My favourite part of this is how they are justifying it with the “but I’m taking hormones, etc., so I no longer have any advantage” nonsense. Yes, your longer bones, bone density, additional muscle, extra fast twitch muscles, larger joints, and higher VO2 all give these “women” no advantage whatsoever.
I was speaking with one of our students – a girl who had to fight another “girl” in a jiu jitsu tournament. She said she had no chance. That the girl’s hands were twice the size and “her” grip was as strong as some young men she had sparred with. This “girl” easily won the tournament and hurt two other competitors. Our club refused to let our toher competitor fight in the final in fear for her safety while the organizers assured everyone “she” had no advantage cause she was taking drugs or something and had been “transitioning” for two years. Right.
The only thing that reassured me somewhat was the outrage that followed from all sorts of people there who I would not describe as political at all. Hopefully, we’ll start to see pushback against this stuff.

I’ve seen other commenters elsewhere talk about how intensely political sports organizations, and especially amateur sports organizations, are – and that’s why there isn’t more outcry about this madness. Supposedly, the women most affected by this keep their mouths shut because they know to speak up means losing the chance to compete at all.
I expect that starting up a new league that rigidly enforced a no-doping, division-by-sex policy might run afoul of legal trouble, but I can foresee a lot of these women’s sports turning into a competition for second with the tranny in a sweatband just being given a bye on first place.
I think we just need more categories. John I am involved in master’s track and field as a competitor (Canadian and Saskatchewan records holder). I can assure you that winning is only part of the competition and that camaraderie is present win or loose (watch what happens at the finish line). Camaraderie really stands out when competitors join together for the four person relay teams. Maybe you have been sitting in a chair too long.
Isn’t there already something called the Gay Games? Let these athletes have their own, exclusive, LGBTQQIXYZ events. Sort of like the Paralympics, but for those who can’t fairly compete against normal men & women. Problem solved.

Part of me is saddened that the ridiculous leftists have made even sports a political minefield, but sports (at least some of them) were ruined long ago anyway with the amount of money and celebrity. Physical activity is good for people, and for the young sports can be a way to give it to them, both sexes…but its not about that anymore anyway. Goodness knows they aren’t allowed to go outside and play on their own anymore. What a mess.

I shall sit back and enjoy the chaos (my kids do pentathalon/tetrathlon, cross country/extreme cross country, and equestrian sports…and outside of the equestrian sports (which is a pretty level playing field anyway — women’s and men’s divisions haven’t existed for a long time: although it would be nice to see more men back in the sport) there really isn’t any money or celebrity in those other events (there isn’t a large amount in equestrian), so its more about besting yourself and a little competition now and again to keep things spicy (competitive people like to compete). I’ve got to worry more about stupid PETA than the LGBTQs and feminists…for now.
And the equestrian sports have a hidden benefit for men, as my son pointed out to me: “Mom, I’m a sixteen year old straight guy who is surrounded by chicks wanting help with their horses; chicks who often flirt with me. What’s not to like about that? Beats getting slapped on the butt by a member of your football team.”
