The Dogwood Initiative has hired 200 people to attempt to influence this fall’s referendum on electoral reform in BC. They obviously want the greens to have a structural presence in the Legislature so proportional representation is their goal. If people know that American Foundation money is behind Canadian political campaigns, it might not turn out as the left thinks it will.

LindaL, all Canadians are socialist to some degree. Even when conservatives are elected they govern and spend much like liberals. The cost and size of government never goes down. I will expect nothing will change as it has not changed during my life. I was a card carrying, financial supporting conservative for decades. They were always a disappointment. I finally said no more and looked at my vote going to the person who more closely represented my moral and political values. Needless to say there were times I was unable to vote other than spoil a ballot. I do not think Canada will change, and the constant importation of third world welfare clients is going to be the final nail in the Canadian coffin.
