Twitter…. the solution to everything nowadays, it seems. After all, we don’t need to hold a referendum on electoral reform when we’ve got Twitter, right? Well, that’s what a recently-demoted federal Liberal cabinet minister said.
Journalism has been dead for 10+ years now. It’s total garbage anymore. The commenters rip the local Philly paper near me pointing out their lack of talent and pathetic bias, so much so they’re talking of shutting down the comments section. And I can count on one hand the numbers of reporters I think are any good on the main non-cable news networks here in the U.S. The nightly ABC News has degenerated into a sort of TMZ for millenials interested in politics. Sad.

Kate, you absolutely have a talent for communication. Without a doubt, the Global Warming Scam is by far the largest definitive example of the lamestream media’s outstanding laziness and incompetence.
On the other hand, these same anti-anything-right media *sswipes seem to have an abundance of energy when it comes to fraud, lies and collusion.
It is hardly journalism to simply reprint press releases that have been very carefully crafted to sway opinion in their favor. And it is even WORSE than non-journalism … to fawn over the press release by agreeing with everything copied and pasted. In the case of every Greenpeace press release … to “believe” everything printed by adding emphasis certifying the “truth” of their content.
And you know what they say about opinions being like a$$holes ? That everyone has one … and they all tend to be quite foul. Well … in that case … I would describe Twitter as the ‘porta-potty’ of public opinion. A place you only enter when truly desperate, and can’t wait to escape as soon as possible. For the so-called Press to reprint random Twitter opinions as “journalism” … can be characterized as the “Outhouse media”.

Barbra Streisand? Ben Hatskin, is reputed to have fired Streisand from his Winnipeg club in the early 1960s. Maybe he was a better judge of hockey talent.
Question: Will any Canadian reporter/journalist will spend an ounce of energy exploring whether the allegations about Freeland’s grandfather being a Nazi have any substance?
