  1. Pat’s usual lucid, easy to follow, common-sense based explanation. A few co-workers who have been willfully politically ignorant have asked me why Donald Trump got the nomination, and why he’s getting so much support. I’m going to forward this link to them.

  2. Condell has such a great way of putting things in crystal clear perspective. Another with the same talent would be Farage. If more folks would extract their head from their butt and pay attention, the world would be a much better place. Here’s hoping that the latest e-mail dust up tips the scales toward Trump. Oh yes, here’s hoping that Trump quits shooting himself in the foot.

  3. Nothing is displayed for some users. How about providing a link if it’s that important.

  4. And if I heard the story correctly … it is an LGBTQQIAAEIEIO-IAA bar and campaign event. Hillary is running to her base in the face of her email disaster. And … she went there without Huma, signaling that she’s … uh … available

  5. You are right Pat. The Uniparty would sell out the birthright of every American to feather their own nest or for their own self aggrandizement.
At the risk of being repetitive, it isn’t just the sneaky, behind the scenes underhandedness or the nepotism and the ineptness, ala Gruber, Ben Rhodes.
It isn’t just that the “Rules are for thee, but not for me.” Hillary is the poster child.
It isn’t just about the useless top heavy, regulatory state, serving the entrenched interests, and favored Special Interests, while suppressing  growth and American competitiveness.
It is about the willingness to denigrate and demonize the Middle while stiffing them, people whose only crime is their increasing alarm over  their own livelihoods and the future standard of living for their children.  I guess they are just not down with their children being leveled to third world subsistence agricultural workers. Think where we all would  be if these people had their way on Energy Independence.  The Middle would be on its knees. The Dems offer the cargo cult solution, handouts, subsidies, fake make work jobs that do not grow the pie.  If we give you the accoutrements of the Middle class, you will be the Middle Class, Sheesh.  What is the economic rationale of a college education without worthwhile jobs.   Republicans imagine everyone in the middle will become entrepreneurs, cattle trading speculators in the future’s market, join the military or ricochet between amazing dead end temp  service jobs.
In addition,it is a big cost shifting scam involving K Street, the government, media,  even accademia, foundations, NGOs etc. They get all the gain, but they offload the pain, by shifting the cost of their failures and misadventures onto the public.  IOW they privatize the gain, but socialize the pain. The charities, foundations, and other non-profits game the tax code.  As Eric Hoffer has pointed out, many worth while causes  eventually turn into rackets.

  6. You can’t see this prescient interview too often. Charlie Rose / Sir Jams Goldsmith/ mid 90s
Sorry for the length but tough it out.

Keep in mind that there are 4 Billion people, that’s right with a B, who depend on subsistence agriculture. What happens when they are all displaced and on the move. We already know; we can look to Mexico as a model when hundreds of thousands of people are cut off from their livliehoods by Big Ag and Big Chemical.

  7. Condell is right about Obama’s “European” type of government, only I don’t think he meant Soviet Russia, which Our Barry’s regime certainly resembles.

“Condell is right about Obama’s “European” type of government,”
True – It’s what rubber stamped Executive Orders while golfing, vacationing, and lavish WH Rap & R&B parties on taxpayer money looks like.
Lacking the KGB Obamba simply used the IRS against dissidents.

  9. Great post Robert. I just attended a small social function where some of the attendees were questioning why Americans are so crazy about the 2nd Amendment and an antiquated useless Declaration of Independence. I was almost shouted down for saying no country exists as open borders. Their response was that open borders is pretty much how things are now anyways so what’s the big deal? America and the rest of the Western World is at a crossroads. If we believe in the basic tenements of the Declaration – that freedom belongs equally to all individuals in a society where economic Liberty enables their pursuit of happiness and fair justice is applied to everyone. Pat is right – the election has Global implications. Trump doesn’t fit the typical politician mould in so many ways – but it is exactly that which makes him effective. The long ignored Deplorable working class of America has a voice.

  10. This does not surprise me. Canadians are often a day late and a dollar short when it comes to political astuteness. Look how we embraced our own “open borders” globalist guy. Condell lays it out pretty clearly. People do not like seeing their own country’s character and identity disappear in favour of some crazy utopian globalist vision of the future. Allowing sovereign countries to be undermined is very dangerous for democracy.

  11. Obama has done more than any previous socialist democrat president to “Europeanize” the USSA. America has become the “communist peril” we were indoctrinated as kids to hate.
Canada is even worse. Decades of socialist liberal governments have pandered to urban Canada’s self-effacing, apologetic identity as “NOT Americans”. They’ve embraced all sorts of Eurotrash because they believed it made them appear more intelligent, tragically hip, and tres-kewl. Thankfully it’s primarily a metrosexual phenomenon that infects the urban sprawl between Niagara and Île d’Orléans. It will consume itself when the urban ghettos implode as the Muslim population reaches 5%.
Those of us in the west and north will be less effected by the social/cultural implosion that will infect southern urban Canada.
