    1. She probably gets government funding. How much research can she do on the very few instances of “islamophobia”?
      I guess it doesn’t matter as long as she keeps the narrative going. Would love to know about her funding, though, how much and from whom?

    1. Islam is the religion of peace. That’s why so many muslims are killing each other.

      The benefit won’t be what she does or says, but how it will unhinge the usual demographic that gets far too much credit from the establishment.
      The “demographic” to which I refer is the same type that Dave Menzies recent video captured.
      They define a racist as anyone that quotes facts that contradict their orthodoxy, coupled with inflated credentials, whose narrative provides an easily parroted point for a pandering politician.

    2. Toronto, like the rest of Canada, needs a majority of its population to not be afraid of speaking the truth, hearing the truth, and knowing the truth. As Mark Steyn puts it, politics is downstream of the culture. Our culture is rotten with attractive, comforting lies.

    You pay taxes to the city.
    The province.
    The federal government.
    School board.

    Basically, there are 350 hands out, and you keep voting to add hands. When people realize that they have been stupid their entire lives, that their parents, grand parents, and every ancestor they ever had was stupid for letting it grow for so long, then we can talk.

    Maybe when government employs 450% of the population of the country, one of you might realize that it was always your fault.

    A key reason premier Ford should abolish the council and put the city under control of a city manager answering to him, not the denizens of Toronto’s Muslim ghettos or their Librano business partners, and with a mandate to clean up the city. Faith would be great for that job.

    1. Sure she will get publicity out of it, but it should also galvanize discussion around big issues: illegal guns, gangs, immigration, housing costs. If that in the UK (the weirdly dressed one who wanted to block Trump) can get elected mayor, faith can too. I’ll bet she does very well.

If the Canadian constitution was worth anything, you’d be able to buy 24 beer in Medicine Hat Alberta and drive with it in the trunk of your car to Swift Current Saskatchewan knowing that interprovincial transportation of goods was well within the law, and that the federal police wouldn’t pull you over and steal your property from you because of “the law”.

    1. But a consumer can bring a truck full of liquor from Swift Current Saskatchewan to Medicine Hat Alberta. Alberta has no limit to consumer imports but they usually have the cheapest liquor unless the commies have fixed that.

      @Scar: funny thing recently there was a ranking of who has the most liberal alcohol laws in Canada carried out by either the CTF or CCF. Manitoba ranked highest, and was the only province with a positive score.

      1. That clearly makes no sense. I used to live in Manitoba but it was a while back. Alberta’s booze always was the cheapest and private liquor stores provide umpteen times the varieties.

        1. Actually, I haven’t found Alberta to be cheaper than Ontario. Quite the reverse, I’ve found the price of a half-litre can of beer higher – often by as much as 30-50 cents – than it is in Ontario. The same for wine.

          This rather surprised me, until I remembered that the LCBO was the largest single wine, beer and spirits purchaser in North America (the SAQ is second, I believe).* Add to that, I learned that while the Government of Alberta was out of the selling business, it still acted as some sort of warehousing/distributing middleman, effectively limiting the flexibility and pricing options of private vendors.

          * You might think the biggest would be in the US but no. That’s because 50 states equal 50 different alcohol dispensing regimes and none of the states have anything approaching an LCBO-style monopoly.

            Don’t forget about selection. Alberta definitely has it.

          2. Well, Pennsylvania has a slightly smaller population than Ontario so this might account for the LCBO position at the top (that, and possibly its absolute marketing monopoly in Ontario).

            The LCBO does have a rather comprehensive selection if you live in an urban area served by one of its large stores. That said, the range and selection are still probably outcomes of its sheer marketing size; it remains an annoying, price-fixing monopoly.

            Living in the Ottawa Valley, I mix and match my wine purchases between the SAQ and the LCBO; this improves the selection considerably, particularly for reds and rosés which are better represented on the Québec side.

            There are few bargains to be had though, and the SAQ is marginally more expensive than the LCBO, as you might well expect from such an overtaxed province.

            I lived in London, UK for several years. I dearly miss the decentralized British system where the wine merchants are free to select and price their offerings however they like, provided they pay the applicable licencing, duties and taxes upfront. I have yet to see any Canadian liquor outlet with a sign in the window like this:

            “BUY ONE BOTTLE OF X BRAND CHAMPAGNE, GET ANOTHER FREE!”

    That would be the same as Alberta. The government does not run the distribution system. One company does the vast majority of warehousing (for a fee) and a single brewery also does warehousing. If you think it is way to get rich, invest in a liquor warehouse in Alberta. I believe that any retailer is free to order anything from anywhere in the world and any manufacturer can place any product he wants in a warehouse. No risk is assumed by the warehouse and all sales are prepaid.
