  1. “difficult questions of loyalty”?
Seriously? Maybe to the fools at The AP (All Progressives) and NP (New Progressives).
If Bo was a QB for a Superbowl team he would be sharing his team’s playbook with their opponents.
The difficult question isn’t about Bo’s loyalties, it’s about the medias.

  2. “The United States does not “leave our men or women in uniform behind,” Obama declared.”
    #Hillary Benghazi

  3. Who can know what the truth is. My nation has not declared war since 1943, against Bulgaria.
Our fine young men and women serve a government that does not protect them as per Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution.

  4. It was not a failure in negotiations. It was an excuse to release the Taliban commanders back to their command. He did exactly what he wanted to do.

  5. When he deserted and was captured in 2009, his army rank was Private First Class (PFC E-3). While captive, he was promoted twice (to Sargent E-5). Now that’s ironic or maybe moronic.
The Army shrinks say he has schizotypal personality disorder. I had to look that up. And, yeah, probably correct. Doesn’t change a thing though. He still understood that what he was doing was wrong. He really has no other choice except to plead guilty at least to desertion in a combat situation (“desertion and misbehaviour before the enemy”).
But was he a traitor? That has a different definition (heavy on the betrayal aspect of desertion) and consequently is a harder question to answer. Since I don’t know all the details I can’t say.
Trump called him a traitor. I think he simply took a shortcut to describe the chaos his desertion caused …. the search for him, the wounding of his comrades during the search, the propaganda generated by his capture, and the trading of 5 high profile Taliban for his release.
Bergdahl’s apologists on the left will start their attack in 3..2…1….

  6. He most certainly is a traitor. The US soldiers that went looking for him were ambushed – and suffered casualties – in large part because the Taliban had suddenly shifted to more sophisticated tactics. This was most certainly a result of Bergdahl providing the Taliban with insight on US patrol tactics, techniques, and procedures. He deserted a combat post, aided the enemy, and contributed to the loss of life of his fell soldiers. He needs to pay for that.

  7. Treason charge and execution is what he deserves. He voluntarily went to Afghanistan and voluntarily betrayed his country.

  8. Since he had such sympathies for lowlifes, why didn’t O’Bummer pardon him like he did what’s-his/her/its name?

  9. Yes,he should get the same punishment as Jane Fonda.
Bergdahl can’t be sent to a regular prison, where some of the “inmates” are patriots and would kill the s.o.b. first chance they got,so he’ll have to be put up and closely watched for the next 5 years.Maybe, like Canader, they’ll consider him rehabilitated in two years at a Club fed and released to write a book and play a bit part in the movie.

  10. Last I checked … the American military doesn’t (officially) clad our soldiers in Muslim man-dresses.
