When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Enemies of the people.

Judge Ellis in Manafort Case Denies Dox-Factory CNN’s Demand for Juror Information; Says He Himself Has Been Threatened, and The Jurors Would Be As Well…

I’m on the road this weekend, so catching up as best I can in the limited time available — there’s more at Instapundit.

“Why do you suppose seven news organizations–all liberal, presumably–wanted to know who the [Manafort trial] jurors are and where they live? They are worried that the jury, having heard the evidence, may not render the ‘right’ verdict, i.e., the one that helps the Democratic Party. So they want to know who the jurors are so they can apply pressure on them through mob action, newspaper denunciations, online harassment and so on. This is how today’s Democratic Party operates. If the jury fails to render the Democrats’ preferred verdict, what do you suppose Maxine Waters will suggest Democrats should do to the jurors if they venture out in public?”

    1. They may be worse. I don’t remember the mafia openly threatening the judge.

It’s a nice little law court you got here. We hate to see anything happen to it because you don’t do the right thing.

  1. This is a another skirmish in the so far cold civil war that is occurring. Maxine knows this is war. Most don’t yet.

  2. Wow!
On Thursday the print arm of the USA MSM is assuring us that Donald Trump is wrong for saying that fake news is the enemy of the people. MSM is in fact, as pure as the driven snow.
On Friday both national print and video MSM are asking for the names and addresses of jurors while they are still deliberating a tax fraud case that has ties however tenuous, to Donald Trump.
That they think they should be given that information is certainly news and not of the fake variety. The USA MSM as enemy of the people, that’s looking pretty real too. The Canadian version isn’t very far behind.

    1. It used to be called disinformation, and when intentional misinformation, until Trump reversed Hillary’s fake news comments.

I think he stood too close to her at that time too.

Perhaps Demedia neoMarxists hoped the chill of being doxed was enough to deter jurors from reaching the “wrong” verdict.

  3. I like the term “Dox-Factory CNN” used by the writer in the posted article. That term made my Saturday.

I wasn’t that interested in the Manafort trial, but reading the blogs’ coverage over the past number of days, now I am interested. The verdict could go either way, but if Manafort is found innocent, the corporate media cartel will explode in anger. So will Mueller and his Democrat cronies.

    1. There are (I understand) 18 counts under consideration by the jury. That’s no small task for jury to undertake. I feel confident that some counts will result in “guilty” while others will not…… mixed results. This will not appease the MSM. They will find a willing juror (what’s a few thousand dollars for an exclusive interview) who will say that he was outvoted or some similar thing, implying that the verdict was wrong. Then we’ll await the sentencing. That will be another “controversy”. Another news cycle.

It’s a familiar pattern and painful for me to watch.

      1. You know … I am rather egalitarian by philosophy … but with every idiotic, emotionally/politically driven jury award after another … I’ve started to believe we need “professional” juries of our “peers”.

      2. Yes, good points, but I would add each of the 18 counts require a unanimous verdict, and the judge has told them they have to connect the dots themselves without the prosecution flow chart which they asked for. Reasonable doubt anyone?

Even if they return not guilty on all charges, this thing is nowhere near over for Manafort. The Mueller operatives would surely appeal on the grounds Judge Ellis was mean to them about their joke of a conspiracy theory and hurt their feelings.

There are other charges pending against Manafort, so I guess he stays in solitary like any criminal enemy of the state.

        1. There was a thing on Drudge yesterday saying that the prosecution has 3x more ‘new’ evidence for the next trial of Manfort. All stuff not yet seen by the jury, so they will hang him, the only question is how long it will take to get a compliant jury, or so it appears.

        2. They are certainly trying to get him to commit perjury against President Trump with the threat that he’ll be in prison for the rest of his life, but he could be anyway if he gives them what they want. Perhaps their threat is not scary enough. If convicted he could be pardoned as soon as President Trump is re-elected (or if defeated, as unlikely as that is.)

  4. …and they wonder why all the polls are wrong

Who in their right mind would tell some stranger over the phone………

  5. It is opined that jurors did not get a chart during the trial, to connect what evidence, with what charges. So they may get a bit confused.
Did the “Persecutors” try to throw this case? Grounds for appeal maybe?
At $1000/hr you may as well print the money yourself.

  6. If CNN obtains and then publishes names and addresses, Antifa will know where to go to harass, threaten and beat up people.

After that other people when they find themselves in jury duty will be scared to do something that will make CNN send Antifa at their house to beat them up.

If you read the history of the KKK you will find out it was created to do something eerily similar to what CNN is doing; to make people scared of doing anything the democrats may not agree with.

The KKK was created to detrone the very popular republicans ( blacks back then were republicans )

CNN and Antifa are doing the same, minus the lynching…for now.

  7. “…minus the lynching…for now.”

Not far behind if the likes of Maxine Waters get their way.

  8. Hopefully someone in the jury understands jury nullification and also understands that Manafort’s supposed crimes are primarily political. If he is found not guilty, Trump should do some polling, and maybe pardon him on the outstanding charges.

  9. I’m actually starting to wonder if this prosecution isn’t in fact “fruit from a poisoned tree”.

Oh who am I kidding…of course it is.

  10. Personally, I think Manafort is a piece of human debris that deserves to spend an exorbitant amount of time behind bars, as does the primary witness in the case(s), Gates. The problem is that a conviction will be used to club the current administration over the head even though the crimes being tried are prior to any involvement with the Trump campaign, and have absolutely nothing to do with the “Russian Collusion” nonsense.

A dismissal/not guilty verdict will really damage further the credibility and validity of the Special Counsel. But, that’s rational speaking which doesn’t apply to the emotional support received from the Left.

Short answer: I don’t really care what happens in that trial.

    1. Orson, you should be real concerned as to out come. Fist they came for the Jews, but I’m not Jewish, then they came for the gays, but I’m not gay, then they came for the gypsies……………………………………….

      1. I’ll tell you what the real travesty was. It was Manafort being exonerated previously based on cronyism for the same crimes he’s being tried for now. The truth of the matter is that Manafort should have been locked up a long time ago. He’s a crook. He’s a tax cheat. He’s an opportunist who doesn’t let the law get in the way of making a good profit.

Let’s not get all dramatic and throw the over-used Martin Niemoller poem into the mix. Granted, the timing and apparatus used to indict Manafort is suspect. And, I don’t doubt that it was motivated with more of an intention to gain information on the President. But, I have no sympathy for him. Nor do I equate his “bad luck” with Niemoller’s eloquence. Flynn? Yes, that one fits your premise. This guy does not.

        1. Orson, I posted a link in “tips” a day ago or so. The article was about politicians and upper level bureaucraps getting and using insider info to enrich themselves. So Manafort is playing be their rules, sort of any ways. The whole bunch need to be prosecuted, and jailed. Not just one or two, the whole damn bunch!!!!

  11. The media who participated in publishing editorials about how wrong it was for Trump to call them the enemy of the people proved his point. They are all Liberal$ using their role and platform to further their political agenda. This is just their day to day tactics in action. If this trial falls apart, their whole manufactured collusion narative (thanks to Brennan, Clapper and Obama) falls apart. Then we are only left with the manufactured part which would be fun for the republicans to display to the voters before the midterms. This is really getting interesting..

    1. There’s no collusion….if there was, they wouldn’t resort to making up crap…and some democrat or republican would have leaked it a long time ago….hell, Muller would have leaked it himself

      1. Latitude: You are so right if there was Russian collusion we would have heard about along time ago, the same with the Amarosa tapes NO Story there either. She HEARD ABOUT a tape of Donald saying the N word. This women is out to make more money…I wonder how much the DNC is paying her!!! The American SWAMP needs cleaning up…..would be nice to see a few people in jail Brennan, Clapper and Obummer…cleaning up the FBI,CIA,NSA etc. CANADA is next…police smiling standing by while a photographer was punched in the face by an ANTIFA member…DID NOTHING!!!!

  12. You don’t think Antifa doesn’t already know where at least some of the jurors live? And that the media’s already fed them that info? This push to publish is only to cover themselves for when something does happen. They’re afraid that the enemy of the people will actually stick. They’ve unwittingly memed themselves.

  13. Next time I see in the news that some douche MSM journo gets his face shot off, I will hoist a pint to the schutzpah and accuracy of the gunman. These MSM types have been complicit in just about every terror attack since 9/11 attack, enabling amd providing ideological cover for enemy propaganda and disinformation operations.

    Remember Lord Haw-Haw?…

  14. The American (IRS) TAX code has interesting exceptions to normal criminal code… NOT Canadian or British rules
How many NYC gangster lawyers ( Mueller’s Crew) know TAX code…Regardless of the verdict civil lawsuits will dominate for a decade….

Any organized collusion of MSM (with insider info) is the enemy of the deplorable & ignorant public…
The dreamers of a Racial war MAY reap their worst nightmares

  15. The DeMarxists should be careful not to auto connect their totalitarian dots.

CNN tries to out jurors for consignment to the pillory and stocks.

The black shirts are funded by neo-Mussolinis.

Meanwhile witness the antics of the black ops megalomaniacs over at the very security apparatus Americans rely on for their safety, with the latest Bruce Ohr meanderings with Steele over “firewalls” and fear of being “exposed.”

I can’t wait for the explanation. Possible turning of witnesses. Why so quiet on the Lisa Paige front?

    Conjecture warning…

In order of importance in execution the save America from elections team consists of: Clapper, Brennan & Comey, Hillary, possibly Obama (with him possibly at the front of the line, or at least advised, as has been documented), Rosenstein, with Mueller in tow, Bruce Ohr and Strzok, Lisa Paige and Nellie Ohr, Sessions by his own stunning naivety,

Notice the DOJ/FBI linkage. Are we missing some dots over at the CIA? Perhaps that explains Brennan’s shrillness. Has he lost his cover to monitor investigations on himself? The free speech lark is silly. Brennan has no need to know so no legal basis to review classified material, but perhaps he had some help from within, but now retreating over his lost clearance?

I think it is time for an Independent Counsel (IC), somebody who will leave no stone unturned, including Grand Juries, with the same treatment for all, and fold the stalling Mueller party into and subservient to the IC, with the Manafort and other irrelevant matters turned over to local bureaus and courts. Get to the bottom of everything, with wide powers of investigation, but clearly delineated with a time to report, with an interim report available for voter review just prior to the midterm election date.

The neo-Jacobins (thank you Newt) would go absolutely bonkers. They always do but it would be “worse” this time.

Anyway, what fun is life it you can’t dream.

    1. Shamrock: Lisa Paige could have turned herself in and is singing the song, so we wait and see! I was wondering the same thing and speculating…hoping she did!

      1. ▪@4:17 p.m Lyn

        ” Lisa ..etc ….is singing the song”…etc

I heard on FOX NEWS that she was very cooperative, unlike Peter.

      2. Lisa Paige is a lawyer who is just a resource to the FBI agency… She has no reason to not tell the Truth… She had nothing to gain by covering Peter or Andy’s lies… She told the Truth & about Andy’s habit of writing his own Memos ….Jeff would have to be in the STUPID bin to not have a Grand-Jury humming… How deep does it go before we move on? I don’t think they want to uncover Brennan’s Russian Friends… Maybe Sid B’s & Hillary’s

  16. “This is how TODAY’S Democratic Party operates.”

Why do so many people bitterly cling to the obvious lie, that at some point, the Democratic Party was any different than it is today? I am flummoxed, cannot think of a reason for it. No rational explanation.

    This IS your Democratic party
This IS your father’s Democratic party
This IS your grandmother’s Democratic party
This IS the same party it always has been.

Just like any and all conservative parties in Canada, are dedicated to losing, long term.

You know the ones. Like the Saskatchewan Party. No matter how many laws BC breaks, or the length of time BC persists in lawlessness, still send “help”. That is not helping, it is enabling. This is not strategic, or tactical, it is just losing.
