Do think on this–if you have children, or grandchildren, they will be introduced to gender experiments in public and Catholic schools. This is already happening. Regular parents are screwing up kids heads. There are so many bad parents out there raising kids that will have little chance to succeed in life. Gays won’t likely do any worse on average.

The whole “debate” over gay “marriage” actually became a battle over terminology. I know many conservatives who were open-minded on gay unions but felt the unrelenting insistence on calling them marriages was an open attack by activists on their values. And for simply trying to defend their definition of an institution, many were wrongly and hatefully slandered as homophobes. Gotta love the arrogant bigotry of the left and their self-righteous media enablers.
BTW, the only hills Conservatives/Republicans climb to do battle on anymore are ones that help promote their parties’ position at the trough.
The issue is one of semantics. Gay marriage has proven to be relatively trivial. Hardly any gay marriages take place in Canada. Only about a thousand a year. It’s more a question of optics.
I liken it to a police office visiting a kindergarten class and handing out plastic deputy badges. Kid goes home and shows his parents. The parents should just pat him on the head and say, “Good for you!”
The wrong response is to freak out and make a huge issue about how children shouldn’t be tasked with being law enforcement officers.
The more concerning thing is the reaction of many Conservative MP’s like Michelle Rempel. She’s not capitulating to semantics in order to dodge the issue…she’s a true believer. Maxime Bernier speaks of it in terms of freedom. Expanding the definition to include those who hold different views functions more like access to freedom. The libertarian point-of-view. That’s a bit better.
