I don`t think he is a terrible speaker — as you say, he is clear and to the point. He comes across as authentic . . .rather than presenting memorized or teleprompted talking points. Obama`s speeches were very studied and he could not function without a teleprompter. His technique was deliberate (using those cadences and such), but he was never authentic. I also think Trump`s twitter is useful. It is a new way of communicating and allows Trump to informally tell us what he is thinking.
