The credibility of those sources has now been called into question, since the Post can’t verify that the meeting occurred and the White House has categorically denied it.

Why do they have such a hard on for Bannon? All I can think of, is he can’t be beaten by their regular means, and they are at a loss.

They liked and supported Obama, but they despise Trump and are doing what they can to torpedo him. They are responsible for the misleading half truths and the outright lies. They will do this for the next four years unless they are rooted out and eradicated.

This crap is nothing new. A partisan press, trying to sway public opinion one way or the other. It’s been that way in the U.S. and likely the entire world forever. (Why in fact just the other day I was reading in the Babylonian Times….)
The hostility of the media to Donald Trump is apparent. To say this is to put a positive spin on it because this obvious bias played over and over is easy to spot. Biased reporting is a good part of the reason that Newsprint and TV news are not trusted and are in trouble. Essentially, they have cried cry wolf too often.
Yesterday I saw an article on Yahoo about the “Chaos caused by Trump in DC”. I didn’t read the article but went straight to the comments, all 6,976 of them. I read many to get a sense of it. More than 95% blasted the story and indicated approval for President Trump. Spin awareness.
Here is a favorite quote of mine from General W.T. Sherman, another favorite of mine, made during the U.S. Civil War:

The problem with a lie is that it takes work to maintain it and allies to maintain it.
Any breakdown in that structure and the truth gets out.

Everything was going peachy until someone got either greedy or felt shortchanged. In the example cited, organizers in the Paul Martin camp decided that the current liberal leader’s organization at the time where trying to stifle them or delay Paul Martin’s leadership. True or not they felt there was a plausibility that it was and all it took was evidence or the suggestion that it was and before you knew it someone got interested in proving that party funds where being restricted from the Martin camp or redirected to the Martin camp depending on the individuals pov. But I digress, the point is that because there is no honour among thieves, all it took was a desire to undercut the opposition of someone’s champion, evidence of a kickback, and a leak to a friend in the media and before you could say “da proof ah da proof” somebody was reporting on government ad contracts for little to no value and looking to pin the blame on someone in the government of the day.
Another example is the last leadership race for the DNC and how it got reported that the fix was in. Nobody heard boo until someone on the inside got upset because their guy got stiffed.
This is why Trump is going to come out ahead. Someone in the opposition is going to feel they aren’t getting their fair share or are going to get thrown under the bus to advance the cause and they spill their guts when they feel they have more to gain from blowing the lid off of a conspiracy than if they would by keeping their mouth shut.
So keep your pants and your powder dry, because there are too many on the left and in the beltway that feel too entitled and impatient to keep quiet long enough to maintain the big lie.

If you hear rumours that the last cabinet shuffle that juthtin did was because someone was getting too ambitious, well lets just say I have no proof Freeland isn’t being a team player and is being assigned supervision like say another MP with past experience in the military. ….keep your friends close and leadership contenders closer.

General Sherman was no doubt right about reporters. The reporters of today would also have not been pleased with his burning out of the farms in the Shenandoah Valley.
It is a time for the ages. All the forces threatened by what Trump says and for what he stands for are orchestrating a campaign of misinformation and yes down right lies. There are careers at stake and yes a LOT of money. There is a huge number of people who benefit from skimming their take off the public purse and they see Trump as a threat.
Combine this with the political side of progressives with many stripes, some very radical. They populate the education system, the media and government. The media is the most threatened of the three. Trump taunts them with ‘failed business plans’ which is entirely true. Print media is dying and MSM cannot control Twitter and Facebook avenues. That said they do influence thinking still with fake news.
Oh dear, Chrystia Freeland thinks she could be party leader, prime minister? I suppose she isn’t even clever enough to realise she isn’t clever enough, but that didn’t stop Justin Trudeau. It would be good to see the some Liberals, especially in caucus and cabinet starting to maneuver to replace him.
