4. Why are so many from the ME flocking to Western democracies? Do they love us and our way of life?
   Will they settle in and defend our countries or will they trek back and forth to their “homelands” retaining dual citizenship, taking from us and plotting against us? Any thought given to the term infiltration, gaining our trust and betraying it?
   All we can do now is hope as the gates are wide open to immigration from ME crap holes by the thousands. People from Europe or the UK need not apply, the process is much longer.
   We can’t overlook the recent crop of asylum seekers/bogus refugees from the big bad US who are coming in through unmanned borders illegally no questions asked. Why are they not deported back to the US? Is it not an insult to the country we share the continent with to be taking them in? Would it be done if Hillary were in Office?
   Stupidity is rampant.

11. Don’t forget one more option, converting to Islam, which of course is a terrible idea but is happening even in ultra-secular Europe. If and when Islam dominates in Europe that will surely happen a lot more frequently.

15. I’ve heard of the book, but although I used to read mostly fiction when I was young, I seldom do these days. I think the last novel I read was One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich and that was years ago. It was an amazing book, by the way.
    Why do you think I should read Submission?

    You have to wonder if the so called coup against Erdogan was simply a ruse to allow the elimination of any opposition he faced. His tilting Turkey toward Islamic rule versus the separation of church and state now proceeds with little resistance.
    The issue with NATO still remains that only the USA spends the 2% that members committed to. Perhaps Poland meets that target. Russia is ruled by a tyrant and that won’t be changing soon. Erdogan is headed toward dictatorship as well. Is Russia the threat or Islam?
    With USA frackers pulling oil out at $2 a barrel the need or concern over the Middle East wanes other than residual loyalty to Israel. I agree with many that further immigration from the ME would/should be on hold. As Trump said ‘extreme vetting’ is a minimum. Ability to assimilate a fundamental requirement.

    Agree 100% with Steyn & Trump, we don’t need to be best friends with modern Russia to find common cause against Islamists and many of the insane “alliances” we currently have.

19. When I hear a man who was born in Britain asked if he was British and he replies no I’m Muslim I can understand why Britain is having problems. There is no loyalty to the country and to its values. And yes, people will end up being afraid to walk the streets because they will feel unsafe because no one knows what, where, or when an attack will happen. This is insanity! Canada is next.
