  1. The talk about shipping lanes and fishing is largely a red herring. The big prize at stake is the oil beneath the waves, and that, unfortunately, is worth fighting for.

  2. Look, we all got conned by the free trade/no border globalists since the 1980/90’s and now we wake up to the fact that China has become a super power wanting to gain territory and not afraid to show their new war toys if there is any obstruction…And like our elbowing bully PM said, “…China can get things done on a dime”…Our Globalist masters and their giant conglomerate partners have enriched a non Democratic, human rights be damned regime to the point of becoming a military super power.
…And shame on us for having elected a UN globalist puppet.

  3. Since the west no longer has the will to fight then make it an economic war, all purchases from China stop. It will be tough to start with since we’ve all become dependent on cheap chinese goods but in the end it should bring manufacturing back to the west.

  4. So,who would that be?
With trade barriers between provinces, we don’t even have friends at home, let alone internationally.

  5. All of Obama’s opposition will melt suddenly, after the appropriately sized “donation” is received.

  6. I doubt most advocates of this policy understand how many items will disappear from your shelves. Think “Venezuelan grocery store”. Its not just the finished goods – it’s the technology and hardware to make things…

  7. Gee, I wonder why they call it the South China Sea? Maybe if it was renamed it the Extreme Western California Ocean we’d get better traction on this file :).

  8. Bring it on f—–s! I hate the Chicoms. Bast***s nearly killed my father in 1951. And he still deals with the shrapnel and PTSD to this day.

  9. Obama has nearly “finished” his agenda … of creating a chaotic, destabilized world for his republican successor. “Bring it all down, maaaannn” Obama is now the greatest Alinskiite EVER !

  10. Gee Skip,I already gave up RAT for lunch meat! Who the hell fed the Chinese before this century?

  11. The americans need to mind their own stinkin business before they get billions of people killed. The tens of millions they have already snuffed out is enough.

  12. we Canadians are going to get much poorer if the u.s. ceases to be our biggest trading partner. without their 80% share in our markets we would be as wealthy as cuba. By the way, it was totalitarian states ie. Germany and japan that got millions killed. millions more Russians died at the hands of Russians and millions of Chinese at the hands of the Chinese. Where did you come by your warped sense of history?

  13. bingo !
pundits FAIL to recognize the financial, labour, edjukashun, legal, on and on infrastructure has changed so much that ‘bringing the manufacturing back here’ AINT GONNA HAPPEN overnite.
thanks to the likes of CONservative brian mulruin followed by lieberal Cretien pushing non-stop for dropping trade barriers. and Im NOT talking about tariffs. there are other ways to protect domestic manufacturing from unfair competition.

  14. yes there bc, where do you get your factoids? another myopic fart catcher are you? or maybe all of 20th century events were just some immense scheme by the ‘west’ to assume authority over all future events. ya, ya, thats it, a conspiracy.
perhaps including the FACT that apollo 11 was faked, dubya was behind 911, the n koreans torpedoed the drilling operation that caused the huge gulf spill, what else . . . . what, you dont make these claims? well, what you do appear to claim is about par in credibility.
p.s. my daddy worked with a russian immigrant who SAW the stalinist purges and told him about it and who then told me. maybe those 2 are part of the ‘conspiracy’.
‘people believe what the WANT to believe’.

  15. You appear confused. How could you interpret what I wrote as having anything to do with our trading relationship with the Evil Empire? And you’re totally wrong about your laughable insinuation that Canada would be on par with Cuba without their influence. That claim is right out there in Koo-Koo land. Show some respect for us Canadians, you could start by turning off the Idiot Box so as to unplug your captured mind from the Evil Empires all consuming propaganda. “Warped sense of history” indeed!
Now, back to what I originally wrote. It’s none of the Evil Empires business what China does, or doesn’t do, off of the coast of China. If they were doing it off of the US coast, then of course it would be a big concern and would most definitely be there “business”. But it ain’t! Do you really want to start a war with China, because they are building a defensive position to defend them selves from an Evil Empire that has 800 military bases spread throughout the world?

  16. Lets see, it is said that the first casualty of war is the truth and they’re correct! It is also written that the victor gets to write the wars history, that too is correct!
These two factoids combined should be as easy to figure out as 2+2=4, but, unfortunately, some folks just aren’t up to it.
The reality is that we live, breath, and have our being in a Big Lie. We all can see what flagrant liars that the media are. Well, it’s just not the media, it’s everything and everywhere.
The good news is that there is an antidote for mind capture and it is as simple as ditching the Idiot Box, turning off the blabbering radio blabbers, cancelling any and all media subscriptions and the occasional bout of thinking for yourself.
    Give it a try!
