  1. A 100% Muslim occupied government owned free housing retrofitted with the latest environmental green schemes tower burns up. Pardon me while I go search for my violin. It’s very small but i swear i had it around here somewhere.
Survivors will get their golden payday at the expense of the British tax payer and more will be moved in to replace those lost.

  2. Shut up and take your Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation supplied mosquito netting. Damn ! This one had a small cut. Oh well … pass the quinine

  3. Radical enviromentalism and radical Islam. Both death cults. And speaking out against them will soon be impossible. Climate law and Sharia law.

  4. I’m sure the dead would say it was a small price to pay to help cut the carbon footprint and save the planet. Comrade Corbyn insists houses be taken from the rich nearby and given to the surviving victims and martyrs of global warming. I suspect there are shia towers sunni towers and bad smelling heretic towers, all now Faulty Towers. Now they all know how to cleanse Islam in their respective fashion with a bic lighter at ground level.
I thought the Swedes were in bad shape.

  6. Asbestos is indeed a good insulator, however I fear it’s use as a domestic or commercial insulation material is passé. My best friend died from emphysema, often claiming that the asbestos insulation they blew into attics and walls (as a young lad–he worked for a construction company that sold Zonolite) ) was the cause of it all. Then I’d ask, ” What about your pack and half a day smoking??.” He’s laugh and say, ”..let’s talk about something else…”
Brick on the outside, gypsum board mounted on metal studs on the inside, with Rockwool in between won’t burn.
Now you know why the third pig in the brick house slept well at night.

  7. First reports said a refrigerator exploded.
How could that happen? Some people blamed a “Jihadi Workplace Accident.”
No. A new, environmentally friendly refrigerator exploded. A refrigerator with a Greenpeace invented non-HFC refrigerant. They replaced the non flammable refrigerant with a “hydrocarbon based refrigerant,” Greenfreeze (TM), isobutane and propane. All it takes is a little leak into the big, airtight box called the refrigerator. An explosive mix of Isobutane, air, and a spark from the thermostat, BOOM!
A small price to pay for getting rid of those evil, globull warmening HFC refrigerants. So what if a few dozen refrigerators have exploded in the last year? AGW will kill millions in the future, just ask Al Gore.

Greenpeace also wants industry to replace CFC in foam with Greenfreeze as the blowing gas. That is the gas that makes the bubbles in the insulating foam. How fireproof is a foam filled with millions of propane bubbles?
    Greenpeace kills. Environmentalism Kills.

  8. The Tower massacre is simply shocking and revealing. I honestly thought the U.K. was a modern, industrialized, technologically advanced Western nation. However, this mid rise fire trap has proven otherwise. Now it appears as though the Brits are living in the equivalent of Pakistani mud huts. I guess the residents of this building were none the wiser.
27 stories and ONE small (smoke-filled) stairway ? WHAT building code (in the last hundred years) has allowed fewer than 2-stairs separated by 1/2 the maximum diagonal dimension so the floor plate ? Where are the self-closing fire doors ?
No (operable) Fire sprinklers … really ?
No (operable) Smoke detectors … really ?
No (operable) Fire alarms … really ?
Wet standpipe … or Dry standpipe ? Geeze … nevermind.
And then there’s the fancy ” Euro” retrofit exterior “cladding/crematoria … keeping the residents all toasty and warm. In addition to the added insulation … the cladding has a very “effective” dead air space between the cladding and the wall behind. An “effective” cushion of air to insulate … and immolate. And WHO exactly TESTED this wall assembly ? I have this very THICK book on my desk of TESTED and FIRE RATED wall assemblies by UL … Underwriters Laboratory. Each wall assembly is assigned a FIRE RATING (the amount of TIME it would take a fire to burn through the assembly). FIRE RATINGS are typically; 1 Hr., 2 Hr’s., or 3 Hr’s. So … what is the UL TESTED, FIRE RATING for this exterior cladding ? By the look of the Fire videos … I would guess it was TESTED, RATED at about 35 seconds. Nice. Really nice.
And the real BOOBY PRIZE for all you ass-backward Brits !? Your TAXES are going to PAY OUT $$$$$ multi-million dollar $$$$$ settlements to hundreds of DEAD Muslim immigrants. But don’t worry, not a single dime will return to the U.K. in the form of Muslim suicide vests. Nahhhh … none of these fine immigrants will tithe a few $$$ hundred thou. to their HATE Imam. Nahhh … your “green” zealotry won’t be funding bigger and more sophisticated TERROR attacks. Why don’t you all just convert to ISLAM now !? Adopt Sharia now ?!

  9. If Africa had enough mosquito nets we could save millions of mosquitos from needlessly dieing from AIDS.

  10. Political correctness, pagan nature worship, rejection of scientific method and authoritarian zealotry, all combine for deadly effect, yet again.
The environmental/political movement has always contained a rejection of Biblical tenet of mankind’s struggle for dominion over nature, replacing it with chaos.
In Ancient times paganism meant sacrificing humans to please the deities of nature.
Thousands of years of human progress is being sacrificed, literally as a burnt offering, on the pagan altar.
This would be the same British government that sacrificed children and their mothers to be crucified with the nails from an Islamist jihadi’s suicide bomb in Manchester.
    Odd that coincidence…?

  11. Thousands of apartment buildings across the EU have been retrofitted with EU-subsidized cladding for green purposes. Warnings were issued at the time, but nobody listened.

  12. I was watching the building go up in flames and thought the cladding was particularly hideous, even for government housing. Now it all makes sense. Take a bow progressives.

  13. “Nothing has a smaller carbon footprint than an urn filled with ashes”
That’s what I used to tell people who told me you could have a diamond made out of grandma’s ashes. Grandma should be a pile of calcium, phosphorus and trace minerals with close to no carbon other than the odd stray atom that didn’t do a menage-a-trois with a couple oxygen atoms.

  14. Environmental correctness caused the loss of both the Space Shuttle Challenger and Columbia and crews. On the boosters for the Challenger, NASA changed the SRB joint putty to an “asbestos free” version which allowed the hot gas inside the booster to breach the putty and erode the O-ring. On the Columbia, NASA changed the blowing agent for the ET foam to eliminate Freon, and also forbid the use of Trichloroethylene to clean the tank before bonding the foam; They switched to a “lemon scented organic” solvent. Those changes allowed a chunk of foam to break off and damage the leading edge of the wing.

  17. I worked on installation of firestop systems in four story condos, and was inspected every day to make damned sure that every opening,no matter how small, was sufficiently firestopped with mineral wool and firestop caulking. Not a whiff of smoke gas or flame could get through for one, two,or three hours, depending on the system.
One day we were told to vacate a block of suites as they were installing a blue spray-in styrofoam insulation for sound suppression to a thickness of about six inches. This covered most of plywood floor/ceiling of each suite, especially where suite walls met.
I casually (and naively) said to one of the installers,” I guess that stuff is completely fireproof”?
His reply floored me,”nope,it’s flammable as hell”.
So,I firestopped every electrical and plumbing penetration to prevent smoke and fire advancing up or sideways to the next suite, while they covered the same area in a highly flammable substance to deaden sound.
No one I spoke to on site seemed the least bit concerned by this absurdity, nor were the City fire inspectors. Fortunately these were very expensive condos, where the cheapest car in the u/g parking area was a BMW,and as everyone knows, fires only burn up poor people.

  18. I still don’t understand why after torching thousands of houses in a couple Alberta towns and cities that exteriors of houses aren’t fireproof. Once you melt off the siding, there is exposed paper and wood. The shingles are based on petroleum products. For not many thousand more dollars, houses could be finished in metal and masonry and rarely have a fire spread from external sources. The products are all readily available. They are just a tiny bit more expensive. I also don’t understand why Alberta allows huge 100 plus unit apartments to be built without masonry barriers.

  19. looks like this is the issue all of SDA agrees on.
I was a volunteer firefighter in St Catharines eons ago.
my first call was a fatality. some dude fell asleep with a cigarette that proceeded to burn a huge hole in the living room floor. covered the *entire* inside of the house in black soot.
I have over a dozen detectors in my place, CO, methane, ion, photocell, battery, 115V, etc etc.
what in hells bells is going on in the world today? some profound rush back to the middle ages mentality? eschew science, anything goes, religionists calling the shots. crikey.

  20. So I was intrigued by rd’s refrigerator comment and so googled “Greenfreeze tower fire”, google showed the following phrase: “The problem appears to result from a widespread switch to ‘Greenfreeze’ technology over the past 15 years ..” with a link to a Daily Express article but then that specific phrase was gone at the link. Interesting.

  21. The rain-screen aluminum panel system has been in use for decades in EU and NA. Have worked on dozens of jobs applying it. The insulation retro-fitted behind the panel system here was Celotex RS5000.The ACM should have been FR core per building code. This was all retro-fitted over existing walls. What was the wall make-up behind it all? Who knows? The retro-fitted materials were fire-rated not fire-proof. The lack of egress and fire-suppression is damning.
I too was curious about the refrigerators. Isobutane and propane used as a coolant? Insane. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1210334/Alert-new-wave-exploding-fridges-caused-environmentally-friendly-coolant.html

  22. Then I am assuming you DIDNT watch the REAL TIME videos of the nice, safe, “fire resistant” exterior cladding going up like a gasoline soaked rag ? That whoever “tested” and “rated” the exterior cladding MATERIAL and ASSEMBLY … LIED, or fabricated FALSE test results ? Anyone defending this DEATH TRAP of an exterior cladding system … esp. those who are actually applying this system of DEATH … need to become the burn-test Dummies for the next LEGITIMATE Fire Test. Are you willing to volunteer ? Will you sleep comfortably on the 27th floor ? BTW … be sure to get your “final papers” all in order.

  23. “… to cheaply comply …”
Naturally I’m concerned about the environmental impact of the repeated use of uncontrolled split infinitives in an environmentally sensitive political badgering zone, and so I shall take this opportunity to remind The Telegraph that it is not within their remit to boldly sacrifice the English language upon the altar of public sentimentality.
Besides, we know those Telegraph wonks secretly drive diesels inside the congestion zone.
