  1. After emerging from a later meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Coderre indicated he could be persuaded to support Energy East depending on the conditions.
Oh, I’ll just bet he did.

  2. A true liberal never represents his constituents. Power at any cost is the liberal mantra. Let us not forget PET statement, Ètell the voters what they want to hear then when elected do what you want.

  3. Mr Coderre fancies himself important, probably thinks he’s Napoleonic, far beyond the confines of of his present political reincarnation as Mayor of Montreal. If he really want’s to do something about the environment his first priority should be to put an end to dumping raw sewage into the St. Lawrence.

  4. The bottom line with Ontario and Quebec is how much money they can wring out of the West. Always has been and always will. Quebec is willing to import their oil from despot regimes but not AB. Seriously? If they tried their strong arm BS with the Saudis, Nigeria or Venezula they would be turfed. Comparing these stalwarts to western Canada is a stunning rationalization.
This will be resolved when Turdeau brings in his carbon tax on hydrocarbons in the up coming budget. He will take this money back east and it will never see the West again. If AB and SASK have any balls they will assert their right to their resources and cut the flow of money back east one way or the other. If the West does not get export corridors to the east and west coasts, at a minimum, there has to be serious economic consequences to the rest of Canada.

  5. Pauly always gets a taste, this is why I have boycotted Quebec for over twenty-five years and now it’s time to get out of Ontario.
It’s time to end equalization and cut off the “Parasites of Confederation”

  6. Um, he probably got a call from a guy named Don in Italy. Mafia runs a lot of shit in Queebeck. And you can’t scam what ain’t happening!

  7. It’s Canada East pipeline or Canada West political party, pandering to provinces notwithstanding.
Coderre’s opinions mean butkus, except to butt kissing Trudeau, his fellow Montreal Islander, though Denis the entitlement guy will provide the cover for cabin boy’s Obama/Keystone redux.
Same group of advisors, same statism, same story.

  8. I would suggest that no one becomes “Mayor” of Quebec without the consent of the Mafioso’s that run that corrupt Province… I don’t see Coderrierre as any exception… I can remember Coderrierre’s name coming up during the Gomery Inquiry into Librano corruption in Quebec… Coderrierre was on tape laughing it up while advising a Liberal Party bagman the best way to get money from the treasury board was to “tell them its for bilingualism”… of course “bilingualism” being code for, theft with no questions asked… “the culture of corruption”.

  9. The only question is: how much? Which, regrettably (and probably unfairly) is rapidly becoming my opinion of the Quebecois.
