    I don’t see any exaggeration or taking events out of context and blowing them up.
    What I see is an apologizer being taken to task for a stupid comment. What I see is a valid logical statement being made “It should not happen at all!” 5 people, 10 or 50 or 100 or 1,000,000 it doesn’t matter, this should not happen.
    If you’re going to use arguments about types of arguments, at least get it accurate.

    Exactly how is this selection bias?
    There was no overall statement of mothers burying children and that Somali mothers fared higher disproportional numbers overall. It was a straight statement of the loss of Somali mothers in particular.
    The only potential error in this statement is the assumption that those pictured were Somali, there are any number of different middle eastern nationalities that could be ascribed to the pictured suspects. And any number of those middle eastern nationalities would also be accurately named for committing this type of crime.
    Again, if you’re going to argue about types of arguments, get it right.

  24. It is true that murders happened before we began importing these Middle Eastern individuals. However, even in hardened criminal circles, I don’t recall people throwing gas on others to light them on fire over an argument in a mall.
    Most murders in the 60’s had at least a discernible (if not defensible) motive.
    This is a special kind of selfish hatred.
    Seconds after reading this, my reaction was to look at my own heart – now so accustomed to hearing of these savage, cruel acts. Rather than being absolutely horrified at the brutality and selfish anger of these individuals, my reaction was “Oh, another one”….
    Part of the acclimatization is due to media reports from all around the world reaching us, but part is that we have imported, and now are accommodating, a level of barbarianism that would have made us all vomit a few decades ago. Now it is just another tut-tut moment in a newscast.
    Another reason for the West to separate. We can set an immigration policy based on what we want in our country, not based on how “open” we want to appear on talk shows. Not it is not just “Let the Eastern Bastards Freeze in the Dark”….. let’s add on “With the Consequences of Their Policies.” (Monetarily as well as socially….)

    You have to laugh, tho, at his sneering logical fallacy lectures when he sees all islamic atrocities in the context of, say, the number of traffic deaths, viz., not statistically significant.
    He is certainly well educated, or pehaps more accurately, well schooled.

    My main point? I was referring to the severity of pointless cruelty, and the not the frequency.

    Downplaying Muslim violence in non-Muslim countries by saying it’s very unlikely to happen seems to me to be a lot like playing golf during a lightning storm. The low incidence of fatal lightning strikes is “evidence” that it’s safe. The low incidence of fatal lightning strikes is also evidence that people are smart enough to get out of the rain and not run around with lightning rods when there’s a lightning storm.
