  1. so Rance, what’s your take on this Trump win, which you kept betting against
I will not call you stupid, as I don’t want to insult stupid people. We have too many of those posting in here

  2. Back to the topic at hand.
Registration will lead to confiscation. Simple as that.

  3. In Canada there were those people dumb enough to register their guns. Something like 40% of the gun-owning population.
By the numbers then 1.4 million illegals did the same thing, maybe 10% of them.
Things like this make me weep for Canada. We are a nation of credulous idiots.

  4. Some only registered because we knew they already had us on a list because of previous registrations.

  5. I don’t understand, can you give an example of what you mean by “a list” and “previous registrations”? Assuming you’re talking about Canada.
    Thanks.

  6. Gun Registry? All Liberals need to be forced to register as Liberals and wear a “L” tattooed on their foreheads. Then we can talk about a gun registry.

  7. While agreeing about the folly to register in a list the left will abuse I have a feeling that Trump may honour this deal at some level. The seed of honesty or a naïve willingness to confess in hope of getting straight with the country may mean something. 1.4 million is only about 10% of the total and since they were willing to self identify the chance of them being true hard luck cases is higher.

  8. Yes, the registered ones will get the most courteous consideration, they’re not likely to be aggressively targeted, the INS will be very busy just dealing with the criminal element as it crosses paths with the police, that’ll keep the deportation wheels turning.

  9. 600k of the pre-registered illegals are gonna LEAVE CA ? well … it will hardly make a dent in the illegal pop. … but it is a fine start !
GO TRUMP 2016 Presidential WINNER !
Thanks for NOTHING GOPe! … and BTW … if Mitch McConnell gets in the way of anything Trump wants … he will be dealt with … like Madam Secretary was dealt with …

Sure, and yes I am talking about Canada. If you actually bought any guns since 1977, you had to have a license to do so. At the time it was an FAC. Everyone who ever held one was on one list. If you had anything that fell into the category of restricted weapons, those were already registered (since the 1930s), then you were also on that list. Ever held a permit to convey for taking a handgun to the range, you were on a list for that too. My guess is that estimates on how bad the data in the actual registry was is based on comparing the registry to the other lists that were reliable.

  11. DP is spouting misinformed opinions about Canada again.
In Canada, since the 1930s, handguns and other ‘restricted’ weapons were registered at the point of sale. Since the late 70s some form of license was required to legally purchase any firearms. Since the 90s a license is required to legally purchase or possess firearms or ammunition. Those regulations only apply to law abiding citizens, criminals don’t care.

  12. Agreed. As I recall, Trumps actual statement specifically referred to the immediate deportation of illegal alien criminals currently incarcerated. The ludicrous idea that any illegal aliens would be rounded up and deported was just more of Clinton’s MSM propaganda.
