  2. I agree with him on virtually everything…..his problem is that when the left does debate facts, it usually loses. And as for him saying that Bernie would have won the election, well that’s just ridiculous. He would have gotten the Marxist vote from the millenial pinheads but much of the left centre vote would have stayed home or gone to Trump.
    But it is very entertaining to see the soul searching going on with the leftists. And it will be even more entertaining to watch the DNC disintegrate into civil war as it tries to figure out what the hell it should do now.

    I rarely post anything political on Facebook anymore but made an exception with this video.   16. Great left wing rant. His point about shy Trumpers finally able to express themselves in the voting booth, without fear of ridicule, was bang on.
    But, Hillary could not have “discussed” these issues with the voters, who abhored her notions of crony capitalism and rent seeking government, of ludicrous open borders, or massive tax increase or adopting the globalist default position of corrupt politicians on the take while their people suffer.
    So, she was forced to go negative, to project Dem racism, failure and megalomania on Trump. It seemed to work, but in the end all the MSM accomplished was a feeling of superiority over their push polls that vanished on election day as the marginal vote went all to Trump.
    Trump successfully negotiated his deal with the American public. The Dems went to war with him, but gave their withdrawal date, so Trump could time it up perfectly. The sectarian government of Iraq and later ISIS did the same thing to Obama and Hillary,and they couldn’t see it.
    They allowed Trump to sneak into their blind spot, much like the Grits allowed Harper to, thus achieving his victory. Their echo chamber failed them.

    I must admit that as a cynic I take any vows of change after a traumatic event with caution. Kinda like a chronic drunk promising not to drink again after waking up face down in a gutter. Similarly, journalists are addicted to the image of themselves as superior beings who are charged with re-educating the deplorables. It’s been said that it takes 3-4 days to process unexplainable events. Day 1 Shock : they were forced to confront what happened. Day 2 Humility, introspection: how can we explain this. Day 3 minimization, justification, rationalization, confirmation bias: maybe it’s not our problem. Look at this data we all agree on. Day 4 return to normal : we’ve explained the mystery away and we were right all along. Post day 4 : back to being the same condescending, arrogant jerks shouting “racist and stupid” at the deplorables.

    You see, he is not really mad that he is socialist, he is mad just as all the other socialists that Trump was voted to be the next president.
    It may be true that reality hit his brains, though it has not changed his agenda.
    He appropriately speaks of persuading the other guy to his way of thinking, the problem may arise when the other guy does not agree with him. He, being a socialist, may resort to all those things that his fellow travellers practise as a way of persuasion.
    One has to agree with his rant since he is a realist and does not buy the nonsense that you need all the attributes of a snowflake to live in uncertain and real world.
    Does reality suck?
    Not really, the almighty equipped Homo sapiens with this thing they call thinking brain, wrote a handbook and set them on their way. Said go on and get a life. As the late George Burns interpreted, you talk I listen.

    I apologise, it is not my intent to preach here, it’s just that the knowledge there, it is in everyone, you just have to put your mind to it.
    Don’t know how this came about. It seems that young people need to get a grip and do their most best, things will work. Not 100% of the time, not always to your liking, on the balance of things the capacity is there that everyone can be on the upside.
    It is interesting to watch and listen to the socialists talking about getting together and uniting and all that Pablum like stuff.
    Basically they, the socialists, collectivists, want the other guy, independent free thinker, to live the way they say he should. The other guy thinks that he better live the way that he thinks.
    And when he opposes them, they will insist to the point of putting him in prison or killing him, sort of remove the need for an argument.
    And therein lies the root of the problem.

  20. I’ll pile on; the left can’t go back to debating instead of insulting because their socialist sophistry can’t “fool all the people all the time”. The other part of this problem situation is that they up the ante to violence when their “shut up and sit down” line of reasoning doesn’t work anymore.
    It’s just best not to let them fool themselves past the point of recovery where re-education camps start to look like a good idea to them. It’s just being merciful to give them a dose of reality soon enough.

  24. Why would we ever want to debate or have a dialogue with the left again? It is like debating tolerance with mooselimbs. We need to convince people using rational arguments and evidence why the left sucks donkey balls. We do not need to engage the left and give legitimacy to their cause, we need to hurt their cause at every step. Compare the results of engaging them and trying to find a middle ground versus results of giving them a middle finger. Which approach seems to work better? Exactly.

  26. Entertaining. He’s seen a glimmer of light but lost me when he said that people on the right need persuading to buy into the Left’s arguments. Truly if membership in the EU was so great the Left wouldn’t have taken 2 years to delay the Brexit vote while using every dishonest heavy fisted scare tactic imaginable to get their desired result. The vote would have been YUUUUGELY in STAY’s favor after dishing out a thoughtful honest independent summary of benefits vs. damage with such a bigly benefits advantage that the STAY vote would be assured. But no it wasn’t that way. It was a dishonest crock of crap being sold as the finest Swiss chocolate and people got a good enough whiff to vote against it. The danger to the Left really is opening themselves up to debating issues. It’s them that stand more chance of being persuaded. It’s telling that at the end of the video the very animated upset behind schedule liberal minded speaker elected to forego taking a dump in deference to a shave once again showing that Liberals prefer to remain full of crap.

    I remember an assembly in the school I attended nearly 50 years ago in which one of the classes sang that song as part of its presentation. Mind you, that was in the 1960s, a time in which all sorts of weirdness and idiocy went on.

  44. I’ve a colleague at work who is a flaming lefty, but we can talk to each other, joke and agree to disagree on many things. He’s rare. The others are just tunnel-visioned insufferable jerks when it comes to anything political, (and for a lefty, there’s precious little which isn’t). I rather suspect that, given the left’s herd mentality, some of them will try this “reasoning” thing for a bit, but rapidly fall back into their old habits when it implodes on them. It might be fun to watch.

He is deluded though in thinking that abandoning the censorious behavior of progressives will benefit them as their principles are all premised on looting and thuggery (based on the socialism, fascism, and green theocracy) Their shallow narratives can’t stand up to such scrutiny so by all means bring it on.

  48. Saw his Brexit vids. And they’re as good as this one.
    And in all cases the common thread is that his criticism is wholly directed against the left for their incompetence in explaining the merits of their positions (whatever that merit might be, I have no idea, but that’s another debate entirely). In his view, the left DESERVED to lose, not because they were wrong but because they exchanged reasoned argument for insults and slogans. And this happened long, long ago, as you and I both know.
    Pie refers to the ballot box, and it’s very important. That’s the one place that people still feel free to express their true opinion. And Pie is dead on. Beware any attempt to move to ‘voting machines’ or electronic balloting. It’s the first step down the road to the end of democracy.
    What’s sad is so many here who completely don’t get what Pie is saying and to whom he is saying it.
