I will remind one and all that Kelli Leitch is the one CPC leadership candidate being -massively- hated on by all media, all the time. That is a major resume boost. We know she will not go on an apology tour the fist time some little SJW snowflake goes on a twitter rant.
She’s not a kook, she’s a fake. Her adopted positions have little to do with what she has said or done over the past few years; this is simply a political strategy.
Bernier has always been Mad Max, a little what shall we say, interesting, girlfriends, handsome, debonaire even. He can take Quebec from the Liberals who currently must be assuming it is a given for them. But they are forgetting how much the words Trudeau and Liberal became detested.

Well folks , my opinions n is this.
With the exception of Chong , I actually think we have a decent field of conservatives tbh. Is there a trump no way a trump is not electable in Canada. (I love trump for the record)
However having said that , maxim, trost, o’tool , and few others I think about 5-7 candidates need to go , but the rest are putting out some great stuff, the one who will win is the one who can bring all of their good ideas together. United canzuk is a great idea only if we get USA on board, most are pro gun , anyone that does not agree to eliminate c-16 the bill brought in in 1994 should not win, at the very least move everything to non restricted status and have “restricted for things like full auto , suppressor, speacial ammo ( explosive rounds ect ect) also tighten boarders as a loop hole has been found exploited for example in Manitoba and all along our boarder, also reducing immigration to between 10-50/k per year and tie that to our economy, as well no less than 3% of GDP gets spent on military, r&d ect ect. Opening the constitution to include private property rights and the right to open carry up to and including .50cal fire arms, the absolute right to free speech , and banning the right to be offended, scrapping the charter and just using our laws , also no more pandering to religions, no turbans in the rcmp , no for washing stations at public institutions , and sorting the court system out by eliminating Alamony /maintenance in divorces unless adultery is committed. And cutting the size of gov by half over the next x amount of years but doing it so that as taxes are reduces gst is abolished and the economy starts to move then the gov starts to shrink in proportion , no more blocking roads side walks or entry /exit ways to businesses and no preventing the movement of goods or business in protest ….getting all our goods to as many ports as possible pipelines do more trade with more countries Canada is an export country we are a resource based economy we need to sell sell sell . We can produce but we just don’t have the population to be a big consumer like the USA we do import but not like USA.
Anyway I’ll throw O’Leary in there too but he ain’t no trump , he is pro abortion , pro gay everything anti military he is a social liberal, but would be good fiscally.
Paul in Calgary, I found myself nodding in agreement with most of your post with one notable exception: Suppressors should not be prohibited. Several European countries allow them but they are forbidden fruit over here for the same reason unpinned magazines are. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot legally suppressed firearms as a civilian and can’t imagine why they aren’t available to the masses.

Just as a side note Paul, you need more than .50cal in order not have problems with authorities arbitrarily prohibiting shotguns they don’t like (for example certain Benelli models, Franchi SPAS, Saiga, useless South African wind up drum mag guns etc).

Colonists , let me clarify just because I did not mention many thing about them , long rifles and shotguns are all off limits….period ….outside of insendiary or explosive rounds there is no restriction to shotgun ammo, so 3″ slugs, ho,e defence rounds, and any new tech that comes about is totally allowed. And to cover drivervas well at the same time the incendiary, or explosive rounds are moved into a restricted class ….and yes I believe suppressors should be no different than a muzzle break , ear plugs , or magazine …..no issue with that sorry to contradict myself on that.
I think though in order to sell to people you would have to put it in restricted category ….however restricted would still be in the open or concealed carry class …..but the coppers would need to know you have . That is not what I want but I think would be sellable to the general ignorant public . I would also if I did not mention it make it nearly impossible for any gov authority to take hold or control your fire arms other than to secure the scene of a crime and even then the firearm would have to be returned to you in the EXACT way they received it as it is your private propert. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want any laws or regulations with regards to any firearms ….shit drive your tank to work …lol I don’t care …but you gotta sell it to the people.
The only problem with Tanks on the road is they take up a lot of parking space and they should have rubber growsers to save the asphalt from excessive wear.
Paul I am in full agreement. And yes we need to start somewhere, which is again why Mad Max seems like someone we, Canadian gun owners, should rally behind. Check out the vid I linked above. Instead of squirming like so many other high profile conservatives when asked about guns, who would rather talk about anything other than gun rights. Mad Max approaches the gun community and offers a clear and concise plan. It is not perfect but it is a lot, and the fact that he starts the conservation speaks volume in itself. I and many other gun owners are pretty tired of being treated like battered wife who will always vote conservative because the others will beat her up even more.
