1. Only in a Bizarro world we see otherwise rational people cheering for a grumpy old socialist nut-job purely because we want to see him beat one of the most evil and vile politicians on the planet. Celebrating Sander’s ascendancy is the equivalent to celebrating the future demise of the US republic given that the socialist US education system has nurtured generations of clueless voters culminating in the virtually entire Democrat and Independent youth demographic supporting Bernie. The only positive is that these supporters of the left seem to take character into consideration when choosing which leader they want to take the nation into economic decline and misery.

2. “Hillary is not a person whose poll numbers have ever improved with additional campaigning or public exposure.”
   This sentence comes in the key paragraph. In short, Clinton has always gone downhill in every election she’s been in. It shows how uninspired she is that a 70+ year old socialist could have gone from 60 points down to a statistical dead heat in pledged delegates. The above quote must be sending her CNN cheerleaders (Come on down, John King!) into fits.

3. if Sanders wins, or comes close (which he will), then many of his supporters will stay home on election day, or switch to the Trumpster, not good news for Witch Hilary.
   What many pollsters seem to fail to realize, is that voting for many is an emotional experience, and emotions don’t pol well.

4. The Dems must be wondering if they should go with Bernie, given he now polls above Trump for POTUS.
   No doubt Biding and Fauxcohantas are hanging around too, ready to unleash the full establishment temper tantrum, enabled by their violent do-gooders.
   As Trump rises, Clinton falls, now in slow motion but picking up steam, though the Dems have failed to guard their now evaporated lead over Trump.
   The progressive goons haven’t stopped him because they’re fighting the last election instead of the Donald. This time there’s lots of frustration with the establishment, not as prevalent in 2012, despite the disaster of Obama’s first term, with his Syrian bluff called plus the Iraq and Libya fiascos.
   The mediocracy still had control, bringing in their heavyweight advocate Candy Crowley to crush a hapless Mitt Romney, whose delusion that he could win by playing it safe continues to this day.
   Trump is telling Obama to do his job and stop campaigning. Trump is telling journalists that he will fight them every step of the way as they apply their unethical bias to his campaign. Trump is telling voters they deserve better than the progressive cabal that feathers its own nest at citizens’ expense.
   The establishment, stuck in the mud of their status quo thinking, must convince the electorate that Trump is such a loose cannon he cannot be trusted with authority, dealing internationally, with a failed record.
   Hmm, Obama issuing decrees from the Oval Office, making illegal treaties with America’s enemies and record levels of state reliance, job discouragement and intimidation identity politics. This flies in the face of voter frustration, who are fed up with being told what is good for them when they know it isn’t.
   How long can the left blame their violence, incompetence and entitled arrogance on Trump. Not long perhaps.

5. My answer to the headline: NO.
   Bernie can’t “do it” simply because the Democrat establishment wants Hillary, not some old socialist fart who may not be very friendly to THEM.
   And if, (by a true and real miracle that should convince even the most hard-line atheist that there IS a God and He cares deeply about justice), Hillary should be arrested and charged by the FBI, the Democrats will slip Joe Biden into her spot.
   Bernie, even with the help of one of our NDP MP’s, is NOT going to win the Democrat nomination.

7. By my count there are 813 delegates available today for the Dems. Counting super delegates, including the CA chiming in yesterday, Hillary already has the nomination won, but super delegates don’t confirm their vote until the DNC in July. However, in primary pledged delegates, Bernie trails Hillary by 291.
   In CA there are 475 delegates, but about 200 are super delegates. That only leaves 275 pledged delegates for Sanders. That means he can’t close the gap completely, even if he sweeps pledged delegates, so goes in to convention behind in even pledged delegates, sure to lose on the first ballot.
   So why is he hanging around? Why doesn’t he take one for the team? He doesn’t seem willing so far.
   Bernie is thinking if he can close the gap, though he knows he will cannot win at convention, contested or otherwise. He intends to stay on the ballot because he surely knows Hillary is in deep trouble (her staccato voice is becoming more monotone by the day as she and Obama play their “I know you are but what am I” antics against Trump, who seems willing to provide them with material).
   Now, with a decent showing today including winning CA, he can hold out until convention. That’s an eternity for Hillary and Bill, given the ongoing criminal and other investigations around their alleged co-mingling of government and personal business, possibly criminal charges for influence peddling.
   Should that happen, Sanders may be able hold off a Biden or other draftee from the DNC, given he has millions of primary votes and over 20 victories.
   This was a scenario we were all contemplating for the RNC, a deeply divisive convention with a possible establishment reeking drafting of a candidate.
