  1. good to see you back Kate.
Disney Operating income fell 22% to $1.8 billion.
ABC will be sold, and heads will roll.
NBC Megan Kelly’s hour of “Today” is down 32 percent compared to a year ago. And “Kathie Lee & Hoda” is down 26 percent.

In the future Switch over to ABC or NBC and listen to the Russian-Chinese podcast.

  2. The only thing I am not happy about is that I would like to see the media transformation go faster. Dead shells like Time and Newsweek somehow drag out their death for years, while the 3 big networks still exists even though they have long since been surpassed by programming on netflix, hbo, amc, other networks and delivery providers.
We still have dinosaurs in Canadian media clamouring that government intervention to subsidize their jobs is needed. Once those jobs are gone the clamouring will stop.

  3. Layoffs ? Hardly. This is simply more employee “restructuring”. Dump “high paid”, “lazy”, American workers who can be easily replaced by 50 eager wage slaves in Mumbai. Nothing to see here, move along. The media outlets who regularly mock “The American Dream” by calling it dead (and that it is nothing but a myth) … are fulfilling their own prophecy by killing it DEAD. They are downright gleeful about how they are grinding-down the middle class between the millstones of greed and cheap offshore labor. Who knew Marxism could be so profitable for the elites ?!

  4. At a recent hotel stay the TV content available was so bad, CBC/CTV/cnn I chose cnn only coz it ain’t at home. Anderson Cooper was talking with his echo chamber about how crazy Trump is. They had themselves convinced. No opposing views, so turned that off. CBC CTV no different.
They really do need a shakeup.
