40 Replies to “More Pavilions At Folkfest”

  1. I have several times wondered, even asked here, what happened to that guy in Quebec. Why hasn’t there been follow=up stories. It’s a fine example of white intolerance that I am surprized it hasn’t been reported eternally, like the Montreal school shooting, although that was a muslim who hated women.

  2. The Muslime Brotherhood has many tentacles….a number of which are hard wired into the PMO. That so called terrorist event was in MO, exactly what Tarek intimated. staged to support M-103.
Who is running the country people..??

  3. Canada has the charter and multicultural policies that will make it impossible to say no to sharia. If taken to the SCC they will OK it and the cowardly politicians will accept their interpretation based on the charter dictates.
Living in a free society should not mean shutting down free speech, the right to offend or be offended. In Canada today with HRC’s we dare not offend the Left’s chosen ones.
What exactly are we standing on guard for today in Canada?

  4. the Canada I swore to defend 50 years ago is no longer in existence! It has come down to defending my family

  5. Anyone in this country that thought M-103 was a “meaningless” motion…is beyond incredibly stupid.
A PM that would love to be Dictator, who has recited the Shahadda wearing Afgan clothing, who prefers Syrian-Islamic Migrants to those of European Descent, who declares we are a Post National State and has more Muslims in his entourage than Ali Bagdaddi ever did …and people Pooh pooh this motion..??
I fear for my children and my Country, Particularly when the the so called Conservatives are such an anemic bunch of self serving wankers.
We are truly in DEEP Shit.

  6. in kanada, we have the biased lefties who get buthurt when the truth is spoken
and then we have the religious right, who get buthurt when the truth is spoken
do you imbeciles see the difference????

  7. What “truths” are “butthurtung” the religious right? I think they are mostly expressing their views. I would consider Islamists to be more on the religious totalitatian left. It is much aligned with the goals of the political left. The Christian right has little impact on our society. So,no, I do not get whatever distinction you are trying to make. I guess that’s makes me an imbecile. I am sure it could not be because you have failed to express your muddled thinking clearly.

  8. “Too bad we can’t crush the extreme left”
Yiu coukd. But but it would take a lot more than tapping away on keyboards.

  9. I don’t care if the people are left, right, center, up, down, all around – call them what you will. If they’re trying to suppress free speech, to silence opposing voices and ideas with which they do not agree – not by reasoned debate, but by force (ie, the law) – then they are truly dangerous indeed. This is a very ominous and dangerous path for our progressive, socialist little nation to go down.

  10. Here is an excerpt from a very recent Mark Steyn column that addresses a very real but passive killer of free speech: the advent of blogs, forums, etc. and the ability to post anonymously. As I have said before, it is unfortunate that just as Western Governments were starting to curb freedom of speech and opinion, along came the internet to give people a place to hide.
“To win “the cultural side of the struggle”, certain things are required. For a start, more people have to stand up under their own names; as Kathy Shaidle has observed, there’s nothing more impotent than butching it up on the Internet as “Sh*tlord3000”. It’s worse than useless – not only because it increases the burden on those few who do append their own names, but because it confirms the leftist critique that these ideas are somehow shameful and illegitimate and thus can only be advanced anonymously. So the macho pseudonyms with the warrior avatars are less helpful than if Fred the accountant or Mabel the feedstore clerk said it. The left wants to keep dissent in the shadows; anonymity plays by their rules. One of the reasons that Donald Trump won the election is that, whether by instinct or calculation, he said “I’m going to go on stage and stand between Jeb and Marco and say the things that most people only say furtively and off the record.” There’s a lesson in that.”

  11. “Living in a free society should not mean shutting down free speech …”
How can one shutdown something that did not exist in the first place?

  12. Yes denis; the one difference between your message and my personal thinking is pledging to defend Canada in my situation is 60 years ago.
Does Canadian awareness of this “we have” need to be reinforced? YES; P.M. Stephen Harper was able to bring this awareness forward in the One Term of Governing with a Majority Conservative Parliament.
The Faux effort by the Liberal Government(s) to recognize 150 Years of Representative Democracy, pretty well sunk any Development of Pride with “rubber duck” promotion. and behind the hand, smirking by the Central Canada Laurentien Elite Progressive/National Socialism aspirations.
The Journalists of Canada who(m) worked so dillengently to support the Robert Fife indignant rant making the Duffy affair an Election Item; will regret their malfeasance when their daughters and granddaughters don the Sharia garb to be driven to the female only allowed shopping malls by their fully unenlightened brother.
A brother focused on ensuring his sister does nothing to force him to brutalize his sister because of Family Honor.

  13. Tarek Fatah has provided material support to a terrorist organisation. Hardly the sort of person who should be preaching freedom of speech.

  14. Obviously, I agree with that article too. It seems pretty clear that the Islamists are winning in their conquest of the West. When it comes to outwitting progressives and an electorate like Canada’s, Islamists have a pretty easy time. Once free speech is gone, all that’s left is violence. The Islamists are betting on submission rather than violent opposition and they may be right.

  15. “No, this was a former federal police officer basically toying with the censoring of the media and the prosecuting of individuals when “things go too far.” … 5th to last paragraph.
    http://www.torontosun.com/2017/09/20/m-103-talk-turns-to-prosecution-censorship
This shouldn’t surprise anyone. Have you ever had an argument with people to the left of the political spectrum that were willing to just “let it go”? With every law that’s passed, the freedom that once lived in Canada ebbs away. For the once in a decade moment that a court decision goes against the left, the nuancing of the SCOC decision to change the written law of what constitutes “hate speech” was one example that went against the left… even while some on the right feel the entire book with all the Human Rights Commissions should be tossed into the garbage. “We” won 1 argument. 13 words deleted from a law for the cause of free speech, while every day, in every legislature across the land, government is working to remove rights from citizens, mandate that your life is safer, to ensure that you don’t let “things go too far”.
The country’s lost, freedom is lost, and your new overlords are in power. If not with this law, then the next one, or the one after that.
They’ll never give up. In Canada, you have nowhere to hide.
The west should separate, start new, with a Constitution guaranteeing these freedoms from government. Or move to France / Germany / UK. / Sweden. That’s their goal, what’s your goal?

  16. Fatah`s tweet seems to relate to the peculiarities in the Mosque shooting case. Indeed something odd is going on there. Fatah claims there were two shooters and indeed that was the initial reporting. Now, all of that has disappeared — as has Bissonette himself. He is not at all in the news. Surely a trial is scheduled at some point. Journalists should be making enquiries, but M-103 may be shutting them up.

  17. “Prepare yourselves……”
    Absolutely!
Take names of every Liberal Progressive you know or meet, when Sharia comes convert to Islam and point them out in every little hiddy hole and crevice they scuttle too.

no, this is a guy who once worked for csis and then started
a second career as a mouthpiece for the msm. whenever
ctv or cbc wants a spy” soundbite they drag this guy out of
    his mother’s basement.
just another example of the politically-correct “have gun, will travel”
journalism of the cotton candy millennials.

    Sure there is.

and what do you do when some deep pockets alt-left

bleeds you dry and attaches a lien to your home?
i can see it now… “uh, honey… we’re gonna have to

brave words if you have nothing to lose.

  21. Love it when centrist idiots think they are voting for a centrist government and wind up in handcuffs at a re-education camp. Yes, I’m gonna be that guy telling all the head scratching lefty’s and ignorant centrists…”Told ya so!”
Canada’s chickens, ARE COMING HOME TO ROOOOOST!!!
We are very fortunate to have front row seats to the catastrophic decline of western civilization.

  22. OK, found the source.
I’ve never understood why former RCMP/CSIS and other members of supposedly secretive agencies talk so openly about security matters, speculating about motives and methods of alleged perpetrators. IMO, Michel Katsura is a media w*h#e who should STFU. This is the same great agent who speculated that then-FA Minister Maxime Bernier’s girlfriend Julie Couillard’s mattress was probably wired to record pillow conversations. Why he was called upon to testify before that committee is beyond me.
On a somewhat related note … I also fail to understand why Conservative politicians allow themselves to be pilloried for holding views that differ from those of their opponents. I have never been a proponent of absolute free speech, advocating instead measured logical arguments against opponents, rather than resorting to silly epithets and name-calling. But why should someone like Conservative Senator Lynne Beyak be reportedly removed from all Senate committees for echoing the Liberals’ past policy paper re: Indigenous matters? Why should an apology be extorted from Andrew Scheer because a member of the CPC used a silly epithet to refer to Minister McKenna — an epithet, BTW, that was also used for Conservative MP Michelle Rempel, with little detectable outrage from the MSM. Did the media raise the same stink when Montreal M (i.e.Martinet) Denis Coderre referred to then-Environment Minister Rona Ambrose as a potted plant?

why doesn’t anyone ask why this dude is a former csis agent? from the Grope & Flail
“Two former CSIS employees, François Lavigne and Michel Juneau-Katsuya, are
not surprised at the lawsuit allegations. Mr. Juneau-Katsuya experienced insults
    due to his francophone heritage
; he points to the organization’s “veil of secrecy”
that prevents employees from seeking support against workplace harassment.”

looks like michel hyphenated-name is easily triggered. some spy-catcher.

  24. We are standing on guard for the political Parties and their masters in the industrial elite.
If the American President’s first act after taking the Office was to be flown to a remote hunting lodge to meet with the kingmakers of America, the media would be incensed, but that is exactly what occurs in Canada, and it garners a paragraph or two on page six of the Papers, not a mention at all on TV News.
No,Denis, this isn’t the Country we were so proud of fifty years ago, our every accomplishment has become something we are expected to apologize for.
When the USSR first infiltrated Canada after WW2, I doubt they allowed themselves to even dream that one day Canada would be filled with millions of their agents, bent on the destruction of Canada.
To imagine their machinations would be so successful would undoubtedly have been considered slightly delusional by the old guard of KGB.

  25. “our every accomplishment has become something we are expected to apologize for.”
So true. It reminds me again of the sad spectacle that was fobbed off as our 150th “celebrations”. The Liberals made sure that history, heritage and aspects of our traditional Western Canadian culture were nowhere in evidence. Of course, planning such an event AFTER they had decided we are a “post national state” must have been awkward. So we were treated to themes, all intended to reinforce the “new” culture: diversity, reconciliation with natives, the environment and youth. It is not that the themes themselves do not reflect important concepts, but in the context of an important anniversary, they totally missed the mark. Once you realized the intent behind this (to undermine our heritage in favour of a globalist vision), it was painfully obvious around everything that was done in the name of the 150th. Of course there are many more important issues than the 150th having fallen flat . . . but that one sticks in my craw because it is so emblematic of what the Liberals are deliberately doing to our once great country.

  26. “and what do you do when some deep pockets alt-left
do-gooder organisation ties you up in court for years,
bleeds you dry and attaches a lien to your home?”
Well I’ll worry about the “what ifs” if and when they happen. And what might (or might not) happen isn’t an excuse for silence or inactivity when things are wrong. We have a duty to stand up and speak out publicly; when we don’t, we contribute to the demise of all that is good just as surely as the parasites and power-hungry do. We find ourselves where we are today because people lie down in the long grass and hope that the sharp eyes and talons that snagged their neighbours will pass them by.
In only two or three generations, Canadians morphed from the incredible generation that suffered through the Great Depression and World War II, to passivity, then apologetic meekness, to what we have today: shaking submission. Total groveling subservience is surely not far away.

  27. Here in America, the deep state leftists SCREAM that … “America is NOT a Christian nation!! And to “prove” their point … The Muslim Brotherhood was welcomed into the Obama White House literally hundreds (if not thousands) of times.
    http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/02/07/the-muslim-brotherhood-comes-to-the-white-house/
All the Muslim Brotherhood does is institute Sharia Law into governance wherever they can. Despite Obama’s backing … even the Egyptian people tossed-out these irrational Islamists. SHE enabled the Muslim Brotherhood to gain a foothold in Libya … HER version of The Arab Spring. It is unconscionable that the purveyors of Sharia Law are welcomed into the governance of our Western Nations … but here they are … just to PROVE that NO nation in the West … is a Christian Nation.

  28. I wouldn’t trust anything Michel Juneau-Katsuya says.
He isn’t going to tell you the truth – that the so-called “extreme right”* hardly exists in Canada and is limited to the usual troglodyte neo-Nazi losers – because that’s not the kind of truth that assures continued consulting work with the media on “security” matters.
    * Oh, to be fair, there is one “extreme right” group we should all be concerned about: Islamic extremists.

  29. of course I do know that, but guess what? Canadians are socialists and will not ever try and destroy the left because they are the left. my post is just wishful thinking. even if the country devolves to the level of Venezuela Canadians will still think socialism works. there is no cure for stupid.

  30. Action plan with Gantt chart, please. Remember, the right is generally the productive, working members of society. How are they lured into action given the nature of their already busy daily grind?
