Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Now we are developing beer snobs in addition to the plague of wine snobs we already have to put up with.
It’s a good thing she’s not running for the CPC leadership.
Here’s a better idea: brew your own.
It will be good when the Conservatives finally get a leader. The waxed poofter Turdeau has been getting a free ride.
Well Ladies why not a real Woman for Prime Minister. This Lady will not be running after extra tax-payer funded help or looking for Selfies by crashing weding parties.
Beer is what separates us from the animals.
Just another SOBER conservative … so boring … I much prefer my Canadian Politicians like that FAT, DRUNK, CRACKHEAD Mayor … whatshisname ? His antics filled my ipad screen for months and months
I’d like to see her run for the leadership; I’ve heard her on the radio, seen her on TV, she seems dependable and sensible.
I like her too but she’s not conservative enough IMO. Is it even possible to have someone speak for the free market anymore in Canada. Maxime Bernier maybe?
Bernier is the only one that qualifies so far.
The anti CPC media party trying to be fun and dismissive at the same time is quite a stretch.
I miss their old straightforward hatchet jobs on folks like Preston Manning and that Harper chap.
While I agree that people should have the option to brew their own beer, we are living in an era where Totalitarian forces are making strides toward robbing us of our freedom of speech, among other God given freedoms.
Having paid somewhat attention to politics for a while, I think that I want to vote for a grownup party’s planks and I’m beginning to feel orphaned by these erstwhile conservative champions’ less than serious banal pursuit of imagined populist issues.
Please pols, pay attention to Overweening: taxes, regulation, and the soul wrenching lack of transparency+accountability.
Hey conservatives/Progressives, you’re each and every one of you doing a bangup audition for being one of those 10 thousand monkey’s pounding away at 10 thousand typewriters.
Please give us some timeless elegant conservative issue solutions and your other job?
Yeah, that job is to hold the government to account. I’m not seeing that, and criticism while being in opposition is easier than governing by any honest measure, and you’re SUCKING at it.
You either have an serious lack of imagination, have no genuine belief in conservative values, or you are not honestly conservatives.
You already lost the last general election. This is no time for timidity. The worst has already happened.
I despise Leftists and their socialist poses.
That said, I do admire that if Leftists had their electoral effort flushed down the toilet in a general election, they would do the OPPOSITE of what our imagined Rightwing leaders.
They would double-down on their issue because they are true believers in at least the belief that their issues will pay off.
(and lets face it, dogged pursuit of the same issues is paying off for them)
Our Rightwing/Conservative leaders would seek some sort of ‘accommodation’ with what they suddenly perceived to be the “vote winning” social issues flavour of the era that, until they lost the election to the Socialists, they had been pretending to shun/eschew as an alien/opposition worldview.
So, of course having lost, they short stroke it all over the place like a slut-dog in search on a porcupine, to avoid direct confrontation with the winning power group on the substance of the issues and are blissfully unaware that they are pursuing disaster.
Unless these people get some principles and LEARN to Articulate them in a manor that Canadians who are hurting from Progressive/Liberal policy recognize as a formula for RELIEF from government and a PLAN forward toward relief and better smaller government, I have to express my non-confidence in the CPC as to the roles it’s current actors are focusing on.
I said earlier, that I feel orphaned.
I will be looking for a better solution, a better party with higher ideals than just bellying up to the TAX trough, ideals that goes beyond merely competing with it’s political rival for popularity and instead presents a plan and vision for a hopeful future for honest hardworking Canadians where Canadians can determine their own individual result aided by their own effort and perseverance, instead of believing the lie that the government is backstopping them instead of robbing their best efforts in order to redistribute the fruits of their labour to corruptly buy votes from people who have no impulse control and no ability to delay gratification for the payoff that merit would unerringly deliver if only the rule of law and blind justice applied to all equally.
(jeeze if there were sanctions for the worst run-on sentence ever, I wouldn’t live to see the light of day)
Now that Rona has tackled trade and border issues, when will she bring out the big guns and go shirtless?
My, aren’t these “new” conservatives FUN? Nice, too, not like that meanie Arpurrrr! Just reg’lar kind dudes & dudettes.
Just picture in your mind the fat one currently boating around Alberta in a pick up, like Jerry Seinfeld, although I’m thinking Kenny has a surreptitious beer in hand, like a true Albertan……well maybe a take away coffee mug anyway. Tims? Hope not. They made a name for themselves a while back about AGW anti oil related issues that made me gag at least. Hope he remembered.
I’ll sure vote for them next time, ’cause these Bolsheviks aren’t doing it for me right now.
