Akin seems to have forgotten: Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Akin’s just doing and saying whatever is required to get a paycheck but he’s not different from most people that way and you get the sense he’s a little ashamed of it all.
Coren’s worse: he’s a conman and a huckster. He’ll do and say whatever is required to get a paycheck and be famous/notable/prominent but he is a vicious, mean-spirited man who takes glee in demonizing his opponents while always claiming the moral high ground: no matter what side of the issue he currently happens to be on.
Don’t be surprised if in 10 years Corenn’s back as a Roman Catholic with a ‘conservative’ talk show on tap.

Larry Arnn on Hewitt’s show this morning made a good point – pretty much all of the people trump has replaced he has replaced with better people.
Looked at that way turnover – although heavy – can be a good thing.
That’s because North Korea doesn’t “sack” people, except in the sense that after they’re execute by mortar shell or anti-aircraft gun, whatever’s left is probably hauled away in a waterproof sack.

Akin was a progressive even while with SunTV. Coren for some reason did a 180 degree turn to the dark side and now puts the “e” in prestitute.
Not what you used to expect from a “Chief Political Correspondent” from a news organization but this just adds proof that Journalism is dead. There was a day when this would of been frowned on but those days are long gone. Now it gets him a fist bump in the news room. I scrolled through his tweets and it wasn’t long where you see he’s re-tweeting the likes of Bill Maher and Jimmy Kimmel and you know who they’re obsessed about. Between his Trump hating and Trudeau loving, David Akin is not a serious journalist and should be treated accordingly. With relentless MOCKING.
Well, Akin and Coren were squishes when they were on Sun. There was a story about a lunch room supervisor in Quebec who lost her job because she told a student to stop eating like a pig when he was acting like a clown in front of his classmates. The gutless schoolboard caved to the media which claimed it was racism because the kid was an immigrant. I remember Coren shaking his head in disgust and saying “You NEVER humiliate a child”. Jesus, here I was, thinking all along that humiliation might just be a useful teaching tool. Besides, you have to wonder about a guy who changed religions like Elizabeth Taylor changed husbands. I expect he’ll end up a Muslim-of-Convenience one of these days.
And as for Akin, he couldn’t help rolling his eyes and shaking his head anytime someone suggested that the wild claims about apocalyptic climate change would be worth a bit of closer examination.
As several have accurately pointed out, for some people, principles aren’t a brake in a race to the sweetest sounding dinner bell.

Trump took a harsh tone with N. Korea during his first year. Now that Trump is switching from using a stick to using a carrot, he needs to change his team. Similar to a coach changing out the offensive line for the defensive line – different skill sets are needed. Politically, it also makes it easier for North Korea to come to the negotiating table if they don’t have to sit across the table from people that had offended them previously.
