40 Replies to “Soon to be called, “Cheating””

  1. Saying one can win by committing to losing to one rival in order to defeat yet another? No you’re right, that isn’t cheating – it’s rank idiocy and reeks of the scent of loser.

  2. Seeking out grass-roots voters to send astro-turf to 1600 Pennsylvania.
Coming down to the wire, Trump is the only candidate who could now appoint the Candidate.

  3. The political powers in America, both Rep. and Dem.’s have metastasized like a bowel cancer in our nation. The diseased party isn’t giving up power easily. The taxpayer slush fund is just too much fun to play with. They will do everything in their power to keep Trump from taking it away from them. Yes, they are desperate to keep playing with taxpayer money and screwing average Americans. They don’t respect our opinions or our votes. The GOPe has got to be defeated, and Trump is the only way.

  4. I thought Ted Cruz was smarter than this? I caucused for him. I was hoping he would realize he is young enough to have many more chances, and that allying with the GOPe is a poor idea.

  5. Trump is a horrible persyn. Have you heard when he calls the media dishonest and corrupt? Compare that to the statesmyn-like Trudeau who accurately calls the media ‘our friend!’

  6. Sounded like sarcasm to me. No-one could be so stupid as to believe that the media is our friend except King Justin, and his subjects.

  7. Criminal intent by both the cruzhlio and the idiot governor, has America had enough yet?

  8. Lincoln was not the front runner in his nomination race. He formed a series of coalitions and won on the forth ballot.
Are you against Lincoln becoming president? Should the front runner – Seward have won even though a majority of the gop opposed him?

  9. Back when this race began I kinda liked Carson. Then he showed me that a very smart and accomplished man can also be a nut so I then opted for Cruz. Then whole states are foregoing votes to give their support to Cruz. Dang it I am fast running out of options here because I really can’t stand Kasich.

  10. Trump has pretty much proved that the USA is not a democracy. If he wants to be President he’s going to have to buy a few trips to Disney Land first.

  11. In chess, sacrificing a pawn to capture the Queen is considered great strategy. If Trump was making such a strategic agreement he would extol his alleged virtue of being a great negotiator.
But he’s not a great negotiator, just a briber (Chris Christie, Ben Carson), a whiner (Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.), a bully (eminent domain, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, etc.), and a cad (Heidi Cruz, Ivanka, Marla, Megyn Kelly, etc.). Not a very nice person to make President.

  12. Not true. The structure of the voting process for all states wa determined months ago. That Cruz made the most of it – worked hard and was organized – is something he should be commended for.

  13. Reminds me of a certain party in Canada who wanted to ‘work’ with the other parties in our House of Commons by agreeing not to run candidates in certain ridings in order to skew the vote thus ensuring that a certain party had the deck stacked against them.

  14. America is not and never has been a democracy. It’s a representative Republic. Be thankful it’s not: mob rule has dire consequences.

  15. The final tally would suggest that Cruz MUST have Kasich (VP)and with that Combo win Ohio…..Trump is the only one that may need “Little Marco” and can win Ohio on his own….
Poor Carly is left cooling her heels….bad pick
The real GOP are getting upset with the Piss-Ant’s game of nonsense & demonization, watch for a sudden change.

  16. “Cruz campaign manager Jeff Roe said…”To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November.”
Once again we see Trump unifying the GOP.

  17. At least he won’t be spending MY money on delegate votes … unlike Hillary who takes $millions from the University of CA to fund shim campaign.

  18. Media has bastardized the political process. Campaigns are structured around media and do not really consult voters. Not much dif between the USA and Canada.
When I read about Teddy Roosevelt and his study of philosophy and political thought and then consider what is offered today I despair. Even personal integrity does not carry any weight with most voters. Both presidential candidates, Clinton and likely Trump have serious questions about their integrity. Especially true of Clinton.

  19. Trump is unbeatable, except possibly by himself. Cheating – no; foolish – yes (some leadership); desperate – probably. The GOP seems intent on defeating itself when they have a clear candidate, even Fox shows Trump within 100 delegates, their scenarios giving very debatable victories to Cruz.
Oh but Cruz can win Indiana, where Trump leads & is likely gaining momentum, as he is everywhere – rocketing up in Pennsylvania for instance. He cannot be stopped in Convention when so many millions more primary voters prefer him to Cruz. What about Carson’s and Christie’s free range delegates? Kasich’s second/third ballot victory scenario is completely delusional. Trump comes into Convention with 1250 delegates and anyone, including Kasich comes up the middle? Cruz should consider tactically offering him VP – before Trump does.
It simply won’t get that far. Why pretend with these ridiculous scenarios worthy of the false narratives habitually followed and ordained by Democrats.
Get over it Lance et al. It’s time for the GOP to turn its guns on Hillary instead of shooting themselves in the foot. Kasich should get out now, and Cruz should follow soon, but he won’t as he puckers up to the GOP establishment.

  20. When all US news does is report on the latest polls and have an endless parade of talking heads commenting on what the latest polls mean, it really does get boring quickly.

  21. Yeah Gord, I cannot argue with history, because I cannot change it. If you are comparing what happened then to now though, it is laughable. Not even close.
Ted Cruz thunders – “I am not an establishment candidate”. Fine. Yet, he colludes with the establishment, gets paid by establishment donors, works back room deals behind closed doors to get delegates like and establishment candidates would, and now makes up a strategy with the other establishment candidate to thwart the obvious frontrunner and most likely winner. But he is totally, like, for surrrrrrueeeee not an establishment candidate.
    Whatever LOL

  22. Well Gord there are rules and then there are principles. Cruz may have the candidates based on the rules but in principle the people of those states were disenfranchised when it came to their voting for their leader. If Cruz was half the man I thought he was and he was my choice behind Carson then Cruz would have declined the delegates and asked for a normal primary vote.

  23. Just now on Neil Cavuto’s Fox Business show, an interesting comment by John Kasich was aired…..”I have friends on the rules committee who don’t buy the delegate math” (to justify his continued candidacy?)

  24. Cruz wins in Indiana and it is impossible for trump to win. PERIOD.
    Only one week away

  25. How were they disenfranchised? And how could Cruz have changed what was done by the states?
Are you seriously saying that trump is more principled ?
And Carson has no credibility when it comes to principles.

  26. Yeah, Elizabeth May was *for* strategic voting, before she was *against* strategic voting after it all went horribly wrong, her party lost big, and the strategy was proven undemocratic in her tear-puddled eyes.
Kasich is already backing up on this.

  27. Evidence please beyond your belief. I have provided data to make my argument; where’s yours?

  28. Gord please go back over all of my posts and point out where I even mentioned Trump. I said I was a Carson fan until then I was a Cruz fan until. I have never said I was a Trump fan because I an not a Trump fan. However my estimation of Cruz as a politician and a human being took a severe beating when he and his party decided to not have a primary election choosing instead to impose the candidate. Unfortunately when parties and candidates engage in such activities they lose support across the board and will likely lose the election because of it.

  29. Cruz can’t beat Trump, but he’ll beat Hilary!
Please explain how that works. Trump derangement syndrome is amazing.

  30. The majority of voters want Trump by actually voting for him, and you don’t think they should get what they’re voting for?
And you wonder why people are turning away from the party?
“Vote for what we tell you!” is a farce. I’d rather by ruled over by King George at this point. At least he tells you upfront he’ll be ruling over you instead of faking choice.

  31. Just because things have been done this way in the past doesn’t necessarily mean it has been, is, or always will be legitimate, even when the end result is one that is desired – THIS time. History is replete with examples, you know that. Things change, sometimes they even change for the better. Maybe this is one of those times. People are sick and tired of the political gentry deciding who gets to wear the feathered cap, and this time, they won’t be ****ed over, simple as that.

  32. We didn’t have time to call it anything–the Cruz-Kasich Unstoppable Anti-Trump Juggernaut collapsed over night. Amusing, in a ‘duck season, rabbit season’ sort of way.
