From “Exasperated“:
I don’t have any idea how the election will turn out. When I went to bed in Nov 2016, I thought HRC would be the 45th president. It is just stunning to me that the Left believes it is all about Trump, and not about the rejection of our “betters”.
It ISN’T just the sneaky, behind the scenes underhandedness or the nepotism and the ineptness, ala Gruber, Ben Rhodes.
It ISN’T just that the “Rules are for thee, but not for me.” Hillary is the poster child.
It ISN’T just about the useless top heavy, regulatory state, serving the entrenched interests, and favored Special Interests, while suppressing growth and American competitiveness.
It IS about the willingness to denigrate and demonize the working aspirational Middle while stiffing them, people whose only crime is their increasing alarm over their own livelihoods and the future standard of living for their children. I guess they are just not down with their children being leveled to third world subsistence agricultural workers. Think where we all would be if these people had their way on Energy Independence. The Middle would be on its knees.
The Dems offer the cargo cult solution: handouts, subsidies, fake make work jobs that do not grow the pie. If we give you the accoutrements of the Middle Class, you will be the Middle Class. Sheesh. What is the economic rationale of a college education without worthwhile jobs. Republicans imagine everyone in the middle will become entrepreneurs, cattle trading speculators in the future’s market, join the military or ricochet between amazing dead end temp service jobs.
In addition, it is a big cost shifting scam involving K-Street, the government, media, even academia, foundations, NGOs etc. They get all the gain, but they offload the pain, by shifting the cost of their failures and misadventures onto the public. In other words, they privatize the gain, but socialize the pain. Meanwhile, the charities, foundations, and other non-profits game the tax code. As Eric Hoffer has pointed out, many worthwhile causes become movements, then businesses, and eventually turn into rackets.

And our prime minister believes he can fix the world by taking our money and then handing a portion back to who he thinks deserves it…
You just described the thieves of the Liberal Party of Canada. The Nannystatists who don’t care about the costs of their misadvantures while saddling the public with their debts.
People, never buy a Chrysler, Jeep or Fiat product, they just stiffed this country for over $2 Billion, thanks to Liberal largesse, protecting their Unifor friends. Hello Jerry Dias. Oh, yeah, it’s a different company now, how silly to saddle them with that debt!
What proportion of society makes their way ‘managing or interrupting’ societal values to the masses? They don’t actually add value but are actually an ‘expense’. Accountability is the most feared word to these people as it actually questions what they bring to the table. Government workers whether employed or elected are obvious examples. These people exist throughout society and yes, business, is not exempt. These people exist in ALL of the political parties.
CT, exactly, and many in here keep gum bangin about the left. Look at John Tory and P Brown, neither any better than the libtards
Exactly.
This was a great comment. I used a part of it for a FB post to highight where Trudeau continually pontificates about ALWAYS working for the “middle class’ while behind the scenes and in policy one can see he is working alright, to destroy the Middle Class. NOT One policy has come out of that Disgusting morass of BS known as Parliament that could rightly be counted as “helping Canadian Middle Class”……….
…UNLess of course it is to accelerate our DEMISE as he creates his TRANS National State.
THAT I fully buy.
Great comment, the left truly feels like these people just don’t count.
But when they show up at the ballot box, Republicans go from being behind in all of their polls, to being up by a touchdown.
Same thing is coming up in the midterms, and as someone else said, it will be the Kavanaugh mobs times ten.
“But when they show up at the ballot box, Republicans go from being behind in all of their polls, to being up by a touchdown.”
Except in Alabama or any of the other special elections the GOP have been steadily losing. The polling data is clear: it’s gonna be gory.
Western democracies are being undermined by their leviathan bureaucracies. Demorats & Lieberals work by empowering them evermore, by accelerating the neo-Marxist march toward the irreversible Socialist Totalitarian State.
The majority of the urban middle class are useful idiots who trade their freedom for short term comfort, their wealth for false security and their privacy for group think madness.
The populations will increase, the garbage, the real pollution, the crime and disease will increase and the politicians will demand evermore to “solve” the problems they in fact create. Its a vicious circle of shit.
I wasn’t certain that Trump would defeat HER … but I had a hunch (you all, esp. Gord Tulk, might remember my early-adoption Trump support?). Romney lost to Obama by a narrow margin (because evangelicals wouldn’t support a 1% Mormon, IMHO). A big chunk of America lost their Doctors, and lost their Healthplan. And had to pay +$2,500 instead of -$2,500 as promised. Obama’s new normal sucked for most of America … and SHE promised to keep delivering the same. And SHE hid from America … until … HER mask slipped a little and SHE told us all what SHE really thought … that we are all deplorable. All these things contributed to my hunch.
I have had a similar hunch about the mid terms … about the same time I heard of the “Blue Wave” coming. Why would a Blue Wave be coming? Because Trump Tweets that a filthy whore has a horse face? Sorry, I don’t believe that moves the needle when Trump has put more $$ into the pockets of EVERY American. And listening to Obama take credit for the Trump economy in Nevada this morning … desperately lending his half-a-minority 1%-er voice to gin up the Blue Wave … doesn’t bode well for the “Blue Wave”. Speaking to a bussed-crowd of SEIU Unionistas half heartedly clapping in Obama’s uh-uh-uh-uh pauses … isn’t gonna move the needle BLUE. Nope.
Art Laffer admitted (on Varney this morning) that Trump has done better than Reagan with the economy, and called Trump the most significant POTUS since FDR. Remember that Laffer was Reagan’s chief economist. Americans tend to vote their pocketbooks (with the exception of Obama’s re-election – something about being half a minority). I simply cannot believe that Americans will vote for a return to the Obama-malaise. Oh sure, some Districts are already dyed BLUE, and Trump’s policies will have no impact among these people.
I predict Trump’s America will be vindicated through this midterm election, thus reversing the trend of a typically FAILED POTUS Political Party getting beat up in the midterm. Most (barely 50%) of Americans aren’t STUPID. I believe they will be sufficiently motivated to turn out and vote for their own bank accounts. Because personal economics are driven by the survival instincts our DNA donors learned on the African Veldt
Kenji, re your comment about obama’s crowds; Here’s a photo of his crowd size ( highschool gym, if I remember correctly )
https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Obama-Crowd.jpg
Notice obama is already at the mic, so it’s not a photo, from before all the crowd was seated.
And where’s the wide angle shot? FAKE photojournalism is as nefarious as FAKE written and verbal reporting.
You don’t need a wide angle shot, just some deductions from the photo.
Point, they put his seat in the middle of the floor (there are only ten rows or so of seats on the floor in front of him.) It is fairly obvious that there is hardly anyone behind him.
Point, the second most desirable seats would be in the bleachers in front of him. There is literally only a dozen people there.
Conclusion: outside of the seats immediately in front of him shown in the photo, there is hardly anyone else in the gym. I’d put the people in those seats at about two hundred. So the total number would be three hundred max.
Trump goes to Texas to help Cruz, who he insulted, and 78 thousand people sign up to go to a venue that holds 18 thousand people. This was the same story when he was running for president yet the media ignored the enormous crowds he was getting. Stupid is a six letter word that the media needs to learn how to spell.
OWG, they need to write that word on their mirrors, to remind them who is stupid!
“Romney lost to Obama by a narrow margin”
It wasn’t narrow.
“Art Laffer admitted (on Varney this morning) that Trump has done better than Reagan with the economy”
He hasn’t. Reagan inherited stagflation and weaved into gold with a gold standard and other supply side policies. Trump is weaving higher costs with protectionism and massive deficits. He inherited a trend to higher growth. Laffer is a bit of a laugher himself he was one of the Pollyana’s claiming no housing bust back in 2007. Oops.
To clarify …
http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2012-general-election-romney-vs-obama
I was referring to the polls just prior to the election which indicated Romney/Obama were neck and neck … then … the 37% comment was leaked … GOTCHA!!
Yeah … Trump’s launching of the Dow from 18k to 26.8k … was all Obama’s doing. I didn’t even bother to read the rest of your Laffer comment after the old yarn that Trump inherited a fabulous economy (read: new-normal malaise) … and since I already know you believe Supply-side economics is … voodoo economics. Meh.
Learn to comprehend graphs, tard. That graph makes clear Romney never had a chance. He could barely break even when he was on his high. He also had negatives that were as bad as Hillary’s. Romney was doomed from the get-go.
“Trump’s launching of the Dow from 18k to 26.8k”
There’s no evidence that was due to Trump, and much reason to believe it was in spite of him.
” I already know you believe Supply-side economics is … voodoo economics. ”
Learn to read, retard.
Actually the graph reads EXACTLY like every pre-election polling progression in recent history. At first … the Republican Candidate is polled to not stand a fucking chance of being elected dog catcher … then, slowly, and inexorably the Republican Candidate draws closer … until JUST BEFORE the election … in an effort to save face … the pollsters SUDDENLY discover the Republican Candidate is (almost) equal to the Democrap, er Marxist Candidate. Nothing hard to “read” about that.
And I don’t have the time to cite how close the swing states were to turning the election. You’re not worth the effort.
“I guess they are just not down with their children being leveled to third world subsistence agricultural workers.”
You think our masters need any more of those? Plenty more in Africa where the last lot came from.
No. The only thing we’ve got to look forward to if our masters have their way is being granted the dubious honour of digging our own graves before our replacements shoot us and toss us in.
I exaggerate slightly. A few of our grandchildren may be kept around—to be bred and used as sex slaves to be raped, tortured, murdered and even eaten by the elect, depending on what outrages give them the hardest erections.
Forget a boot in the face. The globalist future is a morbidly obese heir and successor of the globalist elite, furiously abusing himself with one hand and choking the life out of a child with the other—forever.
Remember throwing other people’s money at “problems” that benefit your base and cronies – is “wise.”
After all that works in real life, right?
I listened to the start of Mark Levin’s radio show today. He played some clips from Don Lemon on CNN. The MSM are now going full steam on Trump’s comment that he’s proud to be a “Nationalist”, though carefully defined what he meant by that word.
The MSM are now going to less than subtlety imply that Trump has announced that he is the new Hitler. Watch for it!
“The Dems offer the cargo cult solution: handouts, subsidies, fake make work jobs that do not grow the pie.”
And the Trump party offer the exact same thing alongside protectionism and even bigger deficits.
“It IS about the willingness to denigrate and demonize the working aspirational Middle while stiffing them, people whose only crime is their increasing alarm over their own livelihoods and the future standard of living for their children.”
Cry some more.
My country’s … protectionism … to counteract YOUR country’s … protectionism … isn’t protectionism.
Now who’s crying ?
When your battle cry is “Vote For Me And I’ll Give You Some Of His” sooner or later “He” wises up.
That’s the problem with globalism and all its ugly daughter isms. Eventually you run out of “his” money.
You don’t even know what ‘globalism’ is. It’s just a canvas for you to project your weird sexual fantasies onto.
You know very well what it is.
It is the teaching that our master class have the right to rule the world, immune from all law, human or divine, and free to do whatever they please. To be as gods. It is the ideology of hell itself.
It’s not money they want—they have more than they could ever spend. They want to be free to plumb depths of depravity, sexual and otherwise, limited only by their imaginations, in full confidence that they will get away with it. They already regularly gangrape and murder children at secret orgies held on private islands. They hope one day to do it openly.
If it sounds like lunacy, it is. But they are the ones who belong in an institution for the criminally insane. Not I.
You say that like you believe Spirit Cooking is a bad thing … ;P
