Europe and America.
Not only are the Poles wising up fast, but they have some killer musician in that country … check this out … speakers on loud.

<3 genialny numer! Dziękuję Ci.
Good for Poland. Hopefully it sticks to its guns on this issue and tells the EU and Merkel where to stick it (diplomatically of course).
Poland has more than its share of invasions in the past and has had only approximately 50 years as a sovereign nation since 1792.
Describing vivid events and unforgettable characters, a good read, despite it being an historical novel, is the book “Poland” by James A. Michener, published by Random House in1983. (556 pages)
It details the times and tribulations of three Polish families across eight centuries, ending in the then present day. (1983)
( Michener’s “Tales of the South Pacific” had a bit of humor by comparison…poor Polish people – as Ken (Kulak) says: “Poland has more than its share of invasions”….)
Poland’s story is that of survival against brutal odds, no wonder the current castrati from Brussels don’t scare them.
Poland knows that it will enjoy the enrichment of White Flight from Germany in years to come.
Many Ukrainians have fled for Poland. In the interview I saw the Poles made it very clear that they will welcome Christians, albeit their reasons for flight isn’t the same reason as that of the Germans.

I wonder what miGRANTion is.
gawd, now we have to be concerned about basic ‘speling’ to get to the truth.
Kudo’s to Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia….. all run by common sense folks – Folks who have Zero Desire for freeloading Scum to rape and pillage their nations..
There an be no other description as to what has transpired in Sweden, France, Germany, Austia, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and to an extent in Greece and Italy by perdominately Sub Saharan & Middle Eastern Filth.
This sentiment is buillding in Canada…as it is in the US who are currently under seige by a Well FED, Well Looked after (whos paying for that eh.??), , Well Led 8000 strong Invading army of mostly young military age men.
Said Caravan is all (IMO), a UN led – George Soros inspired (& perhaps DNC-HRC sponsored) Open Society Bullshit….nothing more & nothing less.
Up here we have the Somali Imposter (Achmed Hussein), touting his irregular immigration near daily (Open border), and calling for 450,000 per year of his brethern to come here..with ZERO concern for Canada or Canadian Citizens of course.
And in a Month, the vacuous pissante aka Prime Minister Trudeau will go to Europe and sign us up on this Global Migrant Stupidity…Fkn Lovely.
..and some thought he was doing this for us…..??
Yes … those countries paid a high price once before, as we all know. They don’t care what people think of them, as they choose to do what is right for them on their own territory, with their own language and culture. They are to be admired. At 2:36 our fellow bloggista Colonialista said it well, ” current castrati from Brussels don’t scare them.”
The Compact is accessible on the web. I had a little read of it and here’s how it looks to me. It’s understandable why countries wouldn’t want in. Governments like Merkel’s that try to sell it as “strengthening national sovereignty” are being, er, disingenuous.
Objective 5 commits signatory states to “adapt options and pathways for regular migration” and items 21 b, c, d, f, g, and i derogate from national sovereignty over migration.
Objective 7 commits signatory states to assist vulnerable migrants and items 23 a, b, h, i and l derogate from national sovereignty over migration.
Objective 8 commits signatory states to recognize the prohibition of collective expulsion (at item 24 a), and extend the state’s responsibility for migrants to migration routes outside its territory (at item 24 b).
Objective 9 commits signatory states to “ensure that migrants shall not become liable to criminal prosecution for the fact of having been the object of smuggling” (item 25); item 25 c commits signatories to “assist smuggled migrants”, notwithstanding that smuggled migrants are attempting to enter illegally.
Objective 11 commits signatory states to review and revise their laws with a view to reducing sanctions against illegal entry (item 27 f).
Objective 13 seeks to have signatory states “use immigration detention only as a measure of last resort” and “for the shortest possible period of time”. Items 29 a and c commit signatories to implement “non-custodial measures and community-based care arrangements” and not to use detention as a deterrent to migration. Item 29 d commits signatories to “free or affordable legal advice and assistance of a qualified and independent lawyer…and the right to regular review of a detention order”, which can only be at the expense of the signatory. Item 29 h commits signatories to “ensure access to education and healthcare” for child migrants.
Objective 15 commits signatory states to “ensure that all migrants, regardless of their migration status, can exercise their human rights through safe access to basic services” (item 31) effectively compelling signatory states to provide basic services to migrants that enter illegally.
Objective 17 commits signatory states to “eliminate all forms of discrimination, condemn and counter expressions…of…xenophobia and related intolerance against all migrants” contrary to the human right to freedom of expression (item 33). (Freedom’s not for the speech you like; it’s for the speech you don’t.) Item 33 a commits signatories to “enact, implement or maintain legislation that penalizes hate crimes” (because in that world it’s worse to commit a crime when you “hate” the victim than when you don’t — the other crimes are just business, as Tessio found out); item 33 c to interfere with press freedom (despite a representation that it be “in full respect for the freedom of the media”); item 33 g to engage citizens “to detect and prevent incidences of intolerance”, infringing on freedom of conscience — thought police and snitches.
Objective 20 commits signatory states to enable and promote the flow of money as remittances to countries of origin (item 36); and in item 36 d to “apply tax exemptions or incentives to remittance transfers” and so treat income earned in the state and remitted overseas more favourably than income earned by citizens.
Objective 22 commits signatory states to provide portable social benefits to migrant workers extra-territorially either in the migrant’s country of origin or in a third country where the migrant is working (item 38).
Objective 23 commits signatory states to fund other states’ implementation of the objectives, explicitly directed to lower-income countries (item 39).
