At least Fox did us the service of listing the story under “Entertainment”, because obviously no serious analyst would make that comparision unless instilling fear to shill for votes.

A young Baldwin was delightful in the 1990 movie “Miami Blues”, playing a very nasty ex-con on a crime spree in Miami, Fred Ward was really good as the tough old detective on his trail and Jennifer Jason Leigh had a wonderful role as the simple-minded young hooker who pairs up with Baldwin and tries to make a “little cottage with a white picket fence” home life with him while he tears up the streets of Miami on a violent spree. Lots of dark humour, kind of an unknown under-rated movie…
“A what died?” …. “Somebody broke the finger off a Hare Krishna… and the son of a bitch died”.
Baldwin’s ego is / was too big for the parking spot. Now he’ll never get any. If he’d learn to be a gentleman he’d have earned ten future parking spots! Id est: ” the meek shall inherit the Earth!”
Will Calgarians want to see him now?
Will the ” Alex Baldwin Show” survive now?
Probably.
But… looks don’t really matter, it’s good character that does.
Will Baldwin grow up now?
Probably not.

I wasn’t aware of this event in Calgary. I don’t know why the Owen Hart Foundation would have invited such a polarizing and mean spirited man. They say they’re “shocked” of these charges but were they unaware of his past history? And did they think one of the most popular Trump haters would go over here in Calgary? Maybe so. Calgary’s changed.
Baldwin supports 27 charities according to Wikipedia, see link below at 1:54 am. Towards the end of the longish link there’s the list. Though the Hart Foundation is not on it, he probably has spoken at so many of these type of events.
Like many of us over the years, I too, have seen him in interviews, and he can be quite charming. I never saw “30 Rock” nor much of what he’s done other than S.N.L. imitating Trump ( so, so ) and I saw one half of one episode of his new interview show ( The Alec Baldwin Show). In it, he got Robert DeNero to talk (not an easy task) and they were both quite charmed with one another, as Socialists can be. He is aptly named: “Smart Alec”.
I am, in no way, defending him. He does have an explosive temper. It is unprofessional for an actor, and he has outgrown the ‘bad- boy’ label at 60 years old, but not the actions of one.
