  1. I noticed that NATURE applauded and celebrated the fact that Frau Merkel was a trained “physicist” … endorsing her “science” credentials. However, they didn’t DARE mention that she was reportedly a “Quantum Chemistry Physicist”. A branch of science which studies Nuclear particles. Ohhhh noooo!!!! Can’t mention that she was a NUCLEAR scientist. That would simply destroy the NATURE narrative about green science being the only science.

  2. Nature like other green theological publications is of course political. Since the re-marriage of
(PC) Church and State how could it be otherwise.

“VIENNA – Police in Austria say a 14-year-old girl from
Afghanistan has been stabbed to death…”

  4. On the pastoral theme. Merkel was born in Hamburg, the daughter of a pastor. The family actually swam against the flood and emigrated to the East. Doing so brought them a privileged life style. It strikes me that this is a rather odd background for one of the world’s most powerful leaders.

  5. Nature seems to be going the way of Scientific American which was at one time a serious lay science journal to which I used to subscribe. SciAm was then taken over by leftists more interested in politics than science and degenerated into another left wing rag. I cancelled my subscription years ago. My only concern is what credible scientific journal the leftist viruses will move to infect once Nature implodes.

  6. kinda like HVAC engineering.
used to be about efficiency/KISS/best value
now about scoring GREEN points and stuff.

  7. If you had time to read all of my post you’d have found this:

Holtzbrinck Publishing Group is a privately-held Stuttgart-based company which owns publishing companies worldwide. The company has published a wide variety of books, from The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie to classics by Agatha Christie, Jean-Paul Sartre, Ernest Hemingway and John Updike. Other well-known publications of the company include the scientific journal Nature and Scientific American. It is one of the Big Five English-language publishing companies.

  8. As an English instructor I can sadly tell you DrD that I really can’t think of any public access (and many academic ones) that I recommend to my students for unbiased, academic research source…the STEM journals are approaching where the humanities were 20 years ago.
You have to wade through a lot of bs..and even then…oh well, it can help people to learn to check and counter-reference their sources.7500 HA
