Years ago we went camping at Sauble Beach. After a day of rather dedicated drinking we retired to our camp site for some steaks on the open grill. The sun went down and my friend opened 2 bottles of Baby Duck. We headed to a nearby tree overlooking the water and relaxed in its higher branches, sipping on that nectar (allegedly) from the Gods. There was a noise, a sudden thud, followed by the sound of broken glass and some very decent swearing. In the darkness I asked “are you OK?”. The weak reply was “I’m just lightly wounded”. Since then I’ve viewed that phrase as injured more seriously than one would care to admit under the circumstances, but not seriously.

A pro shooter is taught 2 pulls in such a case, and then regroup. In this case he would have been down and out, with no need for further action, and that is were the problem arose, and what got the wop cop convicted. So your example of the papers reportage is BS.

I mentioned to them that lots of people of my generation drank that stuff when we were their age. They gave me a “huh?” look, almost as if they didn’t think that someone old enough to be their grandfather would even know that Baby Duck was.
I guess some things don’t change with time.

He was contained inside the streetcar, he was no threat to anyone at that moment. There was no need to shoot him. Teaser would have been perfectly sufficient. The JBT preferred to execute him and we already know the jbt escaped justice (as is typically the case).
12cm knife is a small knife. 12cm blade is a big knife but that was not the case. The blade and the grip were together 12cm, that is a small knife by any reasonable standard.
