CDR Salamander describes the current turmoil happening to conservative and provocative voices on Twitter.
The problem is, as always, there’s no going back. The link sharing that was once prevalent doesn’t happen nearly as much anymore. No one really wants to go back to the days of having to peruse 100 blogs to find new fodder.
One thing to do though, if you blog or share links, trim the URL’s to remove things like:
"&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter#pq=JNHQYe"
Those are tags that advertisers and source sites use to track where the links come from, in this case a CBC story. Removing them stops Twitter from getting the credit for propagating the link. No credit, no ‘$ credits’.
Via, Ace of Spades.

Thanks Lance. I read that this morning on ACE’s site. Hits home how important independent thought is and how easy it can be taken away.
SDA and SoSHQ all linking to my homeblog … it is like a mid-late ’00s reunion tour.
Excellent … at least some of us are still around.
With the failure to control the narrative using the old media, the internet must be seized and corrected.
Double plus good at Twitter.
