Randy Hillier requests your help in removing vaping regulations from Ontario’s Bill 174.
Under schedule 3 of Bill 174 – Cannabis, Smoke-Free Ontario and Road Safety Statute Law Amendment Act, 2017, vape shops will be prohibited from displaying vape devices, components or juices, allowing their customers to handle vape products, or test flavours before purchase. This bill places further restrictions on areas of use, and where exemptions are made, those using vape products are forced to share spaces with those using traditional tobacco products.

The selective outrage (and restriction of Freedom) by the Nanny State should be HORRIFYING to every citizen. HORRIFYING !!!! The Horror … The REAL Horror.

meanwhile, pm selfie is facilitating the sale of weed
to teenagers. the government just doesn’t want any
competition as it transitions to being the continent’s
biggest dope dealer.

Yes, go figure.
My wife and I had medicals this last week and our family doctor asked a new question he hasn’t asked before. He asked if we used mary jane?
Ontario is truly the worst. They even managed to screw up MJ legalization. At least Quebec has private health insurance, good liquor laws (or so I’ve heard), and their fiscal house is in surprisingly good order. Why would anyone live there?
Quebec’s finances are in “good order” – look at the money they are getting from
Equalization and other entitlements and federal transfers.
Randy Hiller is the only true conservative in the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party.
it is starting to look like anarchy would be a good thing. get rid of all government and get back to freedom. survival of the fittest as it were. i am sick of moron bureaucrats telling people how to live and what to do.
There is absolutely no reasonable explanation for denying legitimate vendors (vape stores) the right to display their products and services. None! This is the nanny state run amok in a pathetic attempt to appear progressive and health conscious. There is also no reason to lump vaping in the same boat as tobacco smoking when it comes to restrictions on where these activities may take place as both activities are markedly different. Once again, the nanny state’s insatiable appetite for control overpowers common sense.
It doesn’t take a genius to come up with the conclusion that big government is under tremendous pressure from big tobacco and big pharma to take drastic steps to kill or at least slow down the burgeoning electronic nicotine industry. We desperately need more politicians with common sense and backbone. Mr. Hillier seems to fit the bill. Unfortunately, he appears to be part of a very small crowd.
“We desperately need more politicians with common sense and backbone”
or just a hell of a lot fewer politicians!!!!
I’m sure that we can all agree that such ludicrous legislation and smothering regulations emanate from a bloated bureaucracy and civil service. Craven politicians examine such foolishness to determine if it gives the appearance of being virtuous and progressive and then are quick to sign on. I’m sure, back in the day, politicians gathered to brag about debt-free jurisdictions, lower taxes, business-friendly atmospheres, infrastructure improvements and such mundane matters. Sadly, the current crop gathers to indulge in self-congratulatory orgies and to boast about progressive legislation and control over the masses. Common sense be damned.
Unfortunately, in this case, the electronic nicotine industry does not yet have the resources, numbers or wherewithal to stand up and fight against the nanny state bullies.
