   I just think you’re an idiot who is immune to learning from history. One bad campaign ad isn’t going to outweigh the Trump Presidency, which is the presidential equivalent of ‘The Room’.

8. This ad targets the “white” vote and the “centrist” vote. ( I refuse to watch it again to see if there was more than the one earnest yuppie black woman in the back of the crowd. I would have to wash my brain).
   Some political consultant with a pulse must have pointed out that “white” and “centrist” is where the Dems are losing bigly.

9. There is no such thing as bad publicity; particularly if you are the challenger you take every iota you can get.
   You will never go wrong underestimating the intellect of the average voter (paraphrased).
   The underlying hidden message is that it takes a certain amount of gumption for him to have done this to himself. The electorate is tired of slick; it now feeds of “reality”.
   On the other hand, the open message (almost lost under the hokeyness) is a crass shot at his opponent. The electorate is also tired of attack ads and yearns for balance and fairness; it is on the lookout for “fakery”. Don’t know the personalities or how accurate or relevant the charge made against her in this ad is, but if it is too much of a stretch the ad will backfire. (See overdone snide comments about “nice hair though!)

    Any time the left makes an advance, they immediately proclaim it as the center. Two election cycles later, the right proclaims that it was their conservative ideal all along.
