I actually don’t see it the way you guys do. Just because he works for msnbc, doesn’t mean he has to put up with crap at work. I don’t know what was in his earpiece, but I’m sure in his line of work only pertinent information is tolerable. Also, I clearly heard the hammering. I would have acted the same way or worse if I was in his position.
Still mild by comparison to what goes in on offices around the world every day. I honestly can’t believe anyone is trying to make cycles out of these videos. This is nothing.

I worked construction. We didn’t put up with guys like that. Little princess didn’t get everything his way, threw a little tantrum? He’d have to back that up. Don’t think he would.

NBC has always had something called the “GOD-IFB” which means only the Producer speaks to the Talent (ear piece).. He was complaining that some female was on his IFB (ear) chatting about her date the night before..
Production screw-up when Communications are PROGRAMMED wrong. I don’t think MSNBC has anyone that knows anything about production… 12 year old female Producers with a hysterical bent

Guys lose their shlitz on job sites all the time. Other guys tell them to shove it and get the f- back to work. I’ve been on both sides of that equation. Work goes on, the job stays doable, nobody has a nervous breakdown. Some guy tries it on one too many times, he gets invited to get lost. One too many times is usually three. The first two is normal, the third one is asking for it.
I don’t see anyone telling Princess to cram it. As Kate said, I see a bunch of people ducking, in case he might single them out. Like this happens daily, and they better watch it or they’ll be out on the bricks. And is this the worst thing he’s ever done? Doubt it. This was probably a normal day.
Nobody has told that guy to shut the f- up and get back to work in 20 years. That’s a fact about TV worth knowing, IMHO. Abuse breeds more abuse. Seeing the true nature of the TV guy explains so much about what I see between the lines on television. The people running it are a-holes.

Television is a ART form that MAY not always seem NICE & warm….Canadians are familiar with CBC where no bad words are uttered or heard…
True story.. During the 1992 Barcelona Olympics I was playing Operations Manager plugged into Engineering/Production intercom. The Security detail reported that a CBC Producer was reporting that a physical Fight was occurring in one of our Editing Suites, I told him to hold until I checked out the issue…The Editor & Producer were having a Loud verbal disagreement about how to create the segment they had been assigned…
I had seen these episodes many times in 30 Rock and as long as no punches are thrown you let the issue play out….It was a few minutes until the Show Producer came across the intercom & asked when the segment would be ready for AIR… The two suddenly were frantically editing the piece without argument and when finished they reported it was ready.. It ran to Air and the Show Producer thanked them for it… The two where glad-handing each other and congratulating themselves.
The CBC producer who had been waiting at the Door with security & myself (he had provided some material) said “crazy stupid Americans” before wandering off.. The security Guy asked me what the CBC guy’s problem was… I told him that CBC was a Government Network & they had never seem Emmy Award Production.
Some thing get ugly, and excellence takes a toll…
