Missy said her daughter, who is in Grade 3, was choked on Monday and Thursday last week by two refugee boys. A chain was used on both occasions, but she cannot confirm the size or strength of the chain. She said one boy yelled “Muslims rule the world” while choking her daughter. School staff intervened, but to her knowledge, the students were not disciplined further.

Take it from me……halifax is just as bad as Toronto when it comes to admitting the obvious. When I was attending St. Mary`s University, there were hundreds of Muslim students, and some were already quite dangerous. The T-shirt, “I love NY even better without the World Trade Centre“ was popular amongst them. Jewish kids were routinely teased or threatened, and after the terror attacks there was always one group who would cheer and celebrate at the University by waving the newspapers with the headline outlining the attacks.
and just like the Canadian media, when I brought it up to the school admins…..I was told to shut up basically, or there was an inference that I was being intolerant.
I didn`t vote Liberal, but there are enough hippies and losers in this town to pretty much guarantee the only way it is going is down. Alluah Akbar is coming to a school near you.

are these people upset the article didn’t go far enough spelling out the muslim hostility or that it is verboten to mention anything concerning muslim hostility?
it all gets muddy when the headline is revised.
However this ends up, we already knew that the media in Canada were in a sorry state of disrepair. I think quite a few people reading this will know that there have been half a dozen trials and legal matters that never received any sort of adequate coverage, all of them having important implications for free speech in Canada. Whatever you think of the details, the lack of coverage is disturbing. The adolescent nature of the coverage of politics in this Justin-mania period will set dangerous precedents for further media coverage — clearly sub-standard and fawning coverage that also happened in the U.S. after Obama came to prominence although there was always a counter-weight in place there.
The only counter-weight we have in Canada is the blogosphere. Somebody close to the situation in Halifax needs to get in there and do some investigative reporting, find out what really happened and what’s happening now in the aftermath. If the story is true, and is being suppressed, we need to know that. If it was made up or exaggerated, we need to know that too.
I don’t claim to know what happened. But I am getting sick and tired of living in a country that keeps proclaiming its vast freedoms when really they are very much under attack.
Well, I certainly got out of there in time (4 years ago). That school was within walking distance. The area south of there already had a rough reputation (Spryfield) but at least it was gangs of local hoods from local families.

It will get worse, but they will not report on it. Look how the Muslim reference was scrubbed from this article. I understand not wanting to taint the whole Muslim community, but I think Canadians are more sophisticated than that. Glossing over a profound cultural divide is not acceptable either.
