Smaller gov’t.

Making lives easier for farmers.
Manitoba PC’s cut the red tape for farm buildings.

Mazier said he hopes it reduces the chronic frustration some farmers face when they try to get a contemporary building design approved.
According to an engineer he spoke with, “you can design a barn and get it approved in three months in Alberta, and it took three years in Manitoba, and even then it might not be up to code.”

  1. Small c conservative government will never slay the larger sky dragons but if they can keep the smaller red ones on the ground, surely it’s a gain.

  2. It will take time for the Cons to get rid of all the regulations that the NDP put in to scupper the population in every move they made whether in business or your life. Manitoba is heavy with debt give the Cons sometime to cut jobs in gov’t through attrition…straight out MB hydro and MPI. I don’t like the high cost of owning a vehicle. I don’t like the roads the NDP has saddled us with over the last 20 years. Give the Conservative a chance…I think they will need more that just 4 yrs to clear up the mess the NDP has left behind!!

  3. Canada the only place where approvals take longer than the build.Pipelines for example

  4. Exactly! This is what they want. Make everyone give up so that they can create their environmental Marxist paradise.

  5. All farming and food production should be operated as a peoples collective. All farms should be State run for the good of the people, not by corporations for the good of the few. How can such a basic human right as food … be grown for PROFIT ? How many little children go to bed hungry … because a greedy capitalist farmer refuses to sell his crops at affordable prices. Greedy farmers should not only be refused building permits, they should be imprisoned and starved like all the little children they made go hungry.
And when the people run the farms, the State will deploy thousands of workers into the fields to do the job that a single diesel powered swather took away from them. These people will not only displace the toxic fuel that has been fouling our food … but they will hand fertilize with compost created by the people’s collective compost centers. We will finally ALL be eating healthy, natural, organic produce.

  6. Maybe we could solve two problems at once and give all the farmland to the “Veterans.” Sarcastic? You betcha.
Zimbabwe became quite successful that way I hear from the progressives. In Canada, the Zimbobrae approach is producing wonders too eh?
Remember, people who’ve never farmed, ran a business or balanced their chequebook should tell us how to do all those things; makes perfect sense.
Think of how we’re being improved. Totalitarianism? What a liar!!! It might be authoritarian but telling people what to think – that’s a good thing.
C’mon will it be that much different, we’ll be happy without the burdens of prosperity and liberty. If someone gets beat up, well them’s the rules.
I hear joining the party is the best way to avoid a beatdown &/or trip to the Gulag. Oh. Right; Joe Stalin kind of changed the rule on that.
Oh so sorry, they only want a “little bit” of your freedom; we’re their little onions for more, more more. Spending our bucks off is good leadership.
Remember going hugely into debt is “good” for business; when hasn’t it been successful except for everywhere it’s been tried, like Sweden?
