22 Replies to “President Calls To Congratulate Putin”

  1. You see, it is only bad if Trump calls Putin.
Dems and MSM know that the vast majority of people are afflicted by the 100 day memory rule and have forgotten about Obama also calling Putin congratulating him on an election and also about him whispering to the Russian VP on an open microphone about having more flexibility after the election. Can you imagine the furor if Trump would be caught saying the same thing.

  2. Kate, take a read of the book Peter the Great by Ian Grey and you’ll understand Vladimir Putin.
It will also help you understand why Donald Trump congratulated Vladimir Putin.
Donald Trump has succeeded both personally and politically in spite of all the forces arrayed against him. A good example is how he succeeded, real estate wise, in New York City, a city with some of the toughest politicians in the world with whom to deal.
Vladimir Putin has also not only survived but has also succeeded and prospered politically – and for many, many years – in spite of all that goes on in Russia (if you know what I mean).
In that context, if you haven’t already, I recommend a read of McMafia by Misha Glenny.

  3. What?
It is only a sin when one of the little people do it.
President Trump is not a Progressive God, thus he dare not extend human courteous to a fellow leader.
Only the Great Obamination may do so.
So saith the wisdom of our Presstitutes.
As the hysteria of TDS continues I find myself supporting Mr Putin…
Sure he is a X spy, killer, and all those other good things we are supposed to despise, however he fights and our Libtards hate him.
More than I can say for the parasites selling us down the river.
Given my current understanding of Progressive “Wisdom” anyone they hate and fear is my kind of people.
Seen any Green Peace activity in Russia, since their arrests?
Naturally any comment such as this draw predictable knee jerk reactions.
    Tough.
From my observations Putin and comrades look after what they see as Russias interests…That I should live so long as to see a Canadian Government acting in the interests of this nation..
If we are even a nation anymore.

  4. What a stupid move. For what reason? Putin won a fixed election?
Apparently Trump was advised not to do it but…..
I guess it’s my upbringing but I have little respect for Russia.

  5. Abtripper – did you even read the article? You assumed it was about Trump didn’t you?
Putin puts his nation first and I can’t fault him for that. maybe out “PM” should be taking notes.

  6. I didn’t need to read the article. I have no regard for guys like vlad.
I respect freedom and liberty. These are things vlad abhors. He’s the guy with the polonium who supports the Syrians with the nerve gas. He has said Stalin is one of his hero’s.
Sorry, anyone who operates like he does earns my scorn.

  7. Obama was wrong to call. So was trump. Putin had just murdered someone on the soil of an ally.

  8. I heard President Trump didn’t know he was being recorded and he let it slip to Putin that he would have “more flexibility” (whatever that means?) after he wins a second term… oh wait, no… oops, sorry my mistake, that was said by the half white guy black guy… member him? He was that muslim asshole who weaponized the State Department, the CIA, the FBI, the IRS, etc. etc… you know who I mean, he corrupted everything he touched, just like a Liberal, the Media adored him, real dumb guy who kept all his school records sealed, no he wasn’t a snowboard instructor, not that dumb, what was his name again, something with the word “bum” in it… oh yeah, Hussein… member him? Hussain Obum, yeah, that guy.

  9. I find it hard to believe that the Russians would use radioactive isotopes and nerve agents in the assassinations of relatively soft targets. Maybe in an Austin Powers sequel, but in real life? If the Russians can get close enough to poison these people, why use a poison that points back to them instead of just blowing up their car or shooting them and saying “It could have been anybody?”. I don’t have any love for Putin, but I wonder how much worse things would be in the world if a Russian version of Hillary was running things over there. Regardless, the U.S. can’t police Russia’s elections so the best bet is to practice diplomacy.

  10. They want known that it was them. Rare nerve gas and isotopes are proof that they did it.

  11. And on my funny little planet the benchmark North Sea Crude closed about $69.57
One half of what it was.
All of the petrostates, especially Russia and including Canada are taking a financial hammering.
Czar Vlad made a lot of plans for military buildup and adventurism based on oil rising past $140.
Venezuela oil production is cratering, Russia and OPEC are sticking to the production cuts and the price is still under $70.
Every dollar it does go up means lost market share to US frackers.
Vlad is in serous financial trouble at home and all his sabre rattling and strong man posturing are sounding increasingly hollow.
My tender little ears were bleeding after listening to the comments about Vlad from some members of the Russian diaspora.
They’re wondering if Vlad is desperate enougth to order nerve gas attacks in the UK as warning to the oligarchs to back off,
or whether some oligarch is confident enough to frame Vlad for a foreign attack as a step in destabilizing his rule.
Either way, no-one is seriously taking the election results ans anything but bovine manure and for Trump to congratulate Vlad for
winning is a pretty blunt way to rub Vlad’s face in it.
Trump does like playing with fire.

  12. I highly doubt most of Russian voters are little fairy pussy riot sjws. Most people there still have closer to traditional family values and don’t like the deviant culture destroying garbage that the other candidates were pushing.
Seems like quite a few conservatives over here want Putin gone so that Russia can start being leftist sjw loving fairy parade progressives. Because none of them rose in mass numbers to stop the decline over here. So might as well have Russia be more like us. Those of us here that would still have a family based, hard working society would have loved it if we had more values on our side than the bent over caved excuses for conservative Christians (might as well be leftists) we do have.

  13. AB, you’re forgetting the first rule of holes.
The point is that the story dates from 2012. With that in mind, why are you talking about Trump?

  14. “Putin puts his nation first and I can’t fault him for that.”
No Putin does not. He puts his own power and his place in the Oligarchy first. Putin murders Russians to maintain that power.

  15. It’s different this time. They’re not in charge. They just think and act as if they are. Power is their only concern.

  16. The Russian is hypersensitive when it comes to respect on the world stage. He’s born with this and loves a strong man to puff up his ego. Putin knows this inherently and plays to masses.
I think it would be foolhardy to try and mock Putin by congratulating him on his election win. He would see through this for what it is and I find it hard to believe Trump would attempt what would be a stunt.
A genuine congratulatory phone call by Trump is still stupid IMO.
I don’t know how involved with Putin Trump might be. Putin is reputed to be the richest man in the world and the oligarchs tentacles are far reaching. Perhaps Trump has fallen prey to Russian guile? A more likelihood would be Clinton avarice.

  17. “Donald Trump has succeeded both personally and politically in spite of all the forces arrayed against him. A good example is how he succeeded, real estate wise, in New York City, a city with some of the toughest politicians in the world with whom to deal.”
Trump inherited daddy’s money and advisors. His personal business forays have been disasters, and his accomplishments as president are few and largely terrible.

  18. Thanks for those no context sins of omission BS, Unsense, not to mention your obvious intellectual addling.
They are so lame, so leftist talking point riddled, they deserve no other response.
If you are trying to be funny, you failed miserably. If you were trying to be flippant or idiotic sounding, you succeeded as usual.
